House Democrats Begin Drafting Amnesty Plan to Send to Joe Biden

House Democrats have started drafting a plan to provide an amnesty for all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States, a proposal on which Democrat Joe Biden has repeatedly said he will sign off.

A report by Politico notes that House Democrats, led by Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA), are working on an amnesty plan they hope to file immediately after Biden takes office:

Still, Democrats say they’re determined to put forth a comprehensive immigration reform bill that Biden can sign off on. Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.) is drafting a bill that Democrats hope to drop right as Biden enters the White House. [Emphasis added]

The Politico report details how the open borders lobby is currently urging Biden to follow through on not only an amnesty for all illegal aliens, but also a halt to all deportations for at least 100 days and an end to President Trump’s constitutional travel ban that has stopped immigration from terrorist-sanctioned countries.

Politico reports:

Tapping Mayorkas, former deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security under Obama, is a “conversation starter,” Franco said. But she and other immigrant advocates say staffing is just one piece of it. They want the former vice president to impose a 100-day moratorium on deportations, rescind many of Trump’s more than 400 executive orders on immigration (like the so-called Muslim ban) and lay the groundwork for tougher goals like a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants — all promises he made on the campaign trail. [Emphasis added]

Privately, multiple Hispanic Caucus members said a large number of Democrats would be “severely disappointed” if Biden didn’t push immigration reform early. “That’s not going to sit well with a lot of folks,” said one lawmaker in the caucus. [Emphasis added]

On Wednesday evening, Biden said he plans to send an amnesty for “over 11 million” illegal aliens to the United States Senate in his first 100 days.

“I made a commitment, in the first 100 days, I will send an immigration bill to the United States Senate with a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people in America,” Biden told NBC Nightly News.

Such an amnesty would come as about 24.5 million Americans are either jobless or underemployed. An amnesty would immediately flood the U.S. labor market with a newly legalized population of millions who would begin competing for work against America’s working and middle class.

Every year, already, about 1.2 million legal immigrants are rewarded green cards and another 1.4 million foreign nationals are given visas to arrive in the U.S. These legal immigration admissions are in addition to the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who annually cross U.S. borders and overstay their visas.

Exit polling after the election reveals that voters across party and racial lines overwhelmingly want less overall immigration to the U.S. More than 3-in-4 voters, for instance, said it is important to reduce immigration with continued high unemployment, and more than 62 percent said, even after unemployment has leveled off, immigration should remain lower than its current levels.

Pelosi: Smaller Majority Won’t Force Me to Compromise More

During a press conference on Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stated that having a smaller majority in the House will not force her to compromise more and “won’t have that much effect at all” on how she legislates.

Pelosi was asked, “How does the smaller majority, how does that affect your legislative approach? Are you going to have to compromise more? Are there bills that you’re –?”

Pelosi cut in to state, “No.”

After the reporter finished their question to ask if there were bills the Democrats wouldn’t be able to put on the floor, Pelosi answered, “No, not at all. We have a president of the United States. Remember, we’ve got to have the opportunity to have bills signed into law. I’m very proud of our caucus because we’re beautifully diverse. As I always say, it is a — our diversity is our strength, our unity is our power. And our unity springs from our commitment to America’s working families. And that is what we’ll be talking about, as I mentioned, putting together a jobs bill that involves building the infrastructure of America in a green – resilient and green way, doing so in a bipartisan way, doing so so that everybody in our country benefits, both with jobs, with workforce development, and with services, schools, etc., housing in their areas. So, it won’t have that much effect at all, no.”

Pelosi on if She’s Responsible for Dem House Losses: ‘I Take Credit for Winning a Majority’

During a press conference on Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) responded to a question on whether she accepts responsibility for Democrats losing House seats by saying she accepts the credit for Democrats holding the majority in the House of Representatives.

CNN Senior Congressional Correspondent Manu Raju asked Pelosi, [relevant exchange begins around 26:00] “Do you accept any responsibility for the loss of House seats?”

Pelosi responded, “I take credit for winning a majority and holding the House.”

