Hollywood’s Beloved ‘Gender Rights’ Nonprofit Time’s Up Closes After Years Of Siding With Alleged Democrat Abusers

Hollywood’s Beloved ‘Gender Rights’ Nonprofit Time’s Up Closes After Years Of Siding With Alleged Democrat Abusers

After a dramatic launch at the 2018 Golden Globes in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, the so-called “gender rights” organization Time’s Up raked in over $22 million from many of Hollywood’s most prominent names such as Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Shonda Rhimes, and Reese Witherspoon. Just five years later, Time’s Up is now officially closing its doors after the group was revealed to be nothing more than another partisan operation that opted to protect Democrats from the very type of sexual assault and workplace inequality allegations they claimed to be fighting against. Unsurprisingly, the celebrities who enthusiastically backed the legal fund are radio silent.

“Time’s Up will formally cease its operations by the end of January and direct its remaining $1.7 million in funds to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund (TULDF),” The Hollywood Reporter reported this week.

Time’s Up first revealed its partisan bias during Joe Biden’s presidential campaign when former Senate staffer Tara Reade came forward accusing a married Sen. Biden of pushing her against a wall, kissing her, and forcibly penetrating her with his fingers under her skirt in 1993. Although the organization claimed Reade’s allegations should not “go ignored,” it was later discovered that its own public relations firm, SKDKnickerbocker, was headed by Anita Dunn, a top Biden campaign strategist.

Dunn was also reported to have previously given Weinstein “damage control advice.” The irony — that Time’s Up was created in response to the Weinstein allegations as an effort to stop and prosecute other predators — is lost on no one.

“I actually cried a little because I felt really betrayed,” Reade told Law & Crime at the time. “They never told me that their public relations was run by Anita Dunn. I found out in real-time reading Ryan [Grim]’s article.”

“From my perspective: the payments look like a way to silence me further from getting my story heard,” Reade said of the conflicting interests between SKDKnickerbocker and Biden’s campaign.

It wasn’t that they were staying out of politics. Time’s Up was of course proud to take bold stands against politicians such as Donald Trump and figures like Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, over whom it organized a “national walk-out” based on the thinnest of allegations.

But Time’s Up’s silence on Biden and other Democrats such as Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax would be small potatoes compared to revelations found in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ 2021 report that Time’s Up chief, Tina Tchen, and TULDF co-founder Roberta Kaplan were asked by former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office for guidance on how to respond to sexual harassment allegations brought by a former Cuomo aide, Lindsey Boylan.

Kaplan resigned from the Time’s Up board after the AG’s investigation found that Kaplan gave input on a letter Cuomo’s office drafted to rebut Boylan’s allegations.

“[Cuomo aide Melissa] DeRosa reported back to the Governor that Ms. Kaplan and the head of Time’s Up thought the letter was okay with some changes, as did [Cuomo ally Steven] Cohen, but everyone else thought it was a bad idea,” the AG’s report reads.

Less than a month after the AG’s report came out in the fall of 2021, Time’s Up’s A-list advisory board quietly dissolved. Celebrity names on the 71-member board included Witherspoon, Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman, Janelle Monae, Brie Larson, Tessa Thompson, Padma Lakshmi, Laura Dern, America Ferrera, Kerry Washington, Tarana Burke, Alyssa Milano, Gretchen Carlson, Amy Schumer, and Julianne Moore.

According to Variety, Time’s Up co-founder Nina Shaw wrote an email to the members instructing them, “There is no need for your individual resignations, as the group no longer exists.” Further, she explained that “The goal behind a quick dissolution of the GLB [Global Leadership Board] was to shield all of you from unfair scrutiny.”

In other words, no need for the public handwringing and apologies that would normally be necessary had the accused not belonged to the Democratic Party. You may go quietly into the night.

Time’s Up’s disgusting partisan leanings ultimately disparaged and put an end to their own cause. They got what they deserved, but what about Hollywood’s most vocal and prominent #MeToo defenders and fundraisers? Will there be any repercussions or mea culpas about how their money went to support alleged predators like Cuomo? No, of course not.

