Biden Took More Classified Documents and Stashed Them at Second Location

President Biden has been caught red-handed. His administration not only launched an FBI raid against a potential 2024 presidential campaign rival prior to the midterm elections, a clear-cut case of “election interference,” it covered up a damning discovery made just days prior to the midterms about the current president’s own possession of classified documents.

As reported by National Public Radio, Biden said the documents were “found in a box in a locked closet at the Penn Biden Center office in Washington, D.C.. They were turned over to the National Archives as soon as they were discovered by his personal attorneys on November 2, before the midterm elections.”

The news about Biden’s arguably illegal possession of classified documents was only reported this week — months after the midterm elections.

In another startling discovery on Wednesday, Biden aides reportedly found at least one more batch of classified documents located at a place other than the Penn Biden Center office in Washington, D.C. Details on the exact nature of the classified documents nor their precise location were not immediately forthcoming.

On Tuesday, President Biden claimed he was surprised when staff told him that classified documents were at the Penn Biden Center. He also said he was not sure what they contain.

Biden literally read from a script on Tuesday in his response to the press on the embarassing matter.

“I was surprised to learn that there are any government records that were taken there to that office,” he read. “But I don’t know what’s in the documents.”

According to a report from CNN, the ‘classified’ documents contain information on highly sensitive subjects, including his ties to Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom.

“Among the classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president discovered in a private office last fall are US intelligence memos and briefing materials that covered topics including Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom,” a source told CNN.

“A total of 10 documents with classification markings were found last year in Biden’s private academic office and they were dated between 2013 and 2016,” the report added.

According to Richard Sauber, the special counsel to the president, Biden periodically used the office space at the center from mid-2017 until the beginning of his 2020 campaign.

As reported by CBS News, the documents have prompted a “review” from a U.S. attorney’s office.

“Attorney General Merrick Garland has assigned the U.S. attorney in Chicago to review classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington,” CBS News earlier reported, based on confidential sources. “The roughly 10 documents are from President Biden’s vice-presidential office at the center, the sources said. CBS News has learned the FBI is also involved in the U.S. attorney’s inquiry.”

In a situation similar to the “classified” marked documents found at former President Donald Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago, the boxes found at the Penn Biden Center with these classified records also contained personal Biden family documents.

Donald Trump, however, was President of the United States with ultimate declassification authority over the documents, while Joe Biden took the documents when he was vice president.

The FBI’s raid on Trump on August 8 at the behest of the National Archives has not yielded the “nuclear secrets” that the Washington Post reported were believed to be in Trump’s possession. The Post has subsequently reported that a “review by agents and prosecutors found no discernible business interest in the Mar-a-Lago documents, people familiar with the matter said.”

Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social Monday night, where he posted: “When is the FBI going to raid the many homes of Joe Biden, perhaps even the White House? These documents were definitely not declassified.”

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, sent letters to the National Archives and Records Administration and the White House Counsel’s Office on Tuesday expressing his concerns about the recently revealed documents.

“For months, NARA failed to disclose to Committee Republicans or the American public that President Biden — after serving as Vice President — stored highly classified documents in a closet at his personal office. NARA learned about these documents days before the 2022 midterm elections and did not alert the public that President Biden was potentially violating the law,” Comer wrote in his letter to the National Archives. “Meanwhile, NARA instigated a public and unprecedented FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago — former President Trump’s home — to retrieve presidential records. NARA’s inconsistent treatment of recovering classified records held by former President Trump and President Biden raises questions about political bias at the agency.”

Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), the top Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has requested a review and a damage assessment.

“This discovery of classified information would put President Biden in potential violation of laws protecting national security, including the Espionage Act and Presidential Records Act,” Turner wrote to Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines. “Those entrusted with access to classified information have a duty and an obligation to protect it. This issue demands a full and thorough review.”

The ODNI has been tasked with examining documents found at Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago last summer for possible threats to national security.

The revelations about Biden’s possession of classified documents from his time as vice president are a black mark on the record of a president whose Justice Department led an unprecedented FBI raid against former President Donald Trump. Biden’s DOJ even conducted the FBI raid months prior to the 2022 midterms election — a blatant case of political interference.

On the other hand, the Special Counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, is now in an extraordinarily difficult position of bringing a case against a former president, who had ultimate declassification authority at the time he procured the documents, while overlooking a current president’s same alleged crime that took place when he was only vice president, and possessed no such authority.

“Monday’s revelation that classified documents were found in a private office previously used by Biden blew a cannon hole in any potential case against Trump,” Fox News legal analyst Greg Jarrett recently argued.

“If Garland is foolish enough to proceed anyway, the former president could assert selective prosecution as an affirmative defense,” Jarrett added. “No one else has had his home raided by the FBI or faced criminal indictment.”

The Biden administration’s selective prosecution of Donald Trump, who has a credible defense for possessing ‘classified’ documents, while the current president is clearly guilty of the crime goes beyond mere hypocrisy. It is a pattern of corruption that the Democrats have established: ‘Accuse your political enemy of the crime that you are actually committing.’

Ranked-Choice Voting Keeps Rigging Elections

Ranked-Choice Voting Keeps Rigging Elections

As different states and municipalities across the country adopt ranked-choice voting, it’s become obvious this mind-boggling election system deserves a new name: rigged-choice voting.

After nearly two months of tabulation, Alameda County, California, — one such ranked-choice voting (RCV) adoptee — announced it got the count wrong for its Nov. 8 election. As The Wall Street Journal reported, the California county admitted it made systemic errors while tabulating ballots. As a result of the snafu, an Oakland School Board race flipped: The top vote-getter (and certified winner) must now hand his board seat over to the third-place finisher.

