Nolte: Janet Yellen Admits Government Choosing Bank Bailout Winners and Losers

Treasure Secretary Janet Yellen admitted to the U.S. Senate Thursday that the government is choosing winners and losers in the rigged bank bailout lottery. And wouldn’t you know it, the losers sure look like the smaller community banks the big banks (and Democrats) would love to see eliminated.

Oklahoma Republican Sen. James Lankford asked Yellen a very simple question:

Will the deposits in every community bank in Oklahoma, regardless of their size, be fully insured now? Are they fully covered, every bank, every community bank in Oklahoma, regardless of the size of the deposit? Will they get the same treatment that SVBP [Silicon Valley Bank] just got or Signature Bank just got?

Please look very closely at Yellen’s terrifying answer:

A bank only gets that treatment if a majority of the FDIC board, a super majority of the Fed board and I, in consultation with the president, determine that the failure to protect uninsured depositors, would create systemic risk and significant economic and financial consequences.

In other words, if the FDIC likes your bank, the depositors are insured. If not, the depositors are not insured over $250,000, which means what?

It means that people will withdraw their money from community banks and hand those deposits over to a handful of fascist giant banks that not only own almost all the banking but will refuse to do business with you if you hold certain political opinions they find offensive… Oh, and you can bet those political opinions they find offensive will always-always-always be conservative opinions.

Lankford understands what these corrupt crony capitalists are up to and follows up with this:

“So what is your plan to keep large depositors from moving their funds out of community banks into the big banks?” Lankford asked. “We have seen the mergers of banks over the past decade, and I’m concerned you’re about to accelerate that by encouraging anyone who has a large deposit in a community bank to say, ‘We’re not gonna make you whole, but if you go to one of our preferred banks, we will make you whole at that point.’

Now that Yellen had been exposed and busted, she chose to answer this important question by playing stupid…

“Look, I mean, that’s certainly not something that we’re encouraging,” she said.

Lankford responded with the obvious: “That is happening right now!”

Yellen’s idiot act continued:

That is happening because depositors are concerned about the bank failures that have happened and whether or not other banks could also fail…

Lankford again tried to get her to answer the only question that mattered…

No, it’s happening because you’re fully insured no matter what the amount is if you’re in a big bank. You’re not fully insured if you’re in a community bank.

I hope everyone understands what’s happening here…

By informing the public that their money is only safe in those big banks the Democrat party favors, everyone will deposit their money in the big banks and effectively bankrupt community banks or force them to give up the ghost to the big banks.

That’s just step one.

Step two is worse.

Once the big banks control all the money, they will also control everything else, including what kind of business you can run, what you can and cannot say on social media, and what opinions you can hold…

How would you like to live in a world where a gun store has no place to bank or run a credit card payment?

How would you like to live in a world where a mall owner cannot rent to a gun store?

How would you like to live in a world where your accounts are closed if you tweet a biological fact like, “Trans women are men?”

You might not want to live in that world, but that is the world the Democrat party seeks, so they are in the process of deliberately undermining faith in community banks.

It is always about control through centralized power.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), among other RINOs, lashed out at Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson for accurately describing the mostly peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, as “mostly peaceful.”

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Senate Republicans lashed out at conservative Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday after he characterized the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol as “mostly peaceful chaos.”

…

A handful of other Senate Republicans on Tuesday pushed back against Carlson’s claim that Jan. 6 was “peaceful chaos,” with Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina blasting the remarks as “bullshit.”

…

“I think it’s bullshit,” Tillis told reporters in the Capitol.

On that day, a lot of people incited violence and committed acts of vandalism, and my guess is that more than a few of them were agents of the fascist FBI engaging in the kinds of unconstitutional behavior (blatant entrapment) the disgraced Bureau is infamous for. Anyone guilty of violence on that day should be punished. I believe that, and so does Tucker Carlson. He said so Monday night. This is not a difficult line to draw.

