The Only Thing Conspiratorial About The Covid Lab-Leak Theory Was Media’s Coordinated Dismissal Of It

The Only Thing Conspiratorial About The Covid Lab-Leak Theory Was Media’s Coordinated Dismissal Of It

This week, Democrat activists posing as journalists were forced to admit a hard truth millions of Americans have known for years: The outbreak of the Covid-19 virus most likely came as the result of a lab leak in China.

On Sunday afternoon, The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. Energy Department had recently provided a classified memo to the White House and several members of Congress concluding “the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak.”

“The Energy Department’s conclusion is the result of new intelligence and is significant because the agency has considerable scientific expertise and oversees a network of U.S. national laboratories, some of which conduct advanced biological research,” the report reads. “The FBI previously came to the conclusion that the pandemic was likely the result of a lab leak in 2021 with ‘moderate confidence’ and still holds to this view.”

Within hours of the Journal report’s release, corporate media outlets, from CNN and NBC News to The New York Times and The Guardian, dutifully regurgitated the Biden administration’s findings. The Narrative™ is changing, so regime media are taking their cues.

Conservatives, who had considered evidence of a possible lab leak from the beginning, have seen this routine before and remember well the coordinated squelching of a dissenting origin theory. We know exactly how these same self-professed truth-seekers went out of their way to accuse anyone who considered the possibility that Covid leaked out of a Chinese lab of promoting a “debunked” “conspiracy theory.”

“This question about the Wuhan lab — we know it’s been debunked, that this virus was man-made or modified or anything like that,” then-MSNBC host Kasie Hunt previously said. “The Wuhan Lab Leak Hypothesis Is A Conspiracy Theory, Not Science,” a June 2021 headline from Forbes reads. Other outlets that attempted to dismiss the theory include NPR, Rolling Stone, Foreign Policy, CNN, NBC, and The New York Times, just to name a few.

Legacy Media Lie, Lie, and Lie Some More

It wasn’t enough that the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, or former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe released reports and statements over the past three years confirming the lab-leak theory was plausible, if not likely. But legacy media had their narrative and followed it in lockstep.

Among the most egregious tactics used to discredit the theory was the intentional conflation of the hypothesis with speculation that Covid-19 was created as a Chinese bioweapon and unleashed intentionally on the world. Case in point: Sen. Tom Cotton.

During an appearance on Fox News in February 2020, the Arkansas Republican raised the possibility that the virus could have leaked from a lab in Wuhan, saying, “We need to at least ask the question” about a potential lab leak given China’s “duplicity and dishonesty” at the beginning of the pandemic. Despite such benign remarks, The Washington Post’s Paulina Firozi attacked Cotton in an article with the headline, “Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus conspiracy theory that was already debunked.”

The article was so grossly dishonest in attempting to conflate Cotton’s innocent speculation about the virus’ origins with conjecture that it was a Chinese bioweapon that the Post was forced to issue a weak correction on the story. Of course, that correction didn’t come until 15 months after the article was published and Cotton’s name had been successfully dragged through the mud.

Yet even with the Post’s admission that Cotton’s remarks weren’t conspiratorial, the article still reads like it could be a press release from the Chinese Communist Party. In the updated piece, Firozi still refers to the lab-leak theory as “fringe” and cites numerous so-called “experts” who dismiss “the possibility the coronavirus may be man-made.” She even goes out of her way to regurgitate comments from China’s former ambassador to the United States, Cui Tiankai, who called speculation about the lab-leak theory “harmful” and “dangerous” during his February 2020 appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

America’s Press Is Irreparably Broken

Despite their long-overdue “corrections” and attempts to maintain a veneer of credibility, legacy media’s evolving coverage of the Covid lab-leak theory is just another reminder that today’s “journalists” are nothing more than Democrat Party activists who specialize in gaslighting. In their coverage of the biggest stories over the past several years, none of the major outlets deemed credible by “disinformation” tracking groups have been accurate or honest in their so-called reporting.

From the Russia collusion hoax, to the Covid response, to Black Lives Matter riots, legacy media have always placed their personal, political agenda above the facts. No amount of too-little-too-late narrative-shifting can cover it up.

Biden says his economic plan Is Working

ATTENTION: Joe Biden is a pathological LIAR

Summit News

The Wall Street Journal published a report today that suggests Americans should combat economic strife by only eating two meals per day.

It sounds like a Babylon Bee story, but less amusing.