Biden Accuser Tara Reade Lashes Out After Cuomo Resigns: ‘Expose the Corruption’

Biden Accuser Tara Reade Lashes Out After Cuomo Resigns: ‘Expose the Corruption’

Following New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) resignation after an investigation found he sexually harassed multiple women, famed Biden accuser Tara Reade has called for an investigation into the president and the people who protect him.

Speaking with Fox News, Reade set her crosshairs on the #MeToo organization Time’s Up for working with Andrew Cuomo to discredit his accusers.

“Time’s Up committed the most hideous betrayal to protect their most powerful friends and not only not protect survivors but cause harm,” Reade said.

“The revelations and Cuomo’s resignation is a signal to the powerful men with nasty behavior that survivors’ voices will be heard and their behavior no longer rewarded. Not from a governor and not from the president of the United States,” she added.

Prior to Cuomo’s resignation on Tuesday, Time’s Up chairwoman Roberta Kaplan resigned from her position after it was revealed that she advised Andrew Cuomo at the height of the scandal instead of supporting his accusers.

“Kaplan advised the Cuomo administration last year when he was accused of sexual harassment by former economic development adviser Lindsey Boylan,” Breitbart reported on Tuesday. “Last week’s report by New York attorney general Letitia James (D) found Kaplan gave her approval to a letter drafted by the Cuomo administration attacking Boylan’s credibility and motives. Human Rights Campaign leader Alphonso David also reviewed the letter.”

In a lengthy op-ed for Russia Today (RT), Tara Reade described her feeling of devastation after the organization declined to take her case under its wing:

In 2020, I was trying to get some measure of protection and hire a lawyer. I went to Time’s Up in January of 2020 on a quest for an attorney. I also thought Joe Biden might drop out of the presidential race. Wishful thinking. I was on a conference call with a director at Times Up Legal Defense Fund and a staff member who were informing me I could not qualify for the public relations arm of their services.

I was devastated.

A couple months prior they had accepted my case and vetted it. I was being referred to lawyers that would possibly represent me. None from the organization ever did. However, they kept asking me everything about the case. I thought I had the safety of this non-profit that protected women and helped them bring forward their cases. I could not have been more mistaken.

In March of 2020, Tara Reade claimed that then-senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted her while she served as an aide in his Senate offices during the Clinton administration. Shortly thereafter, she detailed her account in multiple interviews and filed a criminal complaint against the former vice president with the Washington, D.C., police department.

A former neighbor of Reade and Reade’s brother have both publicly stated that Reade told them of the alleged assault in the 1990s. Evidence also suggests that Reade’s mother called into CNN’s Larry King in the 1990s to complain about a prominent senator with whom her daughter had “problems.”

In her statement to Fox News, Reade called on President Biden to resign. “I hope for justice. Cuomo resigned today and Biden should also resign,” she said.

Biden Accuser Responds to White House Dismissing Unwanted Touching Allegations as ‘Heavily Litigated’

Biden Accuser Responds to White House Dismissing Unwanted Touching Allegations as ‘Heavily Litigated’

The White House dismissed Tara Reade’s, one of President Joe Biden’s accusers, claims of unwanted touching as “heavily litigated during the campaign,” while saying Biden has “been clear and outspoken about the importance of women.”

Reade responded to a clip on Twitter showing White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responding to questions from a reporter asking if the White House would support an “independent investigation of allegations into the president” from a female Secret Service agent, Reade, and others.

The reporter mentioned there was an investigation into New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) allegations.

Reade responded by tweeting, “Ask Psaki: Did I miss the investigation and litigation? I sure did not miss the smears and attacks on my character during Joe Biden’s campaign as I came forward. Was it safe to come forward? I think not.”

