Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker Activates National Guard Over 0.01% of Biden’s Border Crisis Arriving in Illinois

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) is activating the National Guard over 0.01 percent of President Joe Biden’s record-breaking illegal immigration crisis arriving in the sanctuary state via migrant buses sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R).

For more than two weeks, Abbott has sent about 500 border crossers and illegal aliens to Chicago, Illinois, which prides itself on being a sanctuary jurisdiction for illegal aliens.

The 500 arrivals account for just 0.01 percent of the estimated five million border crossers and illegal aliens who have crossed the southern border since Biden took office.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) has called the migrant buses from Texas “immoral” and “unpatriotic” as well as “racist and xenophobic.” Those statements come as Lightfoot has relocated many of the arriving border crossers and illegal aliens to the suburbs of Chicago.

Now, Pritzker has called up 75 members of the Illinois National Guard to aid arriving border crossers and illegal aliens. The sanctuary state is expecting 1,000 border crossers and illegal aliens on buses from Texas every week for the next 15 weeks.

“I’m not going to mince words here, the governor of Texas is forcing on New York and [Washington] D.C. and Chicago and potentially other places, a needlessly last minute and complex process, that is a heartless display of politics over people,” Pritzker said in a press conference this week.

Lightfoot, last week, called on Biden to “step up” with “federal support” to aid the sanctuary jurisdiction with the migrant buses.

The migrant buses sent to Chicago are a fraction of what American border communities are forced to sustain with about 6,000 illegal aliens crossings every day.

Recently, in the Del Rio Sector of the Texas-Mexico border, Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 13,000 border crossers and illegal aliens — averaging almost 1,900 apprehensions a day in the area — which is about a third of Del Rio’s total population.

Martha’s Vineyard Isn’t The First Time Democrats Failed To Live Up To Their Empty ‘Sanctuary’ Promises

Martha’s Vineyard Isn’t The First Time Democrats Failed To Live Up To Their Empty ‘Sanctuary’ Promises

Earlier this month, a Washington Post editorial acknowledged there was “no end in sight to the procession of buses inbound” to Washington, D.C., and praised Mayor Muriel Bowser for earmarking $10 million for the nearly 10,000 illegal immigrants who have arrived in the capital — about 15 percent of whom intend to remain there.

The Biden administration pretends it has the burgeoning problem of illegal immigration under control. Late last month, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that people aren’t just walking across the border. And just last week, Vice President Kamala Harris insisted the border was “secure.”

Much of the national media are happy to play along with this deliberate deception. The same corporate media that last year blithely ignored the federal government’s mass, midnight airlifting of illegal immigrants to New York; Jacksonville, Florida; and points beyond are now obsessed when a southern governor flies 50 Venezuelans to swanky Martha’s Vineyard.

In their eyes, when the administration ships tens of thousands of illegal immigrants under cover of darkness, it’s no big deal. But if the Post spots 50 people flown into Martha’s Vineyard, somehow, it’s a “crisis.” The media never accused the administration of using migrants as pawns or being inhumane, yet the latter is doing exactly what Texas and Arizona are on a vast scale.

The Post’s editors argue that “state and local officials nationwide must accommodate a flow of migrants — in schools, shelters, streets” as if there is no alternative. They seem unaware that for 250 years, the United States had an immigration law and that, for much of that time, the executive branch did its job, enforcing the law and defending our border.

What the open-borders, sanctuary-city crowd are at last realizing is that their blank checks can be cashed. New York and Washington’s social services are drowning under a mere 10,000 arrivals each. They’re lucky not to be El Paso (population 684,000), which is dealing with 1,400 illegal migrants arriving per day, or Yuma (population 97,000), which has received 250,000 so far this year.

Mayor Bowser’s $10 million might sound like a lot, but putting just 200 people in hotel rooms in Washington at $200 per night comes out to upwards of $15 million annually, and educating the “about 70” new illegal immigrant children now enrolled in D.C. public schools will cost a couple million more for the first year. What happens next year?