Eggs, cereals, fruit and coffee are among the foods that have rocketed in price the most, and so perhaps breakfast should just be consigned to the dustbin of history, according to the report.

The report notes “Egg prices increased 8.5% in January from a month earlier and are up 70.1% over the past year, the highest annual rate since 1973.”

It continues, “The deadliest avian-influenza outbreak on record has devastated poultry flocks across the U.S., leading the price of eggs to rise more than any other grocery item in 2022, according to Information Resources Inc. U.S. egg inventories were 29% lower in the final week of December 2022 than at the beginning of 2022, according to the USDA.”

They really don’t want you eating eggs.

The report also blames the “continued effects from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” for rampant inflation.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden claimed again today that his economic plan is working:

Biden said yesterday that the latest inflation report was good and that prices are down, a complete lie.

Report: Biden Is Cutting Medicare Benefits Thru Inflation Reduction Act

Two economists reported Tuesday in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that President Joe Biden is cutting Medicare benefits through the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which cuts payments for prescription drugs for seniors.

Casey B. Mulligan and Tomas J. Philipson wrote:

President Biden has accused Republicans of scheming to cut Medicare. In fact it is his signature legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act, that will lead to benefit cuts and premium increases for seniors. Medicare’s popular drug-coverage program is headed for a painful amputation.

The private plans participating in Medicare’s prescription-drug program, known as Part D, currently draw on three sources of revenue to finance prescriptions: out-of-pocket payments from patients, premium payments made by plan members, and subsidies from the federal government. In 2025, under the Inflation Reduction Act, both government subsidies and out-of-pocket payments by patients are scheduled to be cut sharply. The difference will have to be made up by premiums. But the statute inhibits this third revenue source, which is also subsidized, from increasing more than 6%. That’s hardly enough to cover inflation, let alone compensate for the other two revenue losses.

We estimate that beginning in 2025, plan subsidies—specifically, the reinsurance subsidies for the beneficiaries with the most drug spending—will be cut $30 billion, out of revenue that currently totals about $110 billion. With $30 billion less to finance prescription benefits, something will have to give. Plans currently have far too little profit to span the chasm that the Inflation Reduction Act opens between expenses and revenue.

Biden has claimed to want to cut the costs of prescription drugs like insulin, despite canceling — in his first week in office — an executive order by President Trump to lower the prices of insulin and epinephrine.

He and his party also claimed during the midterm elections that Republicans want to eliminate Social Security and Medicare, since Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) wants to reauthorize all federal spending at regular intervals.

Media Elites Admit Republicans Have Momentum 17 Days Before Election

Media Elites Admit Republicans Have Momentum 17 Days Before Election

The establishment media has been forced to acknowledge this week that Democrats are in danger of being swept by a huge red wave come November 8.

While the media praised President Joe Biden and the Democrats just a few weeks ago for a “winning streak of successes” and a stalled red wave that had “faded substantially,” the media have begun to admit that Democrats are in real danger of losing both chambers of Congress.

In just September, Steve Peoples wrote an article at Associated Press entitled, “Red wave crashing? GOP momentum slips as fall sprint begins.” The article said Democrat chances of retaining control of Congress were much improved after “a string of President Joe Biden’s legislative victories on climate, health care and gun violence.” The article slammed former President Donald Trump and his endorsed candidates in Senate swing state for struggling to “broaden their appeal.”

But the Democrats’ so-called string of “successes” have appeared to fade in the memory of the media elites, while Republican candidates have gained undisputed momentum, causing the media to almost completely change its tune. Instead of hyping Democrats, it appears to be ringing the alarm to alert Democrats of impending doom.

On Wednesday, New York Times reporter Blake Hounshell wrote an article, “Democrats’ Feared Red October Has Arrived.” The article described a midterm election cycle that is not “shaping up” to fulfill Democrats’ fantasies.

“Here’s the thing about elections: When they break, they usually break in one direction. And right now, all the indicators on my political dashboard are blinking red — as in, toward Republicans,” he wrote. “For Democrats hoping that this midterm election might be different from most others, normalcy is bad news.”

“The Senate, where Democrats have huge cash advantages in races that are driven much more by personality, still looks like a tossup,” Hounshell complained.

Polling suggests that every Senate battleground state is in play for Republicans, though Democrats are well behind in states they need to retake, such as Florida, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. In contrast, Republicans are performing well in Nevada, Georgia, and Ohio. Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Arizona are all within the margin of error with still 17 days until election day.