Psaki dismissed the idea of any type of investigation. She said the allegations against the president were “heavily litigated” during Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

She also tied to reassure everyone in the room that Biden “has been clear and outspoken about the importance of women being respected and having their voices heard and being allowed to tell their stories and people treating them with respect.”

Previously reported during the campaign trail, “President Joe Biden adamantly denied Reade’s claims, leading many corporate media outlets to drop the story. Some outlets even wrote opposition research articles against Reade to question her credibility.”

Hours after the independent investigators’ report into Cuomo (D) claimed the governor was found guilty of allegedly sexually harassing multiple women, Biden called for him to resign. Biden told reporters, “I think he should resign.”

At the time, Biden also admittedly said he did not know the full details of the report.

White House Dismisses Unwanted Touching Allegations Against Joe Biden as ‘Heavily Litigated’

The White House dismissed Wednesday the idea of an independent investigation into women’s allegations against President Joe Biden of inappropriate touching or actions.

The New York Post’s Stephen Nelson asked press secretary Jen Psaki during the daily press briefing if the White House would support an investigation into allegations from female Secret Service agents complaining of Biden skinny dipping at his pool in front of them when he was vice president and allegations of sexual assault by one of his former Senate aides Tara Reade.

Psaki dismissed the idea of an investigation, claiming the allegations were already “heavily litigated” during the 2020 presidential campaign.

In 2020, President Joe Biden adamantly denied Reade’s claims leading many corporate media outlets to drop the story. Some outlets even wrote opposition research articles against Reade to question her credibility.

“I understand you are eager to come back to it,” Psaki replied to Nelson.

Psaki reiterated Biden’s support for women who felt mistreated by men in politics.

“The president has been clear and outspoken about the importance of women being respected and having their voices heard and being allowed to tell their stories and people treating them with respect,” she said.

The allegations against Biden have resurfaced after an independent investigation into New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo uncovered allegations of sexual harassment or unwanted touching from 11 different women.

Biden and an overwhelming number of fellow Democrats joined in calling for Cuomo’s resignation.

“I think he should resign,” Biden told reporters at the White House on Tuesday, despite admitting that some of Cuomo’s embraces of women could have been “totally innocent.”

Cuomo and his lawyer used photos of President Joe Biden’s interactions with voters to defend his public touching of women during his political career.

“I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances,” Cuomo said in a video Tuesday, defying the accusations.

Tara Reade Breaks Her Silence

Tara Reade Breaks Her Silence

Former Senate staffer Tara Reade, who came forward last year alleging that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993, is speaking out again.

Democratic Debate

After New York City mayoral candidate Scott Stringer invoked her during the June 2nd Democratic primary debate, Tara Reade called him out.

Stringer was accused of kissing and groping a volunteer who worked for him during his tenure at the New York State Assembly. The volunteer, Jean Kim, claims that he “inappropriately and relentlessly pursued a sexual relationship” with her.

Stringer has strongly denied these allegations, but when the subject came up during the debate, he took it one step further.

The debate moderator asked Stringer point blank if Kim was “lying” about her claims. Of course, as a Democrat, this question is difficult. Even if he knows for a fact that she is lying, he can’t say it, because it would go against the left’s #BelieveAllWomen narrative.

Instead, he invoked Tara Reade, stating: “So I believe that women should be heard, I believe that Joe Biden’s accuser should be heard, and then, facts kick in. And what I’ve tried to say is that there have been inconsistencies and I’ve denied the allegations.”

“It’s up to the voters to look at the facts,” Stringer continued. “There’s a number of media outlets that are reporting more facts every day, including tonight in the Intercept, and I ask people to judge the facts. This is something that happened 20 years ago. I do believe that Jean should be heard. I’ve said that on day one, I continue to say it, but I also have to say that these allegations are false and that there are inconsistencies.”

Reade’s Response

Reade wasn’t happy with Stringer’s comments, firing back on social media.

“Stop using my name right now Scott Stringer to defend yourself,” she tweeted.  “There was no investigation into Biden. Do not use my case as an example of your alleged innocence. This is ghoulish. Sexual assault is non partisan.”