But an overwhelming number of peaceful protesters remained peaceful and outnumbered the violent ones (who deserve jail time) by a wide mile. And so the science makes clear mostly peaceful is accurate.

And why wouldn’t these peaceful protesters have remained peaceful with the Capitol Police as their own personal tour guides?

Naturally, Mitt is in a snit. It’s “really sad to see Tucker Carlson go off the rails like that,” Romney whined. Senator Cuck added that Carlson is “joining a range of shock jocks that are disappointing America and feeding falsehoods.”

Other Republican senators are selling their souls to the same NBC that would happily press a red button to give them gut cancer, but not a single one of them—not one—has based their criticism of Carlson on the facts. Not a single one has said Carlson broadcast surveillance video from the U.S. Capitol that is doctored or not real.

These fascist senators (including Democrat Majority Leader Chuck Schumer) are not angry that Carlson got the facts wrong (because he didn’t). They are angry he’s reporting the truth, the full context, the information concealed from the public by the rigged January 6 Select Committee and their allies in the corporate media.

These fascist senators want the truth hidden and want those charged and convicted for what happened on January 6 to not enjoy the due process that can only come when all the evidence is available.

Before Carlson revealed it, did you know that “Q Shaman,” as he’s called, a man currently serving four years in prison, was escorted around the U.S. Capitol by the Capitol police?

I didn’t.

Don’t you think that information is relevant?

I do.

But these fascist senators and the corporate media want to hide and censor the truth.

Bottom line: When someone is complaining that you reported a story but are not complaining you got the facts wrong, you are doing it exactly right. Especially when it’s a McConnell or a Romney doing the complaining.

After Tucker is done with this video, every minute of that footage should be scrutinized by Capitol security to ensure no security issues are revealed, and then released online in full to the public and, most especially, the lawyers of those facing charges for January 6.

That’s the American way.

Those opposed to this are not American. They are today’s version of Joe McCarthy.

The moment your embrace of due process and civil rights becomes political, you are Joe McCarthy — a disgrace to the office and the country.

Breitbart went through this when we busted Lena Dunham for lying about being raped by a college Republican. We were blistered and attacked for reporting the story, but not for getting the story wrong. Well, it wasn’t wrong. The story was bulletproof, and Dunham ended up admitting it was a lie; the publisher removed the lie from future editions of her memoir, and an innocent man got his reputation back.

In the name of “equity,” the Biden administration and state Democrats have declared war on the suburbs:

The Biden administration and Democrats in New York, Connecticut and other states are fighting local zoning laws in order to build high-rise apartment buildings with “affordable” units in tree-lined, single-family neighborhoods. All in the name of equity, meaning everyone can live in a tranquil suburb, whether they’ve earned the money to pay for it or not.

The Biden administration announced Jan. 19 that it will require all towns across the U.S. to submit “Equity Plans” showing how they will make it possible for low-income people to live there by providing affordable housing, transportation and other resources.

Towns that don’t meet the cookie-cutter requirement for economic diversity will lose federal funding.

The left’s seething hatred of the suburbs is readily apparent in popular culture, where movies regularly portray these tranquil, tree-lined neighborhoods as hotbeds of racism, repression, sexual dysfunction, and hatred. Unless it’s in the hands of a genius like David Lynch, the result is usually tired and stereotyped. For every classic like Blue Velvet (1986) and (1999) and Ordinary People (1980), there’s a ton of garbage like Revolutionary Road (2008), Little Children (2006), Pleasantville (1998), and The Stepford Wives (2004).

Why does the left hate the suburbs? For starters, we tend to vote Republican. Worse still, we’re truly happy out here. The suburban way of life proves people live fuller lives if they are unbothered by central authority and control. We prove government causes way more problems than it solves, and nothing makes the left angrier than happy, contented people they cannot control.

