They Are Intolerant, Divisive, And Anti-Liberty — Call Them Leftists, Not Liberals

Democrats have moved so far to the left in recent years that they should no longer be called “liberals,” unless the true liberals among them start to stand up to the leftists who have taken over. The term is misleading, giving the impression that Democrats support individual freedoms and accept people of different viewpoints, when increasingly they do not. The word “liberal” gives yet more power to those who seek to take more of our liberties.

Right-leaning publications often use the term “liberal” when “leftist” would be better. On the other hand, left-leaning newspapers such as The Washington Post and The New York Times like to use the word “liberal” to describe their own illiberal political views. It obfuscates how Democrats and their media allies have become more extreme, supporting censorship, authoritarianism, and racial division: Twitter staff who denied conservatives their right to free speech and eagerly complied with censorship demands from the federal government were described by the Post as milquetoast “liberal employees.” MSNBC says those pushing the tyranny of wokeness are just naughty-sounding “liberal rascals.”

To see how so-called liberals view themselves, we can look at The New York Times review earlier this year of Michael Walzer’s book “What Does It Mean to Be Liberal?” The book concludes the word is “an adjective, describing a state of mind common to people who think of themselves as liberals: ‘open-minded, generous and tolerant,’” according to the review.

It’s almost laughable. Does “tolerant” describe people who try to “cancel” those of different views, shouting them down, encircling their homes, and calling them disparaging names? Is it “open-minded” to try to force people to use so-called preferred pronouns as part of a transgender agenda? Or to block or hide conservatives’ social media accounts? Crisis pregnancy centers have been firebombed. A Christian cake artist in Colorado is still defending his right not to make a cake that celebrates transgenderism. Conservative scholars have even been physically attacked on college campuses. Last week, students at Stanford University disrupted a conservative judge’s speech with heckling.

It’s correct that the dictionary defines “liberal” as “open-minded” and “broad-minded.” But that’s hardly the right word for people who do not tolerate conservatives’ views on Covid-19 policies, abortion, climate change, transgenderism, and much else — this despite the fact there’s a growing consensus that state-mandated lockdowns don’t work, and that plying children with cross-sex hormones and cutting off their body parts is bad for their physical and mental health.

Walzer notes that so-called liberals don’t always manage to achieve their aspirations to be open-minded and tolerant. The Times’ article acknowledges, “That’s the idea, anyway, but we live in a world in which the illiberal right — and increasingly the left — no longer accept difference as legitimate.” But the conflation here is a lie; the right isn’t pushing for censorship or shouting down campus speakers. And it’s not just a few extremists within the ranks but the leadership of the Democrats who are condoning intimidation tactics and destruction of property — Vice President Kamala Harris and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer among them.

Democrats Headed Further Leftward

As the Times notes, the left is “increasingly” intolerant. Part of why “liberal” no longer works to describe Democrats is the party has moved leftward, as many have noted, including The Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan, comedian and commentator Bill Maher, and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders in her State of the Union response.

Since at least 2020, Noonan wrote, Democrats “have aligned with or allowed themselves to be associated with … the identity politics-wokeness regime. (It’s amazing we still don’t have an agreed upon word or phrase that fully captures this program.)” That regime consists of transgenderism, climate alarmism, and so-called anti-racism. “The Democrats are the party of the left. Progressive pathologies morph into Democratic ideologies, tagging the party as radical. Why do the Democrats allow this to continue? Why don’t they push back, hard — as a party?”

Maher makes a similar observation: “There is that faction of the left, that we will call woke, who’s gone off the deep end,” as he described it. As Maher told CNN’s Jake Tapper last week, the woke “want to shut down debate,” and that’s how they differ from his idea of a liberal. The woke “love diversity except of ideas.” Asked to define wokeism, Maher said, “I think it’s this collection of ideas that are not building on liberalism, but very often undoing it.”

Maher, Noonan, and Sanders all use the word “woke” to describe leftists, but it’s too vague a term. Noonan notes that term doesn’t quite nail it, and Maher says it’s “broad.” Meanwhile, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary says “woke” is still considered slang and has two definitions, one that a leftist would consider positive and another negative. The first is “aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)” and the second, “disapproving: politically liberal (as in matters of racial and social justice) especially in a way that is considered unreasonable or extreme.”