New York City already has 7,600 migrants in its homeless shelters, which are 99 percent full, and is struggling to find housing for 5,000 new arrivals. As if trying to put out a fire with an eye-dropper, the city has opened a $6.7 million “welcome center” in Manhattan to receive migrants arriving by bus. Cost estimates for housing the city’s noncitizens already exceed $300 million a year. To complicate things, New York requires residents to spend at least 90 days in a shelter before being eligible for housing vouchers. It also requires a background check to verify applications. This normally takes a month, but it will presumably longer to process illegal immigrants who have no records that can be checked.

Even assuming all the new arrivals actually claim asylum, the average wait for an initial hearing in New York is over three years. In the meantime, they will be public charges on the city’s schools, hospitals, and housing. How long will New York taxpayers put up with this? Well, Mayor Eric Adams has admitted that the city is reaching the end of its rope, and officials are now said to be reconsidering their “right to shelter” commitment to house unlimited foreign indigents on top of New York’s plentiful home-grown needy.

New York and Washington actually look tough compared to Chicago. Mayor Lori Lightfoot proudly signed a “Welcoming City” ordinance in February 2021 to stop city police from working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. But when the first busloads of 50 migrants arrived in early September, she packed them off to neighboring Burr Ridge without telling its mayor.

Later, when 500 migrants arrived in Chicago, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker declared an emergency and called out the National Guard. Coincidentally, Chicago has suffered almost the same number (491) of murders this year, but that’s not considered an emergency worthy of mobilizing the guard.

How long will this game of pass-the-parcel continue? Migrants deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. However, that does not require those who enter illegally to stay here — on the taxpayer’s dime — until our overwhelmed immigration courts can get around to hearing their cases. Under the Migrant Protection Protocols, they could be housed outside our borders while their cases are considered. Even if not, ICE has to be allowed to do its duty, and those who fail to file for asylum or whose cases are denied after due process should be quickly deported as the law requires. It’s time President Biden stopped denying the crisis at the southern border and accepted the truth. Only then can we work for a national solution to the ongoing migrant crisis.

Watch– Democrat Lori Lightfoot at Pride Parade: ‘F*ck Clarence Thomas’

Watch– Democrat Lori Lightfoot at Pride Parade: ‘F*ck Clarence Thomas’

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) targeted Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas with vulgar language at a Saturday pride parade.

Taking the stage the day after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, Mayor Lori Lightfoot responded to someone in the parade’s audience: “Fuck Clarence Thomas!”

It’s unknown to whom or what Lightfoot was exactly responding, but the mayor was in mid-speech about the Supreme Court’s ruling on abortion.

“So we know what happened in the Supreme Court yesterday. If you read Clarence Thomas’ concurrence, he said …” Lightfoot said before responding to someone in the crowd. “Thank you. Fuck Clarence Thomas!”

“He thinks that we are going to stand idly by while they take our rights: our right to marry, our right to have children, our right to live!” Lightfoot added:

It is not the first time Lightfoot has used language in a vile way. After the Supreme Court leak of the draft Dobbs opinion in May, the Democrat mayor took to Twitter to call the “LGBTQ+ community” to arms.

“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms,” she said.

Lightfoot’s call to arms preceded at least 23 pro-life organizations being vandalized throughout the nation, according to Catholic Vote.

Lightfoot: SCOTUS NY Gun Ruling Doesn’t Respect Federalism, Could Hurt Court Legitimacy in Wake of Roe Opinion Giving States More Power

Lightfoot: SCOTUS NY Gun Ruling Doesn’t Respect Federalism, Could Hurt Court Legitimacy in Wake of Roe Opinion Giving States More Power

During an interview on MSNBC on Thursday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot criticized the Supreme Court’s ruling on New York’s gun laws for failing to see “the importance of federalism.” And stated that she’s worried the ruling will “the legitimacy of the court, particularly given the leaked draft of the Roe decision.”

Lightfoot stated, “We were part of an amicus effort on the behalf of a number of states in support of the New York law and really focusing on the importance of federalism. But unfortunately, given the composition of this court, we were not surprised that they struck down the New York law. But I think that they gave ample opportunity for New York and other states to pass other laws…commonsense restrictions on gun use, and particularly people displaying weapons in public, which is itself a threat. And I think Mayor Adams is absolutely right, it is going to make it more challenging for police officers all across New York State to be able to do their job. It doesn’t have any immediate consequences for us here in Chicago, and it’s interesting that it’s coming, obviously, on the heels of the bipartisan effort in the Senate.”

