If You Don’t Want Woke Bureaucrats To Ruin America’s 250th Birthday, Start Planning Now

We are four years away from celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday, a remarkable milestone for innumerable and ineffable reasons. The odds were stacked against us, are stacked against us, starting from our own successful overthrow of the world’s most powerful king to the barbarism of the Civil War, through economic crashes, dustbowls, the scourge of slavery, the rise of Hitler, and the Cold War. Yet America lives on.

The miracle of America deserves annual celebration, as commanded by Founding Father John Adams, and does so much more so on her remarkable 250th birthday. It is a celebration for all the world, for all the world is better because America was born. 

It would take extensive preparation and patriotism to do it justice. We know the celebration will center in Philadelphia, and that a website has been created, but the site is already sprinkled with stories emphasizing left-wing causes.

America deserves to have her leadership throw a great celebration that celebrates our unity more than it accentuates our differences. I don’t know if such a celebration is even possible.  

A House Divided

We are uniquely divided in America right now because it is the belief in America herself that divides. Too many elected Americans, officials who took an oath to uphold the Constitution, have such incredible disdain for the nation, her history, her values, her legacy.

Just look at when the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling by the Supreme Court ruling received reactions from members of Congress unthinkable a decade ago. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a former Harvard Law professor, called the court illegitimate, Rep. Maxine Waters, a member of Congress since 1991, said “to h-ll with the Supreme Court,” and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a graduate of Thomas Jefferson’s own University of Virginia law program, declared the Supreme Court a “weapon.”

This is the language of political insanity. So full of anger and contempt toward America and her institutions for daring to defy their own political aspirations, the most vocal Democrats propose to practically abolish America altogether. Pack the Supreme Court. End the Electoral College.

Even the executive branch charged with upholding the law is in complete defiance. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said as much. So did the Department of Justice, and that is the epitome of irony. When the Pentagon (the one with all the guns and the tanks) promises to disobey SCOTUS and the concept of the rule of law, then we are not one nation, indivisible, and certainly not under God.

We are a house divided. Even if we could unite around the great jubilee of 2026, the events would be a monster, the bastard child of political wokeness and white liberal guilt – a shapeless, unbeautiful eyesore full of shame and self-loathing. 

A concert on the Mall? What music? Not American greats like George Gershwin or Aaron Copeland, because someone would protest because they are white men. A rock star like Pink? She wants half of America to “never f-cking listen to my music again” because of Dobbs. I guess we can always count on Bruce Springsteen to sing some “I hate America” themed songs, but not for Republicans, as he told then-Gov. Chris Christie. 

What Kind of Monument Could We Agree On?

Imagine the 2026 committee proposing a new monument on the National Mall. It’s laughable.  A monument to whom? About what? Not the Founding Fathers. Some of them had slaves. Not the Constitution, it was written by some people who had slaves.

Not freeing the slaves, because even Abraham Lincoln didn’t do enough to end slavery, prompting a California school to rename a high school. Nothing from America’s past quite lives up to the impeccable standards the modern leftist holds deeply in his (her, zir, they, tippy tum tum) heart, and so therefore nothing is to be celebrated. Sackcloth and ashes usque ad mortem

I can see the monument born from the brain trust of the 250th-anniversary planning committee, the “Columbus Genocide Indigenous People and Slave Memorial for Harvey Milk and Korematsu and Climate Awareness.” It would be a glass cube, but inevitably someone at The Atlantic would pan its right angles as symbols of the western patriarchy. 

No proper 250th monument could ever be built. Besides, there aren’t enough foreign-born, Marxist-trained, gender-fluid, non-white sculptors for the selection committee’s contest.  

As a side note, the beloved World War II Memorial on the National Mall, which receives millions of visitors a year and over 200,000 World War II veterans on Honor Flights, was universally panned during its construction. The Boston Herald called it “vainglorious, demanding of attention and full of trite imagery.” The Philadelphia Inquirer didn’t hold back, writing “its pompous style was favored by Hitler and Mussolini.”

It’s also worth noting it took years to approve and construct. We’ve got four before the 250th, and there’s nothing in the works.

 What Do You Celebrate about America?

Yet it’s not too late to give America the proper celebration. Here’s a first step: the 2024 presidential election. We must have a debate question: If you win in November, the nation’s 250th birthday will fall during your presidency. What do you celebrate about America? What virtues or spirit of America would you put forward for national recognition?

I’d be curious how every candidate would answer it. Word vomit from Democrats, I imagine, to hide the fear of appearing patriotic or out of concern that celebrating America is tantamount to embracing her inevitable flaws. 