Dems Are Not the Dictionary Definition of ‘Liberal’

The term “liberal” has some additional definitions that also don’t fit Democrats. Liberalism “emphasizes individual autonomy, equality of opportunity, and the protection of individual rights (primarily to life, liberty, and property),” the Encyclopedia Britannica explains. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines liberals as “standing for the protection of political and civil liberties” and “not bound by authoritarianism.”

Should those Americans who have supported censorship, lockdowns, masking, and vaccine mandates be described as protecting individual autonomy and rights?

On a simple level, “liberal” sounds like the related word “liberty.” It shouldn’t be used to describe those who are against basic rights. Of course, “liberal” already has a negative connotation to many, but it still has many positive associations.

On a philosophical level, the word “liberal” is a bad fit for Democrats because the evolution of its meaning creates confusion. When the term was first used in politics in the 18th century, it referred to what we now call “classical liberals,” who regard the state as the primary threat to individual freedom. (Former House Speaker Paul Ryan, a Republican, recently characterized himself as a “classical liberal.”) “Liberal” is also confusing because it has little in common with laissez-faire “economic liberals,” who want limited regulation of the economy. That’s why some people specify that they’re “social liberals,” not economic liberals.

‘Leftist’ Is a Better Term

In contrast, a “leftist” is “usually characterized by desire to reform or overthrow the established order,” according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. This is an apt description of the divisive “critical race theory” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” that teaches a misreading of our nation’s founding and society and is infiltrating schools, universities, and the workplace.

This definition also describes those who are breaking down our society with a transgender ideology that erases the boundaries of male versus female, requiring females to compete with biological men who identify as women and to share bathrooms and locker rooms with them.

“Leftist” sounds like the climate alarmism being used to radically restructure our society, and the push to take away parental rights in schools.

Another definition of leftists, from the Cambridge Dictionary, says they believe “wealth and power should be shared between all parts of society” and “governments should provide a higher level of social services and support laws to bring about greater economic and social equality.”

Democrats under President Biden have massively increased government spending, contributing to record national debt. They have tried, but failed, to create universal preschool and expand government housing. They are pushing for student loan forgiveness.

Hard to Capture in One Word

“Leftist” is a better descriptive than “liberal,” but it should be noted that political beliefs don’t really exist on a neat spectrum of “left” and “right” and are difficult to capture in one word.

In addition to “woke,” “the left,” and “radical,” Noonan used the word “progressive.” It’s not as good a word as “leftist” because it implies progress is being made. In fact, Democrat politicians have increasingly been using the word “progressive” to describe themselves.

The donkey in the room here is that we call Democrats by that name, giving leftists a word associated with democracy, a word most Americans see in a positive light. But dropping “Democrat” as a term is not as easy as with “liberal,” given its use by the Democrat Party.

Freedom-loving Americans should not give leftists the power of the word “liberal.” Even the term “leftist” is generous to describe people who want to silence those with whom they disagree.

Tucker Carlson Slams McConnell And Schumer For Trying To Kill His J6 Broadcasts

“They’re all on the same side!”

Summit News

As questions swirl over whether Tucker Carlson’s ongoing investigation into the January 6th footage is being shut down by higher ups, Carlson himself tore into Democrat and Republican leaders who both called for the host to be censored.

“What you’re seeing is hysteria. The overstatements, the crazed hyperbole, the red-in-the face anger. It’s not outrage, it’s fear,” Carlson told viewers.

“We’re getting close to what they really care about,” He continued, further noting “Here you have people with shared interests. The open borders people. The people like Mitch McConnell who are living in splendor on Chinese money.”

Carlson also mocked Chuck Schumer for melting down on the Senate floor and calling Carlson a “threat to Democracy.”

“They’re all on the same side!” Carlson declared.

Carlson scored monster ratings on Tuesday night as he aired footage that revealed evidence that had been withheld by the J6 Committee and tells a different narrative of the events to the one presented to the American people.

President Trump responded to Carlson’s reporting, calling for those who withheld the evidence to be tried for Treason:

Carlson also presented a montage of corporate media mouthpieces panicking and calling for him to be censored:

Exclusive — Watch: Speaker McCarthy Vows Full Public Release of Capitol’s January 6 Surveillance Tapes

Exclusive — Watch: Speaker McCarthy Vows Full Public Release of Capitol’s January 6 Surveillance Tapes

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he intends to fully release to the public the tens of thousands of hours of U.S. Capitol surveillance footage from January 6, 2021.

