PressTV Interview with Peter Koenig and Max Civili, PressTV Correspondent in Rome

Anger is simmering over Italy’s refusal to let in migrants plucked from the sea. A German rescue charity organization says it will take legal action against the Italian government for violating international law.

The organization says it will file petition in courts in two Italian cities of Rome and Catania. That after Italy barred around 200 migrants to get off a rescue ship in Catania. Prior to that, Italian authorities let in 144 vulnerable passengers on board a German-flagged vessel, while refusing to accept others. Those allowed to disembark were children and the sick. The ship was then ordered to leave the port of Catania. Italy is now facing criticism for its selective approach toward receiving migrants. Human rights groups have called on Rome to stop discrimination. They say the law of the sea requires that all rescued migrants should be disembarked in a safe place. Hello hi

Italy is being accused of Human Rights abuse by refusing the refugees of a migrant boat – German flagged – to disembark in Catania, Sicily.

In reality, the refugee question is much more complex than just one of human rights. Yes, HRs are always used to shut up critical analysts.  Because who would dare say anything against human rights? As presented with the refugee issue, human rights is a multifaceted issue.

The Meloni government has said from the beginning that Italy would accept refugees with health problems, women, especially pregnant women, and children.

Following government-ordered summary “vulnerability” assessments by two doctors selected by the authorities, 144 people from the rescue vessel “Humanity 1” and 357 people from the “Geo Barents” were allowed to disembark in Catania. They were mainly women, children, and men with physical health problems.

Not all of the refugees have health problems; and many of the refugees pay dearly to be rescued by so-called humanitarian NGOs, many of which are Europeans, to be ferried to southern European harbors.

This doesn’t mean, they are not suffering politically and / or economically. To the contrary. And they deserve a better future. But the EU refugee system is wantonly unequal.

Many of the NGOs behind these refugee boats are not even from the countries from where the refugees come. They are Europeans, some of them Germans.

The unelected EU Commission in Brussels – a band of shady politicians – is always dancing on various fiestas at the same time, they learned well from the US.

On the one hand, they want to debilitate / punish right wing EU governments, by directing refugees towards these countries, now Italy, but also Greece — and who knows maybe soon also Portugal and even Spain.

Because these countries do not follow the “neoliberal left”, meaning the Washington and WEF-imposed globalist agenda.

The “left” in the Global North has been hijacked by the globalists, and most of the left – and the rest of the people haven’t even noticed yet.

On the other hand – the refugee issue absorbs a lot of resources, money, infrastructure, care personnel… and it is debilitating countries. And that’s precisely what Brussels want. The refugee issues have always been used to divide countries, groups of countries, in this case the EU – and even continents.

As crazy as it may sound, the EU’s agenda is to destroy the EU – to follow the globalist dictate of Washington and the WEF.

A One World Order cannot tolerate a united block of 27 countries, whose combined GDP may be competing with the one of the hegemon, the US of A.

Then, there is the controversy of the European double standard.

Look at refugees from Ukraine. They have all the rights and get whatever they want in Europe and the Global North in general. Many – of course not all, by far – flee their war-torn country in luxury cars westwards – where they are received literally with open arms. They receive free housing, food, medical care. Many are way better off, then the poor of the recipient countries.

Ukraine has just been granted an 18-billion-euro grant for “budget support” — a subsidy for the country and her citizens. This is in addition to the almost 100 billion dollars in weaponry Ukraine received from the West to fight Russia.

Compare this with the nothing, zero, zilch – the poor and often destitute North African and Middle East countries, receive from where the refugee boats arrive at southern European ports.

If the size of “subsidies” Ukraine receives, was to flow to North Africa and the Middle East, maybe the refugee crisis could be resolved.

But the north doesn’t want to resolve it.  They want to continue exploiting it.

“Italy Is A Fully Sovereign Country” – Italy’s New Conservative Govt Refuses To Dock Migrants From German NGO Ships

Italy argues that German ships flying German flags should be responsible for the migrants…

Three NGO ships with more than 1,000 people on board are waiting to dock off the Italian coast, but Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi are firmly refusing German demands that the ships dock in Italian ports.

Rome’s foreign ministry confirmed on Thursday that it had previously sent a verbal note to Berlin asking it to accept the migrants on board the German-registered Humanity 1. The Italian ministry added that the German side had been asked for information on the people on board.

The diplomatic document, dated Oct. 23, was published on Wednesday by public television channel RAI3. In its response, the Berlin foreign ministry urged Rome to provide assistance as soon as possible to the people on board the NGO boat, including more than 100 minors.

“Rescuing people in mortal danger is the most important thing,” read a statement from German embassy urging Italy allow the boats to dock.

“If Germany believes that there is a humanitarian problem, it should take care of it, Italy cannot become the refuge of all immigrants,” said the Minister for Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani while speaking on the “Agorà” show on the Rai3 television channel.