I would add that nothing proves that everything the left believes in is a lie more than the suburbs do. It’s in the blue cities where all the violence, hate crimes, lousy schools, traffic jams, gun violence, and environmental issues like smog occur. It’s out in the mostly ungoverned suburbs where people of all races get along; where our water, air, and streets are safe and clean; where the schools are functional; where we all own guns, but there’s hardly any gun violence.

So what better way to destroy the suburbs than to turn the suburbs into just another lousy Democrat-run city?

Once Democrats strip the suburbs of what makes them special — zoning laws that protect property values and avoid density — that’s the end of the suburbs. Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) knows exactly what she’s doing with a new law that will force “each town and village in the New York metro area to increase its housing stock to meet a uniform, state-imposed target and rezone for high-density housing – apartment buildings – within a half-mile of every MTA train stop.”

What happens, then?

The plague of failed cities spreads into these idyllic areas, and Democrats move in, those whose voting patterns ensure even more destruction, especially in the schools.

“Say goodbye to quaint downtowns lined with two-story buildings and older houses.” Yep. That’s the master plan.

What’s more, Democrats have climbed into bed with the big developers who cannot wait to enrich themselves by tearing these towns apart.

Nothing destroys a community faster than renters, and I say that as someone who has been a renter. In my little neighborhood, the only stress point is a rental house. Everything else here is placid and serene. But every once in a while, idiots move into that house and make life hard on the people who live nearby. So I can’t imagine what a multi-unit apartment building would do to undermine our way of life, not to mention our property values.

Democrats are locusts.

They’ve already consumed and annihilated the cities.

Now they are moving to the suburbs.

That means you should not believe the headlines, like this one… “Ratings: Grammy Awards Audience Surges 30% to Hit a 3-Year High”!

Surges to a three-year high!

Surge!

High!

Yeah, no.

Lol.

How about a little context to make sense of just how awful 12.4 million viewers is…?

Back in 2020, the Grammys drew 18.7 million viewers, and that was considered a disaster. At the time, 18.7 million, which is 50 percent higher than this Sunday night’s viewership, was nearly an all-time low. Here’s what we wrote at the time:

As far as total viewers, the 18.7 million who tuned in on Sunday was just a touch above the Grammy all-time low of total viewers: 17 million back in 2006.

But when you consider the fact that, since 2006, the American population has increased from 299 million to 330 million, by a full 30 million people, that tells you just how big of a failure Sunday night was.

For some real context, and as a means to expose just how bad this number is, back in 2017, 26 million tuned in. In 2012, 40 million tuned it. Since 1977, Grammy Award viewership has landed in the teens only on nine occasions, two of those times in the last two years.

The only reason the entertainment media can spin this 12.4 million debacle into something other than a debacle is due to the 8.8 million who watched in 2021 and the 8.9 million who watched in 2022.

So, yeah, I guess 12.4 million is higher than 8.8 million, but two times zero is still zero, y’all.

This is an award show that consistently drew 20 to 30 million viewers between 1976 and 2019. Between 2010 and 2017, the Grammys consistently delivered in the mid-20 millions or better. In 2012, nearly 40 million tuned in.

So, the very idea that 12.4 million — which is the third worst in Grammy history, which is so bad, the fourth worst is 17 million — somehow constitutes a rebound, is a joke.

Nobody is watching these gawdawful award shows because everyone knows these shows are no fun whatsoever. They are anti-entertainment. No one wants to watch three hours of the rich and privileged talking about how great they are and how awful the rest of us are. The entertainment industry have alienated their audience, and in a world with all kinds of entertainment options, we are exercising those options.

And don’t you dare blame streaming competition. I know 2020 was a long, long time ago, but if memory serves there was Netflix in 2020 and the Grammys still managed to attract 18.7 million viewers.

What’s happening is very simple… Over the last five years, Hollywood has gotten uglier and uglier. The entertainment industry has nothing but contempt for its fans. The entertainment industry is embracing gross stuff like obesity and hairy guys in dresses as “beautiful.” And last night the entertainment industry gave us Chubby Satan.