McCarthy’s comments came during a wide-ranging hourlong on-camera interview in the ceremonial U.S. House speaker’s office in his first sit-down interview since Fox News host Tucker Carlson aired on his program some never-before-seen clips of such surveillance footage earlier this week.

“Yeah,” McCarthy said when asked if the tapes will be fully released to the public.

“We just want to make sure we go through them all, and it takes time,” he continued. “The first thing that Tucker said too, he didn’t want to show any exits to cause any problems. We asked the Capitol Police, ‘Were there any concerns?’ They came back with one, and we mitigated that, but it was interesting, that one that they had a problem with, Eric Swalwell had had up on the internet for the last two years showing that part.”

McCarthy’s interview was taped as part of the latest On The Hill video special from Breitbart News, a long-form series of in-depth interviews and specials. He previously sat for one taped in late 2021 and released in January 2022 that laid the foundation for the House Republicans’ midterm message. McCarthy, in that special, first detailed the House GOP agenda the “Commitment to America” and made several major promises including that he would remove Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) from the House Intelligence Committee and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee if elected speaker. More than a year later, within days of getting elected speaker, McCarthy delivered on those promises and kicked Swalwell, Schiff, and Omar off those committees.

This latest special focuses on several major issues facing the country, including the threats of the Chinese Communist Party, the border crisis, and the debt ceiling. More from the interview will be released in the coming days and weeks. McCarthy’s comments about the January 6 surveillance are particularly newsworthy and timely as this was the most in-depth yet he has gone in explaining his rationale for releasing them, and responding to attacks from the media and people like Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for doing so.

The footage Carlson aired undercut some narratives that the last Congress’s January 6 select committee put forward, and those of many in establishment media. For instance, Carlson showed tapes of January 6 protesters inside the Capitol lining up and taking pictures inside—Carlson called them “sightseers” rather than “insurrectionists.” What’s more, another video Carlson aired shows Capitol Police officers walking around inside the Capitol for several minutes with the now-infamous “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley and even trying to help him open locked doors. McCarthy, when he became speaker of the House just about two months ago, provided Carlson with access to several of these tapes in the interest of transparency. But McCarthy told Breitbart News that Carlson just got the first bite at the apple and that these videos will be released more broadly in the coming weeks as sensitive security information is removed.

“Well this is all about transparency,” McCarthy said when asked why he released the tapes. “It won’t just be to Tucker. Like any news organization, different people get exclusives. We watched during the January 6, CNN would have exclusives all the time and nobody complained. CNN actually got to be in Statuary Hall for a whole hour for their own show. You’ve watched that January 6 would release only certain tapes. I think it’s better for transparency that anyone can make their own decision up, and as we walk through these, these are many more hours of tapes than the January 6 committee told us. It’s not 14,000. It’s 42,000 hours. We want to make sure for security purposes our certain exits aren’t shown and others. But you know the most interesting thing, when I had the team talk to the Capitol Police about making sure they had no problems with the exit and so on, they said January 6 never asked them that. They showed the exit of the vice president. They showed the exit from my office. They literally had then Speaker Pelosi’s daughter showing the secure location that they take the leadership. That’s not supposed to be known to anybody, and CNN reported it, and I don’t remember the press ever getting upset with that. So what we want to do is make sure we have this out that everybody can see it.”

Carlson made a compelling case in several instances, including the inaccurate claims from the January 6 committee that Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) somehow led a tour of January 6 rioters inside the Capitol the day before so they could conduct reconnaissance, that members of the January 6 committee lied to the public in their findings. Interestingly, however, the chairman of the now-defunct January 6 committee, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), made a stunning admission to reporters this week where he said members of the committee, including himself, never had access to the surveillance footage—only staff did. Asked if he thinks the tapes show that the January 6 committee lied to the public, McCarthy said he has not yet personally seen all the tapes so he is not ready to draw conclusions.

He did, however, bash the January 6 committee for partisanship—now-former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) engaged in an unprecedented action when she refused to allow Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Jim Banks (R-IN) to be seated on the committee—and he defended Loudermilk from the false accusations he has faced. McCarthy said ultimately though he hopes the public reviews the tapes and comes to their own conclusions.