She added, “The fact that the court is coming down with this decision feels tone-deaf and I worry that it undermines the legitimacy of the court, particularly given the leaked draft of the Roe decision.”

Backlash Against Soft-On-Crime DAs Continues As Group Claims Enough Signatures To Recall L.A. Attorney

Backlash Against Soft-On-Crime DAs Continues As Group Claims Enough Signatures To Recall L.A. Attorney

A recall campaign aimed at ousting Los Angeles County’s soft-on-crime District Attorney George Gascon told Fox News Wednesday the effort received enough signatures to force a referendum on the ballot.

The Recall George Gascon campaign told Fox that organizers reached more than the 567,857 signatures needed by the July 6 deadline, and are aiming to collect 650,000 to ensure a buffer in case county officials declare signatures invalid. The campaign is the second attempt to rid Gascon from office after organizers failed to gather enough validated signatures last year.

“Simply clearing the required threshold is not enough – we must build the necessary cushion for signatures that are inevitably invalidated,” the group said in a campaign statement. “The only thing that can stop us at this point is complacency.”

Since becoming L.A.’s top prosecutor in December 2020 when he ran on criminal justice reform, Gascon has emerged as a national mascot for California’s sweeping crime wave terrorizing residents. Gascon has barred staff from pursuing sentencing enhancement and has also stopped prosecuting juveniles as adults no matter how heinous the crimes.

Further north, San Francisco residents frustrated by rampant lawlessness under a similarly left-wing reformer decisively voted to remove their own district attorney, Chesa Boudin, by roughly 55 to 45 percent last week.

The momentum against liberally reform-minded prosecutors in light of an ongoing crime wave has put other district attorneys of the same stripe on notice across the country. Several prominent incumbents told The New York Times that Boudin’s lost California contest is a lesson on messaging.

“We have to acknowledge that crime is up, that people are afraid,” Illinois’ Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx told the paper. “I think for too many folks when they talk about reform, they don’t talk about the link to public safety.”

“Countermessaging, however, can be tough,” the Times reported. “A story about 1,000 people who were allowed to await trial at home with their families and hold on to their jobs can be less compelling than that of one person who hurt or killed someone while out on bail.”

Voters, however, are placing blame for rising crime on the leftist prosecutors who decline to press charges as “smash-and-grab” robberies became the norm.

In October, Foxx drew criticism from her own mayor, Lori Lightfoot, for declining to pursue cases against suspects in a deadly shootout.

“Having been a prosecutor myself, having been briefed and looked at the evidence myself, I see ground for charges,” Lightfoot said.

Charges were eventually filed four months later.

Last month, a 911 dispatcher in Chicago criticized them both for an absence of leadership after a 35 percent spike in year-to-date crime.

“It’s crazy here in Chicago,” dispatcher Keith Thornton Jr. told Fox News. “It’s done, the city is done. If we don’t get new people in these positions to lead the city, the city is done.”

Rep. Boebert and Chicago’s Lightfoot Exchange Jabs After Mayor’s ‘Call to Arms’ over SCOTUS Leak

Rep. Boebert and Chicago’s Lightfoot Exchange Jabs After Mayor’s ‘Call to Arms’ over SCOTUS Leak

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) exchanged jabs with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) this week after the Democrat mayor made a “call to arms” over the leak of the Supreme Court draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

On Monday, days after the leak, Lightfoot echoed the panic from pro-abortion activists, calling her LGBTQ allies to action.

“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms,” the Democrat declared. “We will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!”:

Lightfoot’s call to arms raised eyebrows, as some such as Boebert acknowledged the irony of her statement, since Democrats have long accused Donald Trump and his allies of encouraging insurrection on January 6.

“Insurrectionist,” the congresswoman quipped, prompting a retort from the mayor.

“Excuse me. Insurrection is your thing. Not ours,” Lightfoot wrote:

It remains unclear how Lightfoot mentally justified her own, seemingly literal call to arms, ignoring it by making a reference to the January 6 protests. While Democrats and a handful of RINO Republicans accused Trump of inciting insurrection, the effort did not prevail.