According to Piantedosi, European countries that flag their vessels should welcome those arriving via the NGOs that use those boats. However, he said the only way to solve the migration flow was to stop departures altogether.

Ciriani backed Piantedosi’s hard line on migration, saying, “We cannot simply be the terminal of choice that take place elsewhere. We are a serious country, Italy is a fully sovereign country.”

Ciriani also repeated Piantedosi’s position, saying flying German flags should indicate Germany’s responsibility for migrants on those ships.

“If it intends to act in international waters, then it must also take responsibility for the choices made by the ships flying its flag,” said Ciriani who added, “We cannot accept that Germany decides for us.”

As Remix News previously reported, there are numerous German NGO ships operating in the Mediterranean that rescue migrants but also serve as a draw for many migrants who believe they will be rescued if something goes wrong. The groups have also been accused of cooperating with migrant smugglers and arranging to meet up with smugglers on the open sea to transfer migrants. Many of these ships are supported with funds from German Protestant churches. However, as the German press has reported in the past, the vast majority of these migrants are not refugees, but instead economic migrants.

Italy’s stance may cause another rift within the EU. When Matteo Salvini refused to dock migrants while previously serving as interior minister, migrant numbers dramatically dropped in Italy. However, once he lost power, he was targeted by prosecutors with “kidnapping” charges for defending Italy’s borders and faced harsh prison sentences for his actions.

Italy’s government says it won’t back down

With 179 people on board, Humanity 1 is waiting some 18 kilometers outside Italian territorial waters. Also waiting to dock with 572 people on board is the Geo Barents, a vessel operated by Doctors Without Borders, and the Ocean Viking, a French vessel of the SOS Mediterranée organization, registered in Norway, is carrying more than 200 people. The vessels took on board the people in international waters between Oct. 22 and Oct. 29.

Italy continues to refuse to allow the ships to dock. Ocean Viking had already asked Spain, France, and Greece to do the same on Thursday, according to Hungarian news outlet Magyar Nemzet.

In an interview with the Corriere della Sera, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said that with the new right-wing government, Italy would no longer accept people taken on board foreign ships at sea. He stressed that NGO boats regularly carry out their activities with minimal involvement of the authorities. He noted that 16 percent of people arriving on Italian shores are transported via NGO boats, while local authorities are required to assist the remaining 84 percent.

The interior minister had previously declared the docking of the Humanity 1 and the Ocean Viking unsafe by decree, citing national security reasons.

Hell no Kitty! Migrant grills a cat on the sidewalk – flea collar and all I suppose

Jim Crenshaw – November 1st, 2022

Welcome to Italy. A little open air BBQ. He says he is hungry. By all means bring more of these people in here for us to deal with. It is not about cooked kitty, it is about the 5th Generation warfare being conducted on American (and other) citizens. More info on that here:

I have not seen that here yet in the states, but if I did it would not surprise me. If that was my animal you were grilling it would be your last meal IF you even had a chance to dine.

Effects of Declining Fertility Already Being Felt

Effects of Declining Fertility Already Being Felt

Across the world, countries are already struggling to find sufficient workers to sustain the economy and retirees.

“According to the United Nations, the earth’s population will reach 8 billion around November 15. But, due to rapidly declining fertility, the world’s population may begin falling by 2050,” said Dr Jennifer Roback Morse, PhD, president of the Ruth Institute.

“Once the fall begins, the downward slide will be swift, with potentially devastating results.”

Worldwide fertility has plummeted from 4.7 births per woman in 1950 to 2.4 in 2017, a decline of roughly 50%. The current estimated US fertility rate is 1.78, well below replacement level of 2.1.

“As the century progresses, the effects of what we call Demographic Winter will become increasingly apparent,” Morse said.

“But the impact is already being felt. The US Census Bureau predicts that by 2034, for the first time ever, there will be more Americans over 65 than under 18.”

“That means more elderly in need of services, and fewer workers to pay for them. It will result in declining tax revenue and increasing expenditures for pensions and health care.”

“It will also become harder to find essential workers. A senior citizen can work as counter help at McDonald’s, but few can do long-haul trucking or operate heavy equipment. Many jobs require the strength, agility and mental acuity that most of the elderly lack,” Morse observed. “That’s why, even today — as the pool of young workers shrinks — we’re seeing ‘help wanted’ signs everywhere.”

But the US fertility rate of 1.78 is robust compared to most of Europe and Asia. Spain’s is 1.24. Italy’s is 1.3. After years of its one-child policy, China’s fertility rate is an anemic 1.16.

Where will these nations find the workers of the future — not just the police and medical personnel, but also farmers and factory workers?