While gross negligence on the part of some Alameda County election officials is not only probable but likely, RCV’s Byzantine election system must also take the blame. In it, voters rank candidates in order of preference. If no candidate receives a majority of votes in the first round, the last-place finisher is eliminated, and his voters are reallocated to the voter’s second-choice candidate. The process continues until one candidate receives a majority of votes. For the Oakland mayor’s race, it took nine baffling rounds of RCV for one candidate to receive the narrow majority. The local NAACP chapter demanded a manual recount but scrapped it due to the expense.

In the case of the Oakland School Board election, officials blame a software configuration problem for the error (even the machines were confused about how to count the RCV-way). But is it right for a candidate who receives a plurality of votes on the first go-through to eventually lose to someone who finishes last? Often, the victors that emerge from ranked-choice voting are not the candidates a majority of voters favor. Case-in-point: Democrat Mary Peltola won Alaska’s lone congressional seat despite nearly 60 percent of voters casting their ballots for a Republican.

What’s behind the RCV takeover? As The Federalist has previously reported, partisan Democratic activists and moderate Republicans are pushing RCV as a legal mechanism to push out more revolutionary (read: populist) candidates in favor of establishment-backed contenders. As Project Veritas has documented, the moderate, nominal Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski was behind the campaign to change Alaska’s primary to an RCV system, ensuring the defeat of her Trump-backed challenger Kelly Tshibaka. Had Alaska not implemented RCV, Tshibaka likely would have defeated Murkowski in the primary.

There is a myriad of problems with RCV, as the Alameda County debacle shows. The Foundation for Government Accountability notes that ranked-choice voting causes ballot exhaustion (when a ballot is cast but does not count toward the end election result), diminishes voter confidence, and lags election results. It can take weeks or even months for a ranked-choice race to be counted, threatening the security of the process.

If Americans desire democracy and election integrity, rigged-choice voting is clearly not the way to go.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo Unseats Nevada Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo Unseats Nevada Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak

Nevada voters have chosen Republican Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo to replace Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak rather than experience a second term under his leadership, the Nevada Independent projected on Friday night.

The Nevada Independent projected Lombardo’s victory several days after the midterm election, following vote counting delays in several counties. The New York Times shows Trump-endorsed Lombardo a little more than two points ahead of Sisolak, 49.2 percent to 47.0 percent with 93 percent of the vote counted. Lombardo is unseating the first Democrat to win the office since 1994.

Lombardo and Sisolak ran a close race throughout the entirety of their campaigns, with Lombardo pulling ahead by several points in the polls over the past few months. RealClearPolitics gave Lombardo a 2.8-point average lead over Sisolak by Election Day.

Sisolak conceded soon after Lombardo’s projected victory, stating that while it is “not the outcome I want, I believe in our election system, in democracy and honoring the will of Nevada voters.”

Throughout his campaign, the state’s two-term top law enforcement officer honed in on crime and on Sisolak’s draconian leadership during the pandemic, which resulted in business closures, school closures, and learning losses, as well as inflation and border security. Sisolak, like many Democrats around the country, hoped to hedge his bets on the issue of abortion after the Supreme Court issued its Dobbs decision in June.

According to KTNV, Sisolak reported spending $13.6 million this year, and Lombardo reported spending $4.8 million in the final campaign contribution and expense reports.

“Both reported more than $1 million to spend in the final weeks, and political committees have poured millions more into the race,” the report states.

In the historically purple state, former President Donald Trump was not favored in the state in 2016 or 2020. President Joe Biden won the state by 2.4 percentage points in 2020. However, unaffiliated voters, which make up a large swath of Nevada voters, have been nationally leaning toward the GOP and are expected to have played a huge role in the outcome of the race.

Republicans, Don’t Fall For The Left’s Post-Midterms Trump Trap

Republicans, Don’t Fall For The Left’s Post-Midterms Trump Trap

While we wait for Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia to count their votes with the urgency of a DMV staffer on break, maybe Republicans should not accept the invitation from Democrats and the media to spend the next two years moaning about whether it’s time to “move on” from Donald Trump.

It’s true that as of Wednesday afternoon, the election was not the decisive win for Republicans that was anticipated. Everyone still thinks the GOP will control the House come next year and the Florida results show that Republicans have turned that crucial state ruby red. On the other hand, a breathing cadaver defeated the Republican in Pennsylvania’s Senate race and the victory margins have been otherwise slim. But that the elections should be some form of reckoning for Republicans to either throw Trump overboard or cuff themselves to his ankles and swallow the key is a very, very stupid way of thinking about the future.

It’s a false dilemma designed to frustrate Republicans into believing that the party has no good options to move forward — either declare now that Trump is dead weight or pledge undying loyalty to the former president.

Those are not the only two options and Republicans taking cues from the left would be like a gazelle taking directions from a lion.

Recent history is clear. Trump single-handedly revived and revolutionized an entire political party, turning an old country club into a shining Costco, a place where bikers, boaters, and business owners alike can all find the things they need at a good price. What he’s done and where he’s gone since, and in the future, won’t change it. For that, Republicans should be eternally grateful.

Why should there be any need for a messy and public divorce? Just the same, every election doesn’t need to be a competition for which GOP candidate can hug Trump the closest. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis rarely says a word about him, though when he does, it’s always with gratitude. And it works!

Choosing between a party with or without Trump is impossible. Entertaining the question is a trap. Don’t fall for it.