This is an industry only interested in appealing to itself, and the ratings all across the board reflect that.

Don’t blame us, Hollywood. We’re just hating you back.

CNN, a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads conspiracy theories and political violence, has seen its ratings collapse to a nine-year-low:

CNN just notched its lowest ratings in nine years across all its day parts for the week of Jan. 16 through Jan. 22, 2023, according to Nielsen averaging just 444,000 viewers in primetime, 93,000 in the all-important age 25-54 news demographic and 417,000 in viewers and 80,000 in the demo for total day. It’s the first time since May 2014 that the network failed to reach 450,000 viewers.

By comparison, during the same period Fox News drew 1.4 million viewers and 176,000 in the demo while MSNBC notched 629,000 total viewers and 69,000 in the demo. In primetime, Fox News had 2 million viewers, 256,000 in the demo and MSNBC had 943,000 viewers and 91,000 in the demo.

Especially humiliating for CNN’s new chief, Chris Licht, is that his one big move, CNN This Morning, is suffering catastrophic ratings. The new morning show, which is anchored by left-wing terrorist enabler and credibly accused sexual assaulter Don Lemon, earned just 331,000 average viewers throughout the week.

How bad is that?

Well, the previous morning show, New Day, was already such a ratings disaster Licht chose that time slot to make his first big programming move. I guess Licht thought this would be an easy win for him. After all, how could the ratings get any worse than they already were at New Day?

Enter Don Lemon.

For some insane reason, Licht plucked Lemon out of his failed primetime spot and dropped him into mornings. Nobody likes Don Lemon. Who wants to wake up to a smug, left-wing serial liar? And so the impossible has happened… The CNN This Morning ratings are already lower than New Day’s ratings.

Failure Theater.

It’s so much fun to watch.

Licht’s latest genius move is to have CNN air Bill Maher’s “Overtime” segment on Friday evenings. That’s HBO’s Real Time segment with Bill Maher that airs exclusively online after the show’s conclusion.

What does Licht think that’s going to accomplish? Last week, only 799,000 people watched Real Time. Sure, 799,000 is better than CNNLOL’s numbers, but Bill Maher is just another leftist talking head. Sometimes he strays from the leftist plantation, but he is a man of the left, so this is just more of CNN being CNN, and since America hates and is soundly rejecting CNN, this is another terrible (and desperate) idea.

Licht, naturally is ignoring all of this. Instead, he’s making zero changes that matter and still talking about gaining America’s trust…

“I think we have to restore trust. It’s that simple,” the recently told the far-left Los Angeles Times. “You can talk to a lot of different people as to why that has eroded, but as opposed to looking back I will say one of our missions is to restore our reputation as the most trusted name in news. We certainly have research that shows that [trust] has eroded.”

How does he expect to restore trust when all the same people responsible for this…

Former President Donald Trump is embroiled in another Deep State frame-up job, this time over classified documents. Meanwhile, His Fraudulency Joe Biden is dealing with a legitimate classified document scandal.

Before we go any further, I find all this “classified document” handwringing silly. Speaking objectively outside the tit-for-tat of partisan politics, everyone knows America goes overboard with that big, red CLASSIFIED stamp. Hey, and who can blame us? Stamping something CLASSIFIED has to feel pretty cool. Reading something stamped CLASSIFIED must feel even cooler. So why not stamp, stamp, stamp your way to that warm and fuzzy feeling of self-importance?

Plus, by stamping everything CLASSIFIED, the Deep State can frame people for invented crimes, embarrass them politically, and meddle in elections. And we all know how much the FBI, NSA, CIA, and Homeland Security love to frame people to protect the Democrat party.

Here’s my view of what’s happening to Trump: From what we know, the classified documents in his possession were secured in a single place — within his residence at Mar-a-Lago, which is guarded by Secret Service. Additionally, and again from what we know, the National Archives had an inventory of these documents, knew what Trump had, and negotiated their return.