Hounshell was not alone in his analysis. Wall Street Journal reporter Aaron Zitner admitted in an article entitled, “Republican Midterm Prospects Brighten in Closing Weeks of Election,” that any positive momentum for Democrats in past weeks is over:

A surge of good news for Democrats in the summer and early fall, as well as a burst of Democratic engagement in the election after the Supreme Court ended federal abortion rights in June, appears to have given way to the factors that traditionally weigh on the president’s party in a midterm election.

Democratic leads in many Senate races have declined, according to aggregated polls, and Democratic candidates now trail in surveys in Wisconsin and Nevada, where they were once ahead. Control of both chambers hangs in the balance.

In the Hill, reporter Caroline Vakil even went so far on Friday as to acknowledge the Republican wave “threatens blue-state strongholds” in states like New York, Washington State, Rhode Island, Colorado, and Oregon. It should be noted Biden visited Oregon last week to vouch for the Democrat gubernatorial candidate over the surging Republican challenger, Christine Drazan, a sign Republicans could unexpectedly flip some blue seats.

“Democrats are increasingly worried that Republicans will make gains in deep-blue strongholds such as New York and Oregon as the winds appear to shift in the GOP’s favor ahead of next month’s midterm elections,” Vakil wrote. “The GOP is making competitive bids to take back governorships in both states, which reliably go for Democrats in presidential elections. The Republican gains could also extend to the House, where the GOP is making inroads in the aforementioned states, along with Rhode Island and others.”

When White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about why Biden was defending typically blue areas of the nation, she said Biden wanted to speak to the “successes” the administration has had. “We’ve been very clear that the president is going to go out, the vice president is going to go out,” Jean-Pierre said about the trip. “They’re going to talk about the successes that we have seen in this administration in the last 19 months.”

It is not clear what successes Biden has had in reducing inflation, the number one issue in every Senate swing state. According to September’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), inflation rose 8.2 percent compared to a year earlier. A recent Heritage Foundation study shows wages for American families are down $6,000 after adjusting for inflation, an increase from an earlier estimate that put the decline in real wages at $4,200.

Recent polling shows that 93 percent of registered voters are concerned about soaring inflation and the poor economy with the midterm election just 20 days away. Eighty-one percent say the economy will be a “major” factor in how they vote. Eighty percent say the same about inflation.

Nolte: Biden’s Baby Formula Crisis Still a Crisis — ‘Easier to Get Fentanyl’

Nolte: Biden’s Baby Formula Crisis Still a Crisis — ‘Easier to Get Fentanyl’

“It’s easier to get fentanyl than it is to get baby formula in Philadelphia,” a voter told surging U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Oz this week.

Welcome to Joe Biden’s America, where His Fraudulency opens the southern border to anyone who wants to poison our country with fentanyl, a country where citizens and legal immigrants still — still! — can’t get baby formula.

We’re a year into Biden’s baby formula crisis, and yet, according to the Wall Street Journal, “Adults in roughly one-third of households with infant children who typically use formula had trouble obtaining it last month, according to a recent survey by the U.S. Census Bureau.”

This is America.

We don’t have enough baby formula.

In America!

In just two weeks, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has rebuilt two bridges knocked out by a recent hurricane. Two bridges in two weeks. But after a full year, Joe Biden and the full force of the fascist federal government can’t fix the baby formula shortage. So naturally, this ongoing crisis receives no fake media coverage. It’s such a fail on Biden’s part, it has to be kept quiet.

More:

On average, 40% of adults with household incomes less than $75,000 reported difficulty finding formula the previous week, twice the rate of those whose household incomes topped $75,000.

Parents and caregivers have been scouring stores and websites to find baby formula this year after a February recall by Abbott Laboratories one of two top U.S. formula makers, compounded ongoing supply-chain problems.

America was once the most dynamic, wealthy, and prosperous country in the world. Then Joe Biden became president.

In less than two years, Donald Trump made America energy independent and brought unemployment levels in the black and Hispanic communities to record lows.

Donald Trump ensured we had a miracle COVID vaccine in less than a year.

Nevertheless, with more than a year to solve this problem, America still has a baby formula shortage under Joe Biden, still has supply chain issues, and brutally high energy and food prices.

Democrats are very efficient at delivering gay porn and drag queens into our schools. Democrats are amazingly efficient when it comes to emptying our prisons and flooding city streets with violent criminals.

Democrats are superb at pushing things that will mutilate our children: irreversible puberty blockers, chemical castration, breast and penis removal.