Republicans Pick Up Tenth House Seat With New York Victory

House Republicans added one more to their ranks this week after New York Democratic Rep. Max Rose conceded defeat Thursday in the Staten Island-area district.

“I received a gracious phone call from Rep. Max Rose today conceding the election,” wrote State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis on Twitter. “I want to thank him for his service to our nation in both the military and in Congress. We agreed to work together on a seamless transition to best serve our constituents.”

Rose, a freshman Democrat in the lower chamber had flipped the seat two years ago in what is widely considered one of the most conservative districts in New York City. Rose was one of 41 Democratic lawmakers to oust Republicans in 2018 to reclaim the House majority halfway into President Donald Trump’s first term putting California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi back in the speaker’s chair.

The Republican victory in New York marks the GOP’s tenth pick-up for a net gain of six seats in the House, a majority of whom are women.

As of this writing with several races still being decided, Democrats are on track to retain a narrow House majority. According to the New York Times, Democrats are so far projected to hold 218 seats to Republicans’ 202, with 15 states remaining to be called.

Last week’s losses however, have stunned Democrats where leadership expected to pick up as many as 15 to 20 seats expanding their ranks. On Monday, Illinois Democrat Rep. Cheri Bustos stepped down from her role as House Democrats’ campaign chief leading the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). According to Politico, Bustos explained in a letter to colleagues she was “gutted at the losses we sustained,” and pledged “a transparent after-action-review to better understand why the national polling and modeling environment failed to materialize.”

In a leaked call with Bustos, Pelosi, and the House Democratic caucus, moderate members cast blame on the party’s decision to embrace socialism and extreme calls to “Defund Police,” for costing them seats.

“No one should say ‘defund the police’ ever again,” said Virginia Rep. Abigail Spanberger, who narrowly pulled out a second term with a two-point win in the Richmond suburbs. “Nobody should be talking about socialism.”

White Male Democrat Concedes To GOP Female Immigrant In California House Race

Michelle Steel, a GOP woman, won her place in the House of Representatives for California’s 48th District on Tuesday after her Democratic opponent, Rep. Harley Rouda, conceded.

While the race was close with 95 percent of precincts reporting, Steel was steadily pulling ahead with 50.9 percent of the vote, while reports showed Rouda at 49.1 percent.

Steel’s victory in the district flipped the seat, which Cook Political Report projected as “lean Democrat,” turning the congressional area encompassing part of Orange County back to red.

Rouda, the district’s current representative, first came into leadership in 2018, replacing Republican Dana Rohrabacher, who was “the longest-serving House incumbent to lose re-election in 2018.”

In 2019, the recently-resigned DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos labeled Rouda a “frontline program member,” signaling that Rouda’s seat was necessary for the Democrats to keep control of the House.

“Our Majority hinges on these Members from tough seats winning reelection in 2020, and with today’s announcement we’re sending a clear message that the DCCC will stand shoulder to shoulder with them in the fight ahead,” she said in a statement.

Steel, the Republican chairwoman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, adds to the historic number of Republican women who won seats in the House of Representatives this year.

While multiple media organizations including Fox News projected that Democrats would gain seats in the House, still running off of their blue-wave energy from 2018, the Republican Party surprised them by flipping multiple critical seats and narrowing the Democrats’ majority.

This ground gained by Republicans, especially GOP women such as Steel, has prompted a reality check among some House Democrats, who expressed worry and panic on a caucus call on Thursday that their socialist, anti-police rhetoric cost them key races.

“[If] we are going to run on Medicare for All, defund the police, socialized medicine, we’re not going to win,” House Majority Whip James Clyburn, a Democrat from South Carolina, said on the leaked phone call.

“No one should say ‘defund the police’ ever again,” Rep. Abigail Spanberger of Virginia said. “Nobody should be talking about socialism.”

AOC: Lincoln Project Should Take the ‘L’ and Donate Their Fundraising to Black Organizers

Despite Lincoln Project Never Trumpers’ efforts to join together with Democrats against President Donald Trump, the friendship may be on shaky footing.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Friday called on the anti-Trump Lincoln Project to “take the L” and hand over their millions in fundraising to black organizers.