Finally, as president, Trump had the power to declassify anything for any reason at any time.

In summation, for a year-plus, Trump and the National Archives knew what Trump had, and what Trump had was secured in a single place located in a building that is itself secured by Secret Service.

This resulted in the fascist FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago and the hiring of a special counsel to investigate the Bad Orange Man.

The whole Trump document scandal is beyond stupid and an obvious attempt by fascist Attorney General Merrick Garland to stop Trump from beating Biden in the upcoming presidential election.

Granted, information might arrive that changes my mind, but as of right now, the Trump Classified Document Scandal is nothing more than a reheated version of the Russia Collusion Hoax.

Not so much with His Fraudulency…

First off, the Biden documents in question have so far been found in three, count them — three — separate and unsecure locations:

  • Joe Biden’s former office at his Washington D.C. think tank.
  • Believe it or not, the garage of his Delaware home, the same garage where he keeps the mid-life crisis he calls a Corvette.
  • The library of his Delaware home.

Side note: Are we supposed to believe someone as dumb as Joe Biden has both a think tank and a library? I’ll bet both the library and think tank have pinball machines and a soda fountain.

Anyway.

There is a no less secure place in a home than a garage.

And how do you like the thought of America’s secrets blowing around an abandoned office?

Good grief.

Regarding the power to declassify, there is no question that Trump had that power. However, the question surrounding the power of a vice president to declassify is much murkier.

But let’s look at the most important facts…

The National Archives knew what Trump had. Further, he had these documents secured in a single location, knew what he had, knew where they were, and that location had Secret Service protection.

On the flipside…

Biden’s documents were scattered. Biden was surprised to learn of these discoveries, which means he had no idea what he had. So you can bet the National Archives had no idea what he had. Looks like wherever Joe goes, he leaves behind America’s secrets. You get the sense Biden was throwing classified documents around like confetti. Whoo-hoo!

Worse still, while renting his father’s Delaware house for an apparent $49,000 a month (Biden’s taxes disagree – uh, oh), Hunter “Hard Partier” Biden had access to Biden’s garage and library, and therefore access to America’s secrets. And let’s not pretend Hunter wasn’t looking for every way possible to make money off his father’s name and status.

Plus, how many of Hunter’s pals partied at that Delaware house? How many crept around while Hunter was passed out naked in a hot tub with a hooker under one arm and El Chapo under the other?

Finally, there’s this…

Trump’s political adversaries in the FBI and Justice Department are reporting what was in his possession, so you can bet nothing is being downplayed.

Unfortunately, the people in charge of ferreting Biden’s classified confetti are his own people, his allies, his attorneys, and the fascist FBI and Justice Department. Would it surprise anyone to discover we’re not being told the half of it?

Common sense and a little knowledge easily debunk the left and the media’s latest “fashionable” hysteria, the so-called threat of gas stoves.

Democrats are coming for our children, our guns, our pickup trucks, and now our gas stoves. Using hoaxes about Climate Change, gun violence, racism, and health, the left’s goal is obvious: centralized, authoritarian control. By killing gas-powered appliances, we are all stuck using the centralized electrical grid. We’ve seen in Blue America where that madness is heading, including control over our thermostats.

But, you know, for our own good.

Here at Breitbart News, we do our best to debunk this nonsense, so allow me to use a little logic and history to debunk the electric stove hoax.

It seems to me — and keep in mind I’m just a regular guy with an average IQ — that at no time in recent history have we had less natural gas burning in our homes.

You can go back nearly 200 years with this.

Back in the early 19th century, right up until Edison invented the light bulb, countless homes were lit using natural gas by way of gas lamps. So, imagine how much gas was burning and for how long back then. It’s nighttime, and you light up the natural gas lights. Result: hours and hours and hours, every night, decade after decade, of gas burning in your home. A century of this, and no one said anything about asthma or cognitive impairment.