McCarthy-Boyle

(Breitbart News)

“I haven’t been able to see all the tapes yet, but the one thing I did know, there were certain things that the January 6 committee did that I knew was purely political,” McCarthy said. “First, not letting Republicans on the committee. Secondly, they made accusations that we knew were not true. They said one Republican congressman gave a tour. Well the tapes show he did not give a tour, but you know what, one of the Democrats on the January 6 committee did give a tour in the Capitol the day before. We watched different accusations they made. That’s why I think transparency answers all that. That’s not my job to sit back and say whether they were right or wrong, but my job is to be transparent and people can make their own conclusion.”

McCarthy said he is unsure if the tapes will affect any trials or convictions of January 6 defendants, but argued that any of them should be able to use any of the tapes in their defense.

“I’m not sure but anybody’s that’s been held for trial, they should be able to have the ability to see the tapes,” McCarthy said. “They should be able to use the tapes. I don’t know if he [Chansley] was able to use the tapes during then, but I also believe in America you need equal justice. I watched what transpired in America, the burning of courthouses. Look, I don’t condone anything that happened on January 6. I don’t like what happened on January 6, but I watched the courthouses get burned in Seattle. I watched them attack federal employees. I watched what happened here, and no one getting arrested, no one being held up to justice. I think in America you want equal justice, and that’s what’s concerning to me.”

McCarthy also said he is unsure if anything in the tapes could lead to convictions being overturned, or to eventual pardons from a president down the road.

“I have not been able— there’s 48,000 [hours of] tapes,” McCarthy said. “I haven’t gone through them so I don’t know, but I’d leave that up to the justice system. But the one thing I will say is, to be fair, in equal justice, if there’s any person that’s accused they should be able to have a right to see the tapes to make their own defense.”

Asked if he intends to, with these revelations coming to light and more, investigate the investigators so to speak—people like now former Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL)—McCarthy noted they are no longer in Congress. As for Thompson, who was chair of the now shut-down committee, McCarthy said that his predecessor Pelosi’s decision to appoint him chair was suspect given his objections to previous elections of GOP presidents like in 2004 when he formally objected to the certification of then-President George W. Bush’s reelection.

“You know Adam and Liz are no longer here. What’s interesting is that Pelosi would even appoint Thompson for this committee,” McCarthy said. “You remember, he objected to the presidential election. The one thing that Bennie said at the very beginning is Nancy Pelosi is off limits and the Sergeant of Arms, so we can’t know about those emails or texts or those conversations. I’ve really taken the approach that the Capitol Police weren’t protected that day, that they weren’t given the information ahead of time. Should you have had National Guard here? What information did you have? I was never told of any threats beforehand, and you would not ever want to have that security problem happen again, so you want to look at it from a security point of view too. Why did it happen and how do you make sure that never happens again? To me it’s quite interesting that the January 6 never laid that out.”

McCarthy also ripped Schumer, the Democrat leader in the Senate, for calling for censorship in response to McCarthy’s transparency play. On Tuesday, after Carlson revealed some of these tapes on Monday night, Schumer called for Fox News and Rupert Murdoch to censor Carlson.

“I urge Fox News to order Carlson to cease propagating the big lie on his network and to level with their viewers about the truth, the truth, behind the efforts to mislead the public. Conduct like theirs is just asking for another January 6 to happen,” Schumer said on the Senate floor, adding in comments to reporters that he believes Murdoch has a “special obligation” to censor Carlson:

McCarthy, in response to Schumer, bashed the Democrats for trying to engage in censorship.

“I wish Chuck Schumer would read the Constitution,” McCarthy told Breitbart News. “The Democrats always go to censorship. You watched what they did with the laptop. You watched what they did with Twitter. They want to use government as much as they can to censor what people can see and what people can know. This is the difference between us. I believe in the Constitution. I trust the American people, and you should just have the ability to have all the information and let people make their own judgement.”

Chuck Schumer to Fox News: ‘Tell Carlson Not to Run a Second Segment’ of January 6 Video Footage

Chuck Schumer to Fox News: ‘Tell Carlson Not to Run a Second Segment’ of January 6 Video Footage

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated Tuesday that Fox News should prevent Tucker Carlson from airing more January 6 video footage of “lies” Tuesday evening.

Carlson released footage Monday that alleged Democrats knew Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick had not been murdered during the riot but mislead the public about his death, and that Ray Epps lied to the committee about when he left Capitol grounds. In addition, Carlson allegedly debunked the January 6 Committee’s claim that Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) had run away from the Capitol in fear. It also showed police escorting Shaman Jacob Chansley inside the Capitol.