Conflict has always been a part of America, as it is a part of any family. Sometimes I think we are headed for a national divorce, a breaking point, past the point of no return. A rallying cry around the 250th could unite us while also identifying those unworthy of elected office, unworthy of America’s promise, and undeserving of a taxpayer salary.

A national project about America will bring out what is good about America: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We need a massive, four-year operation, bringing some national focus, some wholesomeness, and some patriotism back to our nation.  

We have four years. Let’s start planning today.

The colonies had been in conflict with England for over a year in June of 1776. A Continental Congress convened in Philadelphia on June 7 of that year. Richard Henry Lee from Virginia offered up a resolution with these now famous words:

“Resolved: That these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is, and ought to be, totally dissolved.”

Lee’s words spurred the drafting of the Declaration of Independence. A committee of five was appointed to draft a statement making the case for the colonies, a statement to the world of the intent and the reason behind that intent.

Members of the Committee were John Adams of Massachusetts, Roger Sherman of Connecticut, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, Robert R. Livingston of New York and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia. Jefferson took on the task of actually drafting the document as we know it today.

The Continental Congress reconvened on July 1, 1776, and on the following day, the resolution for independence by Lee was adopted by 12 of the 13 colonies, with  New York not voting. Minor changes were made to the Jefferson document.

Work on the document continued through July 3 and into the afternoon of July 4, when the Declaration was officially adopted by the Congress. Of the 13 colonies, nine voted in favor of the Declaration, two — Pennsylvania and South Carolina — voted No, Delaware was undecided and New York again abstained.

As we all know, John Hancock, President of the Congress made his signature large enough for King George to read “without his spectacles.”

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. Those are the facts about our Declaration of Independence, the history that we as school children have learned since the creation of this great nation that we celebrate, that we love and honor so.

Usually we humans can’t adequately find words to express our own sentiments, let alone those of a nation and successive generations to come, but Jefferson and that Continental Congress did just that.

The words have stood throughout several centuries as a clarion call for freedom, for breaking free of tyranny, for men to put aside their individual causes and join together to battle for the right of every man, woman and child together to become a people united in goal and resolve.

Today as we celebrate, today as we pledge allegiance to a flag that has gone from 13 stars to 50, may we remember not only the sacrifice, but the resolve. May we honor not only the words, but the unity and deeds of our forefathers. May each of us dig deep into our hearts and work out our differences for the betterment of our nation and our children and grandchildren.

Say a prayer for America today. Rekindle hope today. Honor the past by determining the future.

Leftists Abandoned The Fourth Of July Long Before The Dobbs Decision

Just one week before the Fourth of July, an alarming number of Americans announced they will not celebrate Independence Day due to the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson decision.

“I won’t be celebrating the 4th of July this year. American women just lost our citizenship rights. Nothing to be proud of or celebrate at the moment,” failed Democrat candidate Pam Keith tweeted.

“After what the Trump court did Friday what ‘independence’ are we celebrating on July 4? I don’t see how this country can celebrate ‘independence’ when you just f-cked over every woman in America,” crime author Don Winslow tweeted.

“Joining women in solidarity wearing black and Not Celebrating the 4 th of July ,because it certainly is not a day of independence for us. It never was,” actress Rosanna Arquette declared.

One woman even wrote a letter to the editor of “Texas’ oldest newspaper” explaining her decision.

“I will not be celebrating July 4 this year or likely any year hereafter; at least a[s] long as my government considers me, born female, to be a second-class citizen to whom the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not afforded,” she wrote.

Like so many others, these Americans believe they should no longer support or be proud of their country simply because of a perfectly legitimate judicial decision by the one branch of government that doesn’t easily cower to intimidation campaigns.

It’s a sad reality but, unfortunately, not a surprising one. Patriotism in the U.S. reached record lows in 2020, a year when corrupt corporate media outlets such as PBS amplified complaints that the holiday is racist and obsolete to black Americans.

Even last year, Democrats such as former Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill tainted Independence Day with antics such as viewing a propaganda film about the Jan. 6 election integrity protests and Capitol riot.

“We’re going to start a new family tradition in my family. On the Fourth of July and every Fourth of July going forward, we’re going to watch that video that The New York Times put together of January 6th,” McCaskill said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” 

This type of partisanship-over-patriotism tradeoff has been happening for years and is only exacerbated by Democrats who have increasingly distanced themselves from their Republican friends, family, and neighbors.

It’s more common nowadays for streets in cities like Washington D.C. and Austin, Texas to be lined with pride and Ukraine flags than showcase the stars and stripes. That’s why Twitter users thought the New Yorker’s recent cover depicting two politically opposed neighbors flying American flags needed fixing to be more representative of the current political climate.