A few decades ago, I worked as an apartment manager in two separate buildings. I wasn’t very good at my job, but I do remember this: Each tiny apartment, maybe 400 square feet, had natural gas burning in them 24/7. You see, each stove had three pilot lights. One for each pair of stovetop burners and one for the oven (which was a bear to light). Year after year after year in that enclosed tiny space, natural gas burned. The pilot lights were about half the size of a dime, but still, it added up.

What’s more, in homes throughout the country, natural gas burned 24/7 in gas dryers, furnaces, water heaters, and stoves. These appliances all had pilot lights in them. So you could be talking about five or six pilot lights burning 24/7 in a home decade after decade…

That’s all gone now.

There are no pilot lights anymore.

Which means a whole lot less gas is burning in the average American home.

Unless you own an old appliance, your gas appliance has electronic ignition. This wonderful advancement eliminates the need for a pilot light. I would add that electronic ignition really is a lifesaver. It used to be that if your pilot light went out, you had a deadly gas leak in your house. That risk is now gone.

Anyone aware of the past knows how absurd this latest hysteria is. In a few short decades, we have gone from natural gas burning 24/7 in homes by way of pilot lights to natural gas only burning when the appliance is in use. Additionally, most natural gas appliances are vented in some way, so there are no fumes at all.

Compare natural gas burning 24/7 in your home to today — the few minutes you use the burners on your stove. That’s going to harm your child? If that were the case, kids would have been dropping like flies fifty years ago due to being literally surrounded by a half dozen inescapable pilot lights.

The left counts on us to do three things: 1) be ignorant of history, 2) accept “the science” without question, and 3) use the latest scare as a means to puff ourselves up as morally superior. In other words, be lemmings with each New Thing: fly your Ukraine flag high as you toss out your gas range while wearing a mask.

One more thing: There’s less gas burning in homes than ever before in history, and we’re becoming dumber and dumber.

Doesn’t that alone debunk this ridiculous hysteria?

The reckoning has arrived at far-left CNN with the formal announcement of “hundreds” of layoffs.

Chris Licht, CNN’s hapless new chief of lies (CNN is returning to journalism — oh, okay), released a memo Wednesday that warned “many” they might want to learn how to code:

To my CNN[LOL] colleagues:

Our people are the heart and soul of this organization. It is incredibly hard to say goodbye to any one member of the CNN[LOL] team, much less many.

MANY!

He continued…

“I recently described this process as a gut punch, because I know how this feels for all of us”:

Today we will notify a limited number of individuals, largely some of our paid contributors, as part of a recalibrated reporting strategy. Tomorrow, we will notify impacted employees, and tomorrow afternoon I will follow up with more details on these changes.

People say this is a terrible thing to do around Christmas. Normally, I would agree. But these people don’t believe in Christmas. They hate Christmas. They hate everyone who loves Christmas. If you and I were let go during Christmas, that would be one thing. That would be terrible. What would be cruel is laying CNN staffers off on May Day.

That would be a real gut punch.

So, unless this is more fake news from CNN, it looks like the paid contributors will get the ax today and the rest tomorrow.

What did these serial-lying idiots expect?

Licht isn’t interested in fixing the problem. He’s already proven that by giving basement-rated, election-denier Jake Tapper a primetime tryout. He also moved Don “Antifa-lover” Lemon to mornings.

These people, and the rest of the CNN staff, have no credibility. The brand is more than destroyed; it’s a national joke. The bottom has fallen out of the ratings, and nothing has changed under Licht.

Not once during Licht’s tenure has CNN broken a consequential news story that didn’t later turn out to be a lie.

Under Licht, CNN is still lying about conservatives and protecting Democrats.

Does Licht honestly believe that the CNN-Titanic will stop sinking after he throws a few of the passengers overboard?

As always, I want to get down to a human level and tell those about to be let go at CNN that I feel as bad about them losing their jobs as they do when a coal miner loses his.

Fair enough?