Schumer, speaking on the Senate floor, was alarmed by the recently disclosed footage and warned more will be released Tuesday evening by Carlson. Schumer said:

I and so many others who were here are just furious with Tucker Carson. With disregard of the risks and knowing full well he was lying, lying to his audience, Fox News host Tucker Carlson ran a lengthy segment last night, arguing the January 6 Capitol attack was not a violent insurrection.

Schumer went on to say:

To say January 6 was not violent is a lie, a lie pure and simple. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a prime-time cable news anchor manipulate his viewers the way Mr. Carlson did last night. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anchor treat the American people and American democracy with such disdain.

“And he’s going to come back tonight with another segment,” Schumer warned. “Fox News should tell him not to. Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, tell Carlson not to run a second segment of lies”:

“Rupert Murdoch has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight [and] from letting him go on again and again and again [because] our democracy depends on it,” Schumer later told reporters.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Tuesday was also alarmed that January 6 video footage was publicly aired by Carlson, noting the previous condemnation from the United States Capitol Police chief. McConnell told reporters:

My concern is how it was depicted. It’s a different issue. Clearly, the chief of the Capitol Police correctly described what most of us witnessed on January 6. It was a mistake for Fox News to depict this in a way that is completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at Capitol thinks.

McConnell’s reference to the Capitol Police’s description relates to a statement issued by USCP’s Chief of Police, J. Thomas Manger, who depicted Monday’s video footage as “offensive” and would lead to “misleading conclusions.”

Manger also denied the Capitol Police on January 6 “helped the rioters and acted like ‘tour guides,’” which Carlson alleged.

“This is outrageous and false,” Manger stated Tuesday. “I don’t have to remind you how outnumbered our officers were on January 6. Those officers did their best to use de-escalation tactics to try to talk to rioters into getting each others to leave the building.”

Continued Twisting/Warping of Language (Part 2)…

Continued Twisting/Warping of Language (Part 2)…

Continued Twisting/Warping of Language (Part 2)…

By: Joseph M. Lenard

First: If it has not become clear over all my writings here on The Liberty Beacon thus far, let me say so explicitly here: I will single out anyone, anytime, anyplace, for PRAISE (whether it be someone on the Left or the Right) if earnestly deserving in-my-opinion. Always about principles, not the “who said what” of it. Conversely, as I am a Christian Constitutionalist Conservate Republican I wish clear that I will call out for CRITICISM someone/anyone on my side (especially CINOs/RINOs) when deserving also (The Left / FASCICRATS are, of course, easy targets for criticism on a daily basis due to all the stupid delusional things they say and continued #EpicFail of any/all their Policy (“Shall know them by their Fruits” and NOT their empty-rhetoric fake intentions)).

I am not and will never, ever, be a hyper-partisan hack willing to “adjust” (triangulate) my positions for political expedience (though, yes, there are times for nuance, and yes, I always reserve the Right to change my mind on something on occasion). Right (political spectrum speaking) does not always make “correct” as they could have facts wrong, or indeed a hyper-partisan hack on our side (IMO, makes them as dishonest as a Leftist Snowflake) every bit as bad as the propagandists on CNN, the MSNBCilers, others of/in #ENEMEdia (as I coined the tag).

VIDEO (10m 01s): Know nothing Snowflakes on both the Right and Left we must Educate (vlog from 2022):

Well, it has been an “interesting couple of weeks” these past weeks. “Continued Twisting/Warping of Language” was intended to be a one and done article/blog, but additional developments seem to dictate that I delve still further into this. Language, and not just the Left’s continued twisting of it, but too sometimes my fellow Conservatives being a bit “inartful” in the things we say too. No-one is perfect, except God/Jesus. We can all make a mis-speak (whether misstate something that is not factual, or just not “clear” in intent) from time-to-time (I speak extemporaneously all the time, so yes I hope on the occasions my brain and mouth don’t fully cooperate to express what I intend to share, that I can/do catch myself in the moment and am given GRACE and understanding to do so).

If it isn’t readily apparent why I used the word “inartful” will make a whole lot of sense shortly… And like I think I forgot/failed to say in the previous piece on this – IF Joyless Blowhard, also of The View (like discussed Whoopsie), or Chuckie Schumer, ever, as unlikely as it is to ever happen, actually says something of “merit” and “value” I would “happily” (probably not the right word, more like “somewhat reluctantly” but as a matter of honor and integrity) say so. Zero to do with Sex, or Skin-tone, or even Party, and everything to do with probity and uprightness (just as like, an important aside, how Justice is supposed to be Blind and have “no fear nor special favor” for nor against any).