In a statement to Fox News, Reade discussed her frustration.

“I think it’s appalling that after no proper investigation into Biden other Democrats are using my case as a blueprint to get around sexual misconduct allegations,” she told the news outlet. “This is the height of hypocrisy and exposes the craven reality of how Democratic leadership operates and does not care about sexual violence or protecting victims.”

The Bottom Line

Though Joe Biden is innocent until proven guilty, it is appallingly hypocritical that Tara Reade’s allegations were not investigated.

Allegations against Donald Trump, and other conservatives like Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, are covered relentlessly by the mainstream media, and investigated even if there is no evidence. Why aren’t Democrats held to the same standard?

The fact that Stringer, a relatively unknown Democrat candidate, would feel comfortable invoking Reade in his own defense shows that the left doesn’t actually care about “victims.” They only care about using them to gain more power.

AOC Drops ‘Messy Moment’ Bombshell About Joe Biden

AOC Drops ‘Messy Moment’ Bombshell About Joe Biden

New York House of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, otherwise known as AOC, had a ‘messy moment’ when she dropped a bombshell about Joe Biden on National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, “It certainly seems as though something has happened. I’m not sure…frankly, this is a messy moment, and I think we need to acknowledge that — that it is not clear cut.”

Tara Reade has accused Biden of a sexual assault while she was a staffer for Biden when he was a Delwarae Senator in the early 1990s. While this moment might simply seem messy for Ocasio-Cortez, this event haunted Reade for decades, culminating in her revealing her horror with Creepy Joe Biden.

Reade’s fearsome moment occurred in the spring of 1993. She was assigned to deliver a duffel bag to then-senator Biden on Capitol Hill. Reade claims that Biden pinned her against the wall and penetrated her with his fingers without her consent. ‘At the time, Reade says she told her brother, her late mother and a friend,’ according to NPR

Democrats Doubt Reade’s Moment

Ocasio-Cortez is not the only Democrat to doubt Reade’s frightening moment on Capitol Hill. Liberal Dianne Feinstein has also attacked Reade’s credibility. Feinstein told CNN’s Manu Raju that Reade’s accusations are “totally different” than Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Feinstein had provided Ford’s letter of allegations against Kavanaugh to the FBI.

In regards to Reade’s alleged moment, Feinstein stated to the press, ““And I don’t know this person at all who has made the allegations. She came out of nowhere. Where has she been all these years? He was Vice President…(and) to attack him in this way to me is absolutely ridiculous.”

You would assume the party that supports the #MeToo movement would support Reade as they supported Ford. However, Ocasio-Cortez and Feinstein are not the only female Democrats defending Creepy Joe.

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi vindicated Biden’s response regarding Reade’s moment. Pelosi, who has endorsed Biden for president, spoke to CNN’s New Day host Alisyn Camerota and acknowledged being a “big, strong supporter of the #MeToo movement.”

Pelosi defended Biden by saying, “I am impressed with the people who worked for him at the time saying that they absolutely never heard one iota of information about this, nobody ever brought forth a claim or had anybody else tell them about such a claim.”

The Speaker of the House had an opposite attitude towards Kavanaugh during his hearings.

Seems like a #MeToo moment predicates on whether the accused is a Democrat or Republican, according to the left. Just appraise comments from liberals such as Ocasio-Cortez, Feinstein, and Pelosi.

Rose McGowan Body Slams Alyssa Milano: ‘Get Off My Coattails You F**ing Fraud’

In a blistering social media attack, actress Rose McGowan has accused her former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano of “stealing” the #MeToo movement and creating a toxic work environment on the set of their hit WB teen series. Her accusations caused the hashtag #AlyssaMilanoIsALie to trend on Twitter.

Their fight has even drawn in Tara Reade, the former Senate staffer who has accused Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her three decades ago.

Rose McGowan fired off her Twitter salvos late Friday, calling Milano a “fucking fraud.”