But one thing Democrats can’t deliver is baby formula.

Maybe that’s because Democrats hate babies.

Hey, if we can’t abort them, let’s starve ’em!

Claim: Saudis Decided to Cut Oil Production After Biden Fist-Bump Summit

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered a drop in oil production increases after leftist American President Joe Biden met with him in Riyadh this summer, the Wall Street Journal claimed in a report citing anonymous rumors on Tuesday.

The meeting between bin Salman, commonly referred to as MBS, and Biden has been colloquially dubbed the “fist-bump summit” after a bizarre photo emerged of the two leaders smiling and bumping fists. The photo was taken as a sign that Biden had abandoned his campaign promise to turn Saudi Arabia, a longtime American ally in the Middle East, into a “pariah” state in response to the gruesome 2018 killing of Islamist Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Most reports citing White House insiders indicated that the objective of the Biden visit was to convince Saudi leaders to increase oil supplies in order to lower prices. Biden himself, in a Washington Post article, denied that this was the case, but did not identify any other concrete objectives. Biden has refused to contemplate the possibility of increasing American oil production to drop prices.

Biden has significantly damaged relations with Riyadh since taking over the presidency, almost immediately deteriorating the relationship by making one of his first acts in office delisting the Iran-backed Houthi insurgency in Yemen as a terrorist organization. The Houthis – whose official slogan is “Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse The Jews, Victory To Islam” – have expanded the scope of the Yemeni civil war by bombing targets in Saudi Arabia, presenting a particular threat to Saudi oil facilities.

Biden has also alienated Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations with repeated, and failed, attempts to restore former President Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal, which resulted in windfall profits for the rogue Islamist government pouring into terrorist groups such as the Houthis and members of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

Saudi impatience with the Biden administration came to a climax last week when the Saudi-led OPEC oil cartel and Russia agreed to a 2-million-barrel-a-day cut in oil production, likely to result in far higher gasoline and other oil fuel prices in the United States immediately before the midterm elections.

According to the Wall Street Journal, citing “people familiar with the talks,” the OPEC+ production cut followed desperate pleas from the Biden White House to delay any production cuts for another month, which would result in price hikes occurring after the midterm elections.

“Saudi officials dismissed the requests” with “a resounding no,” according to the newspaper, in part because “they viewed [the request] as a political gambit by the Biden administration to avoid bad news ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.”

The Wall Street Journal further claimed that MBS himself has lost patience with Biden and was “angered” by his attitude during the Riyadh visit in July – so much so that he lowered a proposed increase in oil production in August after Biden urged the country to encourage OPEC to pump more oil.

The newspaper cited sources “inside the Saudi government” for its claim that MBS was annoyed by Biden.

If anything, said the people inside the Saudi government, the visit angered Prince Mohammed, who was upset that Mr. Biden went public with his private comments to the Saudi royal over Mr. Khashoggi’s death,” the Wall Street Journal reported, “which prompted Saudi officials to publicly contradict Mr. Biden’s characterization of their interaction.”

“In August, the Saudis had planned to push OPEC+ to raise oil production by 500,000 barrels a day in an effort to please Mr. Biden,” the newspaper continued, “but Prince Mohammed ordered the increase lowered to a token 100,000 barrels a day after the Biden visit, the people inside the Saudi government said.”

An outraged Biden administration reportedly responded to that move by badgering the Saudis even more, allegedly cementing Riyadh’s “resolve” not to help.

Publicly, the Biden administration has responded to the historic 2-million-barrel-a-day cut by accusing Saudi Arabia of siding with Russia in the eight-year-old war against Ukraine.

“Look, it’s clear that OPEC+ is aligning with Russia with today’s announcement,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed last week when the announcement surfaced.

White House spokesman John Kirby said on CNN Tuesday that Biden was considering a complete “reevaluation” of diplomatic ties to Saudi Arabia.

“He’s willing to work with Congress to think through what that relationship ought to look like going forward. I don’t have any decisions to announce or speak to today,” Kirby said, “But I think you’ll find that the president obviously disappointed by the OPEC decision and is going to be willing to work with Congress as we think about what the right relationship with Saudi Arabia needs to be going forward.”

Saudi Arabia has greatly increased purchases of Russian oil since sanctions on Russia’s fossil fuel industry were imposed in the first half of the year, but it has taken a neutral stance on the war. Last month, MBS took credit for a prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia that resulted in the release of 215 Ukrainians, ten foreigners (including Americans) who were fighting for Ukraine, and 56 Russians. Both Ukraine and Russia thanked Saudi Arabia for its involvement.