Next, let’s start with a brief recap (for those who haven’t, or for whatever reason won’t go back for the context leading into this post) of last week’s “Continued Twisting/Warping of Language” piece that now Ex Post Facto becomes a part 1 and the REVISITATIONS of an older piece; as I’ve done in/with other TheLibertyBeacon pieces of mine; that one from BeforeItsNews (2019); which itself was repurposed from a 2011 “Rattle With US TEA-Party: site piece (yes, by me); rather than my usual updates of my need to be revisited RedState pieces about LEFT TWISTS LANGUAGE (in part the point/purpose of “Pathetical Corruptness” as I call PC-ism in the West) and do so as part of their attempts/desire to destroy Western Culture and specifically the USA Republic.

As I literally begged in last week’s piece, PLEASE READ ALL THESE WORDS CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY to assure the context is not lost or misunderstood – that we calmly read with logic and reason, and not act/react like Snowflakes in an Emotional Hysterics manner.

VIDEO (1m 05s): NY Post – this/their Video Headline says “CNN’s Don Lemon, 56, claims Nikki Haley, 51, ‘isn’t in her prime’” which is dishonest (lie by omission, distorted context), but included here none-the-less and important you listen carefully for yourself his exact words and reference:

Let me repeat from last week (in case some are coming in cold to this piece, not read last week’s part 1 yet… IF, in order to not be hypocrites, we call out the Left for their constant cries of “Offense” over things that are not really controversial, then we have to call out those of us on the right equally (like Ben Shapiro reacting with Emotional Hysterics rather than logic/reason; in the case of this statement in question) when they do/say SNOWFLAKE like things too (like people attacking Whoopsie over this, when there are indeed so many actual STUPID indefensible devoid of Reality things she says)!!!!!

VIDEO break: Megyn Kelly reacts to Don Lemon (approx. 1m)

Well, that was supposed to be it with last week’s piece as a one-off and stand-alone – AND I certainly have no intention of getting into the habit of even “partially” defending really stupid Liberals on any regular basis but I have this “hang-up” about honesty and as pointed out above #PrinciplesNotPersonalities and a desire to be “FAIR” even when others never are toward/for us, however… NOW that Don Lemon got flak I have to weigh in. He now says he was “inartful” in how he said what he said. Sorry folks, I have to agree. He was NOT saying that HE thought Women over 30 were well out of their Prime. He should have said, as what he meant, THE CONTEXT, was/is “The general excepted Patriarchal position of/by/in Society is that ‘Women over 30’ are past their Prime!”

Times have changed, and that is not likely true anymore, but that was his point. BUT the point here is that we should be artful ourselves in the way/manner which we criticize him. Let’s NOT take his comment out of context, but indeed criticize him for what matters and that is hypocrisy – he said what he said because he was groping for an ATTACK against a Republican Woman of whatever the age Nikki Haley (I don’t know, I don’t care) is. He would never ever have said such, in any fashion/form, in a conversation about Hillary Clinton. and that is the proper criticism to levy here! He could, probably should, BE FIRED for that alone; but he may finally land up FIRED improperly based upon a DISTORTION of what he was saying (improper context, which makes such a lie, by omission, in itself).

And now/here some ADDITIONAL CONTEXT in Video form…
VIDEO (1m 29s): USA Today – Nikki Haley’s comments that brought about Don Lemon’s rant and his subsequent apology tweet:

His non-apology apology was actually correct and shows he (or his Publicist, as it may not have been written by Lemon) recognized that the REAL OFFENSE was that what he said was irrelevant to that or any conversation regarding Presidential Candidates – but he thought made sense as an Alinsky Ad-Hom attack toward Nikki due to her statements on Term-Limits (NOT the same as agism). That, is the point I keep trying to make and repeat here – as to what and how and why he should be criticized (for the right reasons, not the distorted context).

Ultimately, it was/is a good thing, that we can/could/should be honest in our criticism of him, as it exposes not just him but all on the Left and their Alinsky (which is what this was) style attacks as they cannot deal on/with Policy – they have great risk of losing such discussions if people hear/see such debate in context (that are had honestly, and based in fact) which is why they avoid that. Nikki had a wonderful comeback about need for Term-limits; so let us also not be hypocrites and say we think “age is completely irrelevant” when we’ve been pushing for Term-limits for a long time which involves issues of age – but, there too, that whole context problem/issue again. We talk in terms of longevity in Office, staying/serving too long and them turning their service to all about themselves rather than those they are supposed to represent, and not a person’s physical age per se’ (though does often mean, someone is “up there” in age).