Boebert, however, used the opportunity to highlight the Democrat mayor’s stunning inability to control the rampant violence in her own city:

“Lori Lightfoot just issued a ‘call to arms’ to her fellow radicals directly on Twitter,” the congresswoman continued. “While people are being slain in her streets on a daily basis, all she can worry about is endangering more lives with her reckless words. Shame on her”:

Indeed, Chicago saw yet another violent weekend, as 23 were ultimately shot, as Breitbart News reported. Nearly 200 have been killed in the city this year alone, according to reports.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Calls For Violent Insurrection Against SCOTUS

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot encouraged violence on Monday in a tweet asserting the U.S. Supreme Court’s leaked opinion draft signaling the downfall of Roe v. Wade means the justices will come for the“LGBTQ+ community” next.

“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms,” she wrote on Twitter. “We will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!”

The tweets came after a weekend of attacks on churches and pro-life centers and in the midst of coordinated mobs of Democrat activists descending upon the homes of conservative justices and their families. Due to the increase in calls for violence, security — including high-grade and unscalable fencing — has been erected around the besieged Supreme Court. The Senate also voted Monday on a bill to increase protection for Supreme Court justices and their families who have been threatened.

Lightfoot is one of many Democrats to issue such threats. In 2020, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer stood on the steps of the Supreme Court and personally threatened Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh if they didn’t issue opinions aligning with his views on abortion.

The Supreme Court has not signaled any desire to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges — and the Dobbs v. Jackson draft opinion specifically noted it and other key cases deal with fundamentally different issues than abortion — yet Lightfoot is not alone in her fearmongering about it. Since the Dobbs draft opinion was leaked, Lightfoot’s Democrat allies who feel threatened by the probable end of Roe, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the ladies on “The View,” and the corporate media, have not only lied about the court’s intentions but have also called for action against the justices, the physical Supreme Court, and the American political system as a whole.

Even President Joe Biden hinted that the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision could threaten “a whole range of rights.”

In addition to spreading blatant disinformation with the goal of undermining SCOTUS, Lightfoot also explicitly called for political violence against U.S. institutions, something she previously denounced.

Lightfoot was one of the many Democrats who blamed former President Donald Trump for the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 202, and claimed he “incited this violence” with his words.

“I am in disbelief with what is unfolding in D.C. right now,” Lightfoot tweeted at the time. “President Trump and his enablers incited this violence. Shame on every elected official in Congress and elsewhere who fomented this anti-democratic insurrection by extremists. This is not democracy. This is a disgrace.”

Twitter banned Trump for language it claimed posed a “risk of further incitement of violence,” but Lightfoot’s Supreme Court tweet that explicitly demands a “call to arms” and a “fight” remains untouched by the Big Tech censors. Democrats in Congress also tried to impeach Trump for telling his supporters to “fight like hell,” but so far, Lightfoot’s incendiary tweet remains uncondemned by her own party.

Police: Three Bodies Recovered from Chicago Waterways in Two Days

Police: Three Bodies Recovered from Chicago Waterways in Two Days

The bodies of three individuals were pulled out of Chicago’s waterways over the past two days, according to law enforcement, and one has been identified.

As ABC 7 reported Sunday:

The Chicago Police Department said its marine unit recovered a body on from Lake Michigan on the Near South Side. The unidentified man was found unresponsive and pronounced dead in the 3000 block of South Fort Dearborn Drive. Detectives are conducting a death investigation, pending autopsy results.

Per the ABC report, two bodies were recovered from different areas of the Chicago River on Saturday, law enforcement said:

A woman’s body was discovered in the water around 11:40 a.m. in the 100 block of North Riverside Plaza in the city’s West Loop neighborhood, police said. The CPD Marine Unit pulled the body from the water and she was pronounced dead at the scene. About 30 minutes later, another female body was found unresponsive in the water in the 2800 block of South Eleanor Street in Bridgeport, police said. She was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities identified the second woman as 80-year-old Yuet Tsang.

Officials did not report both Chicago River scenes as being connected, and “Detectives are conducting a death investigation, pending autopsy results, officials said,” the report concluded.