House Republicans Subpoenaed By J6 Committee After Having Nothing To Do With Jan. 6 Blast ‘Banana Republic’ Probe

House Republicans Subpoenaed By J6 Committee After Having Nothing To Do With Jan. 6 Blast ‘Banana Republic’ Probe

A pair of top House Republicans subpoenaed by the Select Committee on Jan. 6 in an extraordinary escalation of the probe’s witch-hunt proceedings slammed the investigation as illegitimate in a joint op-ed on Thursday.

Writing in The Wall Street Journal, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told of the drawn-out battle with the committee over compelled cooperation after J6 panel members subpoenaed the pair plus three Republican colleagues earlier this month.

“While Americans are struggling to put gas in the tank and food on the table, Democrats are busy weaponizing government to attack Republicans,” McCarthy and Jordan wrote. “With no effective check on its power, the Select Committee is trampling on fundamental Constitutional rights. It is investigating the political speech of private citizens and demanding access to their personal records and private communications.”

The pair railed against the committee for being illegitimate after Speaker Nancy Pelosi barred Republican appointments. Her deputies have continued to operate in secrecy, refusing to share documents with colleagues across the aisle.

“Rather than operating openly, the Select Committee is working behind closed doors and selectively leaking cherry-picked information,” they wrote. In recent weeks, the committee has repeatedly leaked personal exchanges between private citizens to smear political dissidents.

“When it has presented some evidence in public, the committee’s been caught deliberately altering documents—including a text message pertaining to one of us—to malign conservatives,” they added, referring to Federalist reporting when the probe was caught manipulating texts between Jordan and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. “One would expect this sort of inquiry from a banana republic, not from the U.S. House of Representatives.”

The joint op-ed previews a refusal from Republican lawmakers to offer sworn testimony to the committee after denying voluntary participation, which was requested earlier this year. Conflicts of interest were raised when the members received subpoenas two weeks ago, as the House counsel responsible for representing lawmakers simultaneously signed off on their authorization.

“This attempt to coerce information from members of Congress about their official duties is a dangerous abuse of power, serves no legitimate legislative purpose, and eviscerates constitutional norms,” McCarthy and Jordan wrote. “Even if the Jan. 6 Select Committee was acting in good faith, we have no relevant information that would assist in advancing its legislative purpose. Democrats know this because we told them in January.”

The five Republicans in the lower chamber are among the hundreds of others who have been subpoenaed even though they have no connection to the Capitol riot; they’re simply political dissidents Democrats seek to punish. One subpoena even targeted a political operative working to unseat Committee Vice-Chair Liz Cheney in Wyoming and was not involved in any capital events on Jan. 6 whatsoever.

The committee is now in the process of moving to the “public phase” ahead of the November midterms, an election cycle that is traditionally hostile to the party in the White House. Democrats on the probe conceded to The Washington Post that the committee’s work was all about the midterms, as they hope to revive interest in the 17-month-old riot with televised hearings. The first major hearing of the summer is scheduled for June 9.

Biden Hires Harvey Weinstein Apologist As New White House Communications Adviser

Biden Hires Harvey Weinstein Apologist As New White House Communications Adviser

President Joe Biden announced a pair of hiring moves Thursday as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki heads for the exit on May 13.

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will step into Psaki’s role as press secretary and Anita Dunn, an adviser from the campaign who also co-chaired the transition team, will return to the White House as senior adviser and assistant to the president. Dunn, who was a White House senior adviser in the early days of the administration through August, also led strategy for disgraced ex-Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

“Psaki has set the standard for returning decency, respect and decorum to the White House Briefing Room,” Biden said in a statement. “I thank Jen her service to the country, and wish her the very best as she moves forward.”

Psaki will be taking a job at MSNBC following her White House departure. That leaves the White House comms shop to Jean-Pierre and Dunn.

According to BuzzFeed in 2017, Dunn was not paid for her work on behalf of Weinstein, who was convicted of rape in 2020, but helped the celebrity producer navigate the public relations crisis from the sex scandals. Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison at 67 years old after six women testified against him.

In the first year of the Obama administration, where Dunn also served as White House communications director with an open vengeance for Fox News, the Wall Street Journal reported on Dunn’s admiration for former Chinese dictator Mao Tse Tung as a favorite political philosopher.