So, lastly, this piece (as the last) is all about language, so it is IMO actually fitting we end on this note about not distorting or warping terms/context ourselves.

VIDEO (4m 59s): CNN – Don Lemon confronted and responds to Dave Chappelle calling him out on Netflix:

Don may indeed not recover from this one, not for a while. Not due to what he actually said (IN CONTEXT) but how even his on-set female co-hosts reacted to it. After endless lies he’s told, they never cared about. After the endless attacks he’s made on Conservatives and plenty of them “Conservative Women” in the past, all perfectly fine before. CNN, as with the core of the FASCICRATS party, Single White ProBabyKilling Women – majority of CNN’s dwindling Ratings (their only core Base left). If they REFUSE to deal with the situation with logic and reason (and Leftists are never known for “thinking”) but instead their usual knee-jerk Emotional Hysterics “Feelings reactions” to the perception over the Reality – will take years out of the spotlight and time that he will hope people will forget, for him to have any chance for return (Maybe like Cuomo, to a third-rate, oh sorry CNN is third-rate, perhaps to a tenth-rate even lower Ratings than CNN channel). Why hadn’t they dropped him long ago – obviously Identity Politics, as they have plenty other morons in the wings that can/will be able to read the DNC Talking-Points from the CNN teleprompters eager/able to fill his seat (not carrying his past, and now additional present, baggage).

Regarding JoeBiDUMB and the Ohio Train derailment… No, nothing to do with twisting language here, but since I defended Don, let me demand some NON-HYPOCRISY FAIRNESS here about him and that…

GWBush was given endless grief for doing a flyover of Katrina, so-as to not add to the chaos on the ground. HE DID THE RIGHT THING (it is the Presidents place to show Leadership, to “feel the pain” while dispatching people who can ACTUALLY DO THINGS not just do the photo-op thing, Bush would have just been in the way in NOLA and especially worthless BumblingBiden in the way in Ohio). HOWEVER, that is where the Grace ends, and time for the brutal-truth/honesty to begin. Bush had FEMA ready to send in endless aid and Personnel once Katrina cleared. Now, obviously, that was/is different than a disaster you cannot see coming for days in advance. Now, again, that is where the Grace ends to/for JoeBiDUMB, Mayor Pete, and any and all of the other Deep State agencies buffoons. A day delay we can “maybe understand,” several days unacceptable response time, clearly just ignoring the situation completely for more than 10 days plus IMPEACHABLE!

Again, NO the POTUS doesn’t have to show up immediately there-after at any and every “situation” that arises, but he has to SAY SOMETHING and make clear his Executive Branch designed specifically for these incidents (NTSB, DOT, EPA). As the saying goes, the Fish rots from the Head down; and the Biden FASCICRATS regime is rotten all the way through – not a damn one of them worth anything or willing to do anything but that which destroys America, just otherwise there to coast and collect their Taxpayer stolen lavish redistribution (they could never earn a living in the real world).

OK – if indeed NOT what FEMA is specifically “designed and tasked” for. DOT, zero excuse for non-response. EPA, its only sole/legit existence (since Nixon created it, and then sadly like all WELL INTENTIONED THINGS, the Left gets control of, destroys, completely TURNS ITS MISSION on its head and it is all about WOKE shit now) as each State has its own EPA a Federal EPA was/is ONLY for these occasions where CROSS-STATE CATASTROPHE RESPONSE need be coordinated. And they sat by as multiple-States waterways become contaminated!! Also fair-game, to point out all the NON-EMERGENCY GRAND-STANDING chances for WOKE points he does, while zero action/reaction is happening when/where real Americans are hurting and need help – and yes I’m talking about the Ukraine photo-op it is NOT a surprise the year-anniversary would not be acknowledged in such a way (planned well in advance); did not other Presidents who up to support our Troops and our Allies? Yes, so, not necessarily PRINCIPLED to go at him on that UNLESS it is couple with Principled mentions of other not-so-worth trips like Jill again in Africa and Kamala’s endless photo-ops everywhere but our Border. We have to be PRINCIPLE and not hypocrites in our responses!