“It’s not too late for them to do the right thing. Lincoln Project should take the L and publicly pledge to give a lot of their fundraising to the people who actually made a big difference,” she tweeted in the first of a string of tweets criticizing them.

Her tweets came after someone tweeted that the organization got $67,000,000 “to do literally nothing and the Black organizers that helped Biden win probably are short on rent this month.”

Ocasio-Cortez has also attacked centrist Democrats in recent days, amid blame in the Democrat Party because a “blue wave” did not materialize and Democrats actually lost seats in the House, putting their majority at risk in 2022.

Many establishment media pundits speculated that the average American did not support the progressive agenda that has been pushed during a summer of racial strife.

Earlier on Friday, Ocasio-Cortez defended House members who had backed Medicare for All who won reelection, arguing: “There’s a myth that progressive leg doesn’t win swing seats. But that’s what it is: a myth. And it’s time we called it that.”

Nearly Three-Quarters Of Americans Are Sick Of Modern Architecture

A new study finds 72 percent of Americans prefer traditional architecture for U.S. courthouses and federal office buildings, including majorities across political, racial, sex, and socioeconomic categories. The survey was conducted by The Harris Poll on behalf of National Civic Art Society and polled more than 2,000 U.S. adults.

These findings come in light of the possibility of a Trump administration executive order, appropriately named Make Federal Buildings Beautiful Again, that would require that new office buildings in Washington, D.C. be classical in design. Among other things, the order would revise the 1962 “Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture,” which forced modernism to be the official government building style. In response to the leak of the potential order, a bill entitled the “Democracy in Design Act” was proposed by House Democrats to overturn it.

However, based on the study, it appears Trump’s potential executive order would be happily received by a majority of Americans, with traditional architecture the clear winner for all demographic groups, including sex, age, geographic region, household income, education, race/ethnicity, and political party affiliations.

The study showed participants seven pairs of images depicting U.S. courthouses and federal office buildings. Each pair presented one building in a traditional style and one building in a modern style. For each pair, the survey question was: “Which of these two buildings would you prefer for a U.S. courthouse or federal office building?”

The selected images were edited to ensure fair comparisons. Factors such as sky color, angle of photo, light conditions, distance from building, weather conditions, and the like were all controlled either perfectly (e.g., sky color) or as perfect as possible via “careful photo selection and editing.”

Below is an example of one of the survey’s image pairings:

The resounding preference for traditional design was soundly bipartisan, being favored by 73 percent of Republicans, 70 percent of Democrats, and 73 percent of independents.

Preference for traditional architecture is shared across generations, being the top choice of 77 percent of those aged 65 or older, and 68 percent of those aged 18-34.

Both men and women prefer traditional architecture, but women are more likely than men to want U.S. courthouses and federal office buildings to be traditional, at 77 percent versus 67 percent, respectively.

Preference for traditional architecture bridges racial and ethnic divides, with the majority of black (62%), Hispanic (65%), and white (75%) Americans all favoring traditional architecture.

Preference for traditional architecture transcends regional divides too, with 73 percent favoring it in the Northeast, 73 percent in the South, 74 percent in the Midwest, and 69 percet in the West.

It is the clear choice of Americans making a household income under $50,000 (73 percent) and those making a household income over $100,000 (70 percent).

Higher earning and education levels do not diminish a preference for traditional architecture, as both those with a high school degree or less (72 percent) and those with a bachelor’s degree or greater (72 percent) favor traditional architecture also.

The findings of this study are supported by other surveys. In 2007, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) polled 2,200 Americans to find Americans’ 150 favorite buildings. Called “Americans’ Favorite Architecture,” the survey also found that Americans strongly preferred buildings designed in a traditional style.

At the time, the Wall Street Journal wrote that “Americans preferred older buildings that evoke ancient architectural styles such as Gothic, Greek, and Roman traditions. Of the top 50 [buildings], only 12 can be described as ‘modern-looking.’”