Exclusive — Trump on Conservative Wins Worldwide: This ‘Great Movement’ Is ‘Happening All Over the World’

Exclusive — Trump on Conservative Wins Worldwide: This ‘Great Movement’ Is ‘Happening All Over the World’

Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that conservative victories in Brazil, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, and more are proof that the “great movement” he leads is spreading worldwide.

“The whole thing is a great movement that’s taken place and now it’s happening all over the world,” Trump said in a phone interview on Tuesday. “It’s a very simple movement: Give us borders, give us safe streets, we don’t want crime, give us good education, give us dignity and give us respect as a nation. It’s not complicated.”

Asked if he thinks these global wins against globalism are foreshadowing a looming American victory against globalism, like what happened in 2016, Trump said, “I think it is.”

“They saw what happened to me, they saw what happened to our country and now they’re comparing it to what’s happening with the Biden administration,” Trump said. “We had no inflation. We had the hottest economy ever in the history of the world prior to the virus coming in. Then I built it back up a second time. The stock market was higher than just before the virus coming in. They saw what we did and they saw the movement. It really became big. We started it—and it became very big. It’s happening here again. It’s happening now again because people see the results of the open borders and the stupidity taking place, the crime. All of the things that are happening in our country, other countries are watching.”

Trump’s endorsement of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro boosted the conservative leader in the final days before his first face-off with the leftwing former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, where Bolsonaro shocked the world by far outperforming polls and holding Lula under 50 percent, forcing a runoff later this month. Bolsonaro’s performance was more than double digits better than pollsters expected—very similar to Trump’s election performances here in the United States in 2016 and 2020 where the former U.S. president far outperformed polls and expectations—and Trump expects Bolsonaro has a strong chance at victory in the runoff.

“I think he’s in great shape to win on Oct. 30,” Trump told Breitbart News. “The people that got out largely were conservatives, the ones who lost, so the votes should go to Bolsonaro.”

But the shocking performance from Bolsonaro came in the wake of Trump’s endorsement, both in a Truth Social post and a video the former U.S. president released right before the election. Trump put the Truth Social post up on Saturday night—along with releasing a video he recorded on his way to a rally in Michigan for gubernatorial hopeful Tudor Dixon—just ahead of the election on Sunday in Brazil.

“To the people of Brazil: You have a great opportunity to reelect a fantastic leader, a fantastic man, one of the great presidents of any country in the world—President Bolsonaro,” Trump said in the video. “He’s done an absolutely incredible job with your economy, with your country. He’s respected by everybody all throughout the world. So I strongly endorse President Bolsonaro. He will hopefully be your leader for a long time—he has taken your country to great heights. And, again, your country is now respected—because of him—all over the world.”

Bolsonaro’s son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, told the U.K. Daily Mail that when his father posted Trump’s video on his Instagram account it went viral. “The video was incredible,” Eduardo Bolsonaro said. “It was by far number one when you talk about foreign support for President Bolsonaro.”

Eduardo Bolsonaro also said that the notion that Trump’s influence was declining is not true. “You have a big expectation of Brazilians here that he will be again the president of the United States,” Eduardo Bolsonaro told the Daily Mail. “So his status is not the status of a regular politician.”

Trump, in his interview with Breitbart News on Tuesday, noted correctly that his domestic endorsement record “was close to 99 percent in the primaries and we’ll do great in the general elections too.”

But Trump has also been getting active in international endorsements, first helping deliver a victory earlier this year to Hungary’s Viktor Orbán and now helping Bolsonaro in Brazil.

“In other places, it was very funny—when I did it in Hungary, he came to see me actually recently to thank me,” Trump told Breitbart News. “It made a tremendous difference. He’s a very good man. It made a tremendous difference. And it obviously made a tremendous difference in Brazil and he’s obviously a great leader who isn’t being treated fairly. It made a tremendous difference.”

Asked about why he thinks foreign leaders want his endorsement, Trump said his brand has been around and trusted much longer than his time in politics—and people worldwide are familiar with his name and image.

“People see me and have known me a long time,” Trump said. “They’ve known me long before politics. Certainly, it’s been a big thing. Others are calling from other countries.”

Orban’s victory and Bolsonaro’s much-better-than-expected performance are hardly the only wins for conservatives worldwide this year: In Europe, both in the north and south, conservatives took control of two major countries. Conservatives just weeks ago took control of the government in Sweden and this past week won in Italy as well, with the election of the nation’s new prime minister Giorgia Meloni.

When asked if he thinks these victories from around the world are similar to international victories for the right in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, Trump said: “I think so.”

That year, the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union—the Brexit referendum was seen as a major defeat for globalists—and conservatives were elected in several other nations worldwide, like Jimmy Morales in Guatemala and others too.

Trump said he senses a similar phenomenon brewing right now—with the added benefit of being able to use the Trump administration as an example for how they should structure their governments.