So, does Biden deserve criticism, HELL YES, but FAIR NON-HYPOCRITICAL criticism (PRINCIPLED, NOT PERSONALITIES based). Criticism for being a failure in virtually any and every sense and him sitting idly by while his ButtBoys in the DeepState also sat idly by and did nothing for damn near two-weeks before even beginning to show any interesting in doing their Jobs, when they actually SHOULD DO SOMETHING versus all the meddling and garbage they do they have no business doing!!!

And lastly in spirit of the old “Rick Roll” (expect one thing, get another)
VIDEO (4m 08s): You have been … “Rebecca Rolled” (after the seriousness need #AMomentOfLevity, though no doubt you’ve been rightly laughing at Don Lemon through this entire piece.):

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)

Schumer: GOP CCP Committee, FBI Probe Don’t Help People

Schumer: GOP CCP Committee, FBI Probe Don’t Help People

On Friday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that “None” of the things House Republicans have done with their House majority — which include forming committees on law enforcement abuses and a bipartisan one on the Chinese Communist Party — “helped the American people.” And Americans “don’t want just Congress to investigate, investigate.”

Schumer said, “Well, look, always try to work with the Republicans in a bipartisan way. … So, I would hope that House Republicans, under Speaker McCarthy, would reach out to us, we’ll reach out to them. I intend to sit down with Republican leaders in the Senate and the House and try and get things done that can help the American people. But this past week has been very discouraging. What did they do? Let’s look at each of the things they did. None of them helped the American people. The first thing they did is protect multimillionaires and billionaires from being audited. … Then they put in a budget that would require us to cut so many things. Their ten-year budget would cut Medicare and Social Security. Wow. Then they put in some things on abortion that would allow doctors to be prosecuted, criminalization in certain instances. And the final thing they did is launch a whole lot of committees to investigate. You know what the American people want us to do? They want us to do things to make their lives better. They don’t want just Congress to investigate, investigate.”

$1.7 Trillion, 4,155-Page Omnibus Bill Passes Senate with Help of 18 Republicans

The $1.7 trillion omnibus bill passed the Senate by a vote of 68-29 on Thursday afternoon. Eighteen Republicans voted for the 4,155-page bill just released days ago.

The House will vote on the bill potentially Thursday and be signed into law before Friday night’s deadline ahead of a government shutdown. Senators were rushing to vote on the bill before terrible weather hit Washington, DC, that would prevent them from returning home.

“From start to finish — from top to bottom — this omnibus is bold, generous, far-reaching and ambitious,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told reporters. “It’s not everything we would’ve wanted, of course. When you’re dealing in a bipartisan, bicameral way, you have to sit down and get it done, and that means each side has to concede some things.”

The $1.7 trillion, 4,155-page bill includes $45 billion of aid for Ukraine, adding to the $66 billion of taxpayers’ money lawmakers have already approved for Ukraine.

As a blank check and without any accounting for funds spent, American taxpayers have given more aid to Ukraine in 2022 than Afghanistan, Israel, and Egypt combined in 2020. In just a few short months since the Ukrainian war began, the amount of U.S. aid to Ukraine also surpassed three of the largest recipients of U.S. military aid in history.

A few Republicans tried to stop the massive spending bill. Negotiations become sticky Wednesday after Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) Title 42 amendment threw a wrench in the Senate process. As a result, many critics of the deal were hopeful Congress would be forced to pass a short-term spending resolution (CR) to keep the government open, pending a continued standoff between Democrats on Lee’s amendment.

But Schumer resolved the issue with a procedural tactic to circumvent Lee’s amendment. Schumer worked with Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Jon Tester (D-MT) Thursday morning by crafting a side-by-side amendment to provide political cover for ten senators to ignore Lee’s Title 42 amendment.

The senators who backed the alternative amendment for political cover to Lee’s amendment are notable. They include some senators who are up for 2024 reelection, such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Tester, and Sinema.

Schumer told reporters before the vote that the tactic would allow the spending bill to pass the Senate, enabling senators to go home before Christmas, a self-imposed deadline by Schumer’s negotiating colleague, Sen. McConnell McConnell (R-KY), who has publicly supported the massive bill.

“Providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now according to most Republicans. That’s sort of how we see the challenges confronting the country at the moment,” McConnell said Tuesday.

The bill will head to the House for approval. If all goes well, President Joe Biden will sign the bill into law in the coming days.