In 2020, an academic study of courthouse architecture found that people prefer neoclassical designs for courthouses. The study’s author, Jack L. Nasar, a professor of city planning at Ohio State University, wrote, “The findings agree with consistent findings that architects misjudge public likely public impressions of a design, and that most non-architects dislike ‘modern’ design and have done so for almost a century. Perhaps, through repeated experience, U.S. citizens have learned to see neoclassical designs or designs with those features as good examples of public buildings such as courthouses.”

Back in February, AIA, whose own study showed that Americans prefer traditional buildings, and other organizations spoke out against Trump’s executive order draft. Architects sent more than 11,400 letters to the White House demanding they be allowed to design buildings their commissioning audience finds offensive, ugly, and depressing.

“Mandating any single design style will undermine the value of the very architectural style it seeks to promote,” AIA 2020 president Jane Frederick said in a statement. “Buildings—both functionally and aesthetically—must be designed to serve their populations. It’s critical that communities have the ability to decide for themselves what architectural design best fits their needs.”

However, Americans have not been able to “decide for themselves” the types of buildings they prefer. The General Services Administration’s “Guiding Principles of Federal Design” officially rejected classic architecture, which the American people strongly favor.

Today, government architecture is now known for its international and brutalist stylings. Up until the 1990s, there were few to no buildings constructed in a traditional style. Since 1994, six of the 78 federal buildings constructed have been classical or traditional, just 8 percent, with the remaining 92 percent Modernist or postmodernist.

Nancy Pelosi Turns House Over to Radical Islamic Extremist

Nancy Pelosi

When it comes to Nancy Pelosi, there are a lot of things about her professional life that she would rather that you didn’t know about.

Here’s the rub: if you knew just how many things this woman has gotten away with, you would quickly realize just how much of a traitor to our country this individual truly is.

Indeed, it should definitely make you lose sleep at night just knowing the fact that this woman is third in line for becoming POTUS.

What we Found

We had to do a little bit of digging for this, but one example of this would have to be when Pelosi gave Muslim Imam Omar Suleiman the duty of reciting opening prayers back in May of 2019.

While there isn’t anything wrong with having some diversity, you should realize that this man is anything but moderate.

Just the fact that the radical anti-semitic leftist Linda Sarsour was applauding Nancy’s decision to invite this man should give you a good clue. However, unfortunately, there is more to the story.

Even though Sarsour tweeted out that Omar Suleiman’s prayer was “beautiful and moving”, the man himself has views that are far from it.

Suleiman is a blatant, violent anti-semitic individual, who has made plenty of waves because he regularly compares the nation of Israel to the Nazi Party from World War II.

Additionally, Suleiman came under fire because he believes that Israelites are terrorists. Finally, Suleiman is also known for his ardent support of the Muslim Brotherhood, which he believes is very important for Palestinians.

Not so Peaceful

Incidentally, he also believes that Palestinians should commit intifada and attack Jews as much as possible. Simply put, this man is no friend to our American ideals, and we should be appalled that Nancy Pelosi felt it was appropriate to invite this man to offer the opening prayer in the House!

Representative Lee Zeldin (R-NY) tweeted that he felt it was “Completely unacceptable that @SpeakerPelosi allowed Omar Suleiman to give our opening prayer in the House yesterday.

This is a man who compares Israel to the German Nazi Party and believes they are terrorists. He is a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood and does everything he can to incite violence, including calling for a Palestinian atifada and believes that zionism should come to an end. Bad call.”

The Facebook post he made garnered a lot of attention, to say the least. It had over 1,900 comments, 4,200 shares, 17,000 individuals “liked” it, and this post was even republished on a Malaysian website.

Imam Suleiman was calling for this “3rd Intifada” in the midst of a war between the Hamas regime of Gaza and Israel. Of course, this current conflict came on the heels of the cold-blooded murder of three Israeli teenagers by members of Hamas in June 2018.

At around this same time, Hamas was also “firing rockets” into Israel’s boundaries. The fact that Imam Suleiman has been advocating all of these terrible things shows any lover of freedom that there is nothing “beautiful and moving” about anything involving this man’s life. He is the terrorist, and Nancy Pelosi should be REMOVED from her post for allowing him to give the prayer. Where is the outcry?