“A lot of people are using the United States as an example because they saw how well we did for four years,” Trump told Breitbart News. “We had numbers that were incredible. Even though we got hit at the end by the virus but if you look at it we did unbelievably even at the end. The stock market was higher than it was—and prior to the virus coming in we had numbers the likes of which no country had ever seen before. They saw how well we did, and if you look, a lot of countries are going this way. Sweden also, by the way.”

Americans who see the world like he does, Trump added, “should be excited” as they are watching this play out around the world.

“It’s a great thing and it’s a great tribute to common sense—not only conservatism but just common sense,” Trump said. “A lot of what we do and what we preach and what we believe in is common sense.”

Trump, however, warned conservative leaders around the world to stay strong or risk losing their hard-won positions. He pointed in particular to former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson who was forced out of office by his own party—saying he warned Johnson to avoid the environmentalist left.

“Boris, who’s a friend of mine, I said, ‘You’re making a mistake with the windmills and you’re making a mistake with the liberal stuff, it’s going to hurt you,’” Trump said. “What happened is the Conservatives went against him because he really was no longer conservative and they got him out on the grounds of the party. If he had that same party and he stayed conservative, he never would have been out. He hurt himself. He became very much a greenie.”

The Italian Center Right Party won big in national elections on Sunday making Georgia Meloni the first female leader in the country’s history.

On Wednesday, in one of her first announcements since winning her election Georgia Meloni pledged her full support for Kyiv after receiving congratulations from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for her election victory.

On Saturday Russian energy giant Gazprom suspended gas deliveries to Italy. The company blamed a transport problem in Austria.

New Italian PM Georgia Meloni vows to destroy the New World Order

New Italian PM Georgia Meloni vows to destroy the New World Order

Anthony Albanese will not be flying over to Italy to congratulate its new prime minister –

New Italian prime minister promises to defend Italy against Schwab’s WEF in rousing victory speech

The new Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni vowed on Sunday in a rousing victory speech to destroy the New World Order, which has terrified the globalists of the EU, the WEF and NATO.

Meloni says Yes to the natural family, no to LGBT lobbies! Naturally she has to have a tag hung on her by the socialist media and now she is ‘far right’

Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party won general elections on Sept. 25 and heads a conservative coalition alliance that is likely to form the most conservative government since World War II, reports Baxter Dmitry .

The hard message matches Meloni’s campaign suggestions. “Yes to the natural family, no to LGBT lobbies!” said Meloni, 45, in July. “Yes to sexual identity, no to gender ideology!”

In 2019 her slogan became “I am Giorgia. I am a woman, I am a mother, I am Italian, I am Christian” mocked by critics but turned into a popular electronic music remix, shouted by the crowd at parties and in nightlife. But today that ultra-nationalist message is echoing in the polls. Meloni took her party from 4 percent in 2018 to over 25 percent today.

And after winning, she terrified globalists in the EU and the US in her victory speech:

“Our worldview is the exact opposite of what they want to impose on us…

Our greatest enemy today is the globalist drive of those who see identity and all its forms as an evil to be overcome. And constantly asking for real power to be shifted away from the people to supernational entities led by supposedly enlightened elites.

Let us be clear, because we have not fought and defeated communism to replace it with a new international regime, but to re-enable independent nation states to defend the freedom, identity and sovereignty of their peoples…………..”

Italy Election: Polling Finds Wealthiest Voted Left, Working and Middle Voted Right

Italy Election: Polling Finds Wealthiest Voted Left, Working and Middle Voted Right

Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy were the most popular party among workers and the middle class in last weekend’s election, while the wealthiest Italians, along with university graduates, were more likely to vote for left parties.

The Brothers of Italy (FdI) came first in last weekend’s elections with 26 per cent of the vote, winning nearly six million more votes than in the previous election in 2018, and according to a breakdown of voting by the firm Ipsos, the party managed to secure just over 30 per cent of the votes of lower-middle-class people amid strong numbers across all income ranges.

Among upper-middle-class people and university graduates, the left-wing Democrats were the most popular party, followed by Meloni’s FdI, the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera reports.

Nando Pagnoncelli, the head of Ipsos, commented on the breakdown of the voting saying, “These elections, even more than the previous ones, have shown how the traditional reference groups of each party have disappeared” and noted that among workers the Democratic Party,  the traditional left-wing party in Italy, had come in fourth place behind the FdI, the Five Star Movement and Matteo Salvini’s League.

While Meloni is likely to become Italy’s first-ever female Prime Minister, the number of female voters who voted for her party was slightly lower than the number of male supporters according to the analysis.

The data comes just days after it was revealed that the FdI and the centre-right coalition had broken through the so-called “red wall” of traditionally left-wing areas in regions like Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, beating Democratic candidates in areas that have been the heartland of the left in Italy for decades.

The centre-right coalition won a total of 29 single-member constituencies in the former “red wall” areas and three of the five single-member constituencies for the Italian Senate.