More drastically, it’s also why Democrats are perfectly comfortable disowning branches of government like the highest court in the land, not to mention our nation’s governing document.

There are countless reasons to celebrate the United States but most of those reasons no longer align with the leftist ideology driving the Democrat agenda. Dobbs is another great reason to celebrate the God-given right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” for all Americans (including babies) this Fourth of July but leftists are freaking out because they only tolerate the U.S. when its institutions benefit them.

The Free State of Florida Leads Nation in Wage Growth, Palm Beach County 15.6 Percent, Miami Dade 11.1 Percent, National Average 5.9 Percent

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the County Employment and Wages Summary Wednesday [DATA HERE].  The economic tracking measures the employment and wage increases at a county level throughout 343 counties in the nation.

The BLS measures the data on an annual basis from December 2020 through December 2021.  The average rate of wage growth at a county level was 5.9%, far lower than the measured 8.5% inflation rate.  That means real wages, the income of most Americans at the county level have dropped.

However, within the data Florida stands out as having the largest number of counties exceeding the national average.  23 Florida counties are included in the BLS tracking.  An incredible 21 out of 23 Florida counties have wage growth that far exceeds the national average. [BLS, Table-1]

Additionally, Florida holds the top spot for the highest annual rate of wage growth in Palm Beach County with 15.6%…. AND… Florida holds the top spot for the highest annual rate of wage growth amid the ten largest counties, with Miami-Dade wage gains of 11.1%. [BLS, Table-2]

Congratulations Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida workers.   You have the rare distinction of having wage growth overall that exceeds the BLS measured level of Biden inflation.   It’s no wonder why so many people are heading to Florida for jobs.

Senator Rand Paul has blocked a fast-track senate vote on the additional $40 billion funding package created by Joe Biden and House Democrats.  Both Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell approved a fast-track vote; however, senator Rand Paul (KY) stood defiant against their effort.

Despite the high-profile pressure from the two Senate leaders, Rand Paul refused to move and that means the Senate will have to take procedural steps to overcome his objection, which could take several days. “My oath of office is the US constitution not to any foreign nation and no matter how sympathetic the cause, my oath of office is to the national security of the United States of America,” Paul said in his remarks before objecting to moving to swift passage of the bill. “We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the US economy.” WATCH:

The $40 billion supplemental spending bill for Ukraine is more than the total military budget of Russia.  The combined Ukraine aid packages now exceed $60 billion, more than the entire budget for the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security including border protection.

Rand Paul is on the right side of history with his position, and the overwhelming majority of Americans agree with him.   However, the opinion of the people is irrelevant to the Senate.   Even democrat Senator Chuck Schumer seemed to admit this point when he said Rand Paul’s position “was not the opinion of the overwhelming majority here,” meaning in the senate.  Schumer would have used other terms if he thought the American people agreed with him.  They don’t, and he knows it.

As a Pennsylvania resident, I will vote for Kathy Barnette for this U.S. Senate seat — as she is an amazing woman, and the perfect choice.

I know that Dr. Oz has all the credentials: name recognition; President Trump’s endorsement; huge financial support — BUT — I don’t trust this guy. My belief is that he would be a clone of Mitt Romney. Oprah sure does like him.

Dr. Oz has positions which I do not agree with. He’s been a supporter of Red Flag laws; does not believe life begins at conception; etc. He is socially Liberal — anti-gun & pro-choice. If he’s been a resident of Pennsylvania, it’s news to me. Carpetbagger comes to mind.

I was disappointed that President Trump endorsed him, and perhaps because he believed that Dr. Oz had the best chance to defeat the Democrat opponent. I have no idea.

To date, this Senate seat has not been held by sterling people.

In my lifetime, there was Arlen Spector. Remember him? Spector loved the limelight (very vocal); perfectly fit the definition of a RINO; and during the impeachment of Bill Clinton — cast his vote according to Scottish Law.

Spector’s seat was then filled by Pat Toomey, who was pretty much invisible. Toomey’s positions ran counter to general
Conservative positions, and he voted to impeach President Trump. Toomey was as sleazy as one could get.

Geographically, both Spector & Toomey came from the same area — southeastern PA — which is a more Liberal & an economically higher region. It is actually a large suburb of Philadelphia.

So, with much hope & a pure conscience — my PA vote for this Senate seat is for Kathy Barnette.

The most likely Democrat candidate will be John Fetterman, who is a THUG in every sense of that word. Currently, John Fetterman is Governor Tom Wolf’s Lieutenant Governor. Pure thug.