“You stole #metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana,” McGowan tweeted, referring to activist Tarana Burke, who started the “Me Too” movement in 2006. “You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist.” (Rose McGowan has accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her in 1997 at the Sundance Film Festival.)

Rose McGowan then accused Milano of behaving unprofessionally on the WB series. “You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this shit!’ Appalling behavior on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF [as fuck].”

She concluded: “Get off my coattails you fucking fraud.”

Alyssa Milano appeared to respond to McGowan’s accusations by sarcastically calling for people to help #AlyssaMilanoIsALie to trend. “Everyone saying sweet things—I see you. Thank you. Everyone saying horrible things—I see you. Fuck off.”

The two actresses have been feuding for years. McGowan publicly expressed her antipathy for Milano in a 2018 ABC News interview, calling Milano a “lie” and alleging that the actress is a puppet of Creative Artists Agency, the powerful left-wing talent agency that represents numerous Hollywood stars and Democrat politicians. (Milano is married to CAA agent Dave Bugliari.)

CAA has faced accusations that it protected Harvey Weinstein and even tried to quash accusations about his history of sexual assault and harassment.

“Do you think I don’t know these people?” McGowan told ABC News. “Do the math. Who’s behind Time’s Up? CAA. Where do they meet? CAA? Who needs good PR? CAA. Who are part of the pimp problem? CAA.”

Their feud recently boiled over after Alyssa Milano endorsed Joe Biden despite Tara Reade’s allegation that the presidential candidate sexually assaulted her in 1993 when she worked as a Senate staffer. Milano was a prominent face in the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, supporting Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against the Supreme Court nominee.

On Friday, Tara Reade jumped into the feud, defending McGowan while accusing Milano of being an “enabler of rape.”

“Joe Biden sexually harassed and assaulted then ruined my life,” Reade tweeted. “Not once not twice but three times. YOU ARE COMPLICIT @Alyssa_Milano and an enabler of rape And I will NEVER let you forget how you tried to erase me.
Now stop trolling Rose.”

Tara Reade: DNC ‘Complicit’ in ‘Gaslighting of Survivors,’ They’re ‘Enabling’ Perpetrators

During an interview with Fox News released on Thursday, Biden accuser Tara Reade stated that the Democratic National Committee is “complicit” in and “participating” in “gaslighting of survivors,” and that the lineup of speakers at the DNC is “a thumb in all our faces.”

Reade said, “I’m a sexual assault survivor. So, to me, what the speaker lineup showed is kind of a thumb in all our faces. … Rape culture in the United States is thriving under the Democratic Party. I feel like they are not only enabling, but they’re allowing that behavior to continue, just by virtue of who they lined up as speakers, who have credible sexual assault and harassment allegations against them. And I feel like there’s an abandonment of the voices that were trying to be heard, that really wanted systemic change about issues like sexual harassment in the workplace and sexual assault and other issues.”

She also stated, “What I find really astounding has been the hypocrisy around the sexual assault and sexual harassment that I brought forth. You know, when there were Republicans being accused of that, the media and the reaction from the Democratic Party was quite different and quite aggressive and quite hostile to the perpetrator — potential perpetrator before it was even investigated. In my case, the hostility was directed right towards me.”

Reade also argued, “It’s not so much about believing someone before it’s been investigated. It’s more about how it’s approached. For instance, in my case, you shouldn’t have to lose everything to come forward.”

Reade said Democrats are “pretending that they’re the upholders of the Me Too, like a shield, but meanwhile, some of their main Democratic elites, some of the main, powerful people involved with the party are actually perpetrators themselves. And it’s this denial, this collective denial and gaslighting of survivors, that is so concerning to me. And frankly, I think the Democratic National Committee is complicit. Because they’re not just ignoring it. They’re participating [in] it and continuing the behavior and enabling those perpetrators.”

Fox News also reported that Reade said she would be “more than happy” to speak at the RNC.
