Biden campaign puts lid on events until after Thursday debate

October 19, 2020

Former Vice President Joe Biden‘s presidential campaign called a lid on campaign events Sunday night until after Thursday’s debate with incumbent President Donald Trump.

When a candidate’s team “calls a lid,” they announce to the media that there will not be any campaign events, press conferences, and even interviews for a certain amount of time. While these typically last for only a single day, this one will last up through Thursday. Biden’s campaign states that he will be using the next few days back home in Delaware to prepare for his final debate with President Trump on Thursday evening.

This comes as Trump swings through multiple states with a full roster of in-person rallies and events, all while showing no signs of stopping or slowing down. Additionally, the former vice president is facing heat about the leaked emails from a New York Post exposé last week which alleges that his son Hunter exploited his father’s position at the time as vice president in his dealings abroad.

While ahead of Trump in the national polls and in swing states, the margin of which has been dwindling slightly, Biden has relatively few campaign events scheduled with 15 days until Election Day. The only event this weekend that Biden is scheduled to hold is a car parade in Durham, North Carolina next Sunday, whereas Trump has four large rallies planned in four swing states.

As of Monday, over 29 million people have already cast their ballots, according to the U.S. Elections Project.

The next couple of weeks will be critical for both campaigns as they try to scrape up whatever undecided voters they can and motivate their bases to get out the vote.

The next and final presidential debate will air Thursday from 9 pm to 10:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time), and will take place in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Obama Administration Bombshell Announcement That is About to Take Them ALL Down

bombshell

Bombshell reports are showing that the Obama administration granted access to a public relations firm that worked for Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings to join in a White House conference call relating to then Vice-President Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine in 2015.

Biden Bomshell Hits the Fan

The New York Post broke possibly the story of the decade on Wednesday and unveiled deep corrupt secrets dealing with Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and his son Hunter Biden.

The news network reported that an associate working at the public relations firm Blue Star Strategies sent an email containing parts of the conference call a top Burisma executive, Vadym Pozharskyi. The email also went to Hunter Biden as well as his business partner, Devon Archer. Both sat on Burisma’s board.

The call was on December 2, 2015, and the minutes of the conference call was emailed very shortly after it happened.

VP Biden Brags About Quid Pro Quo

Later in the month, Vice President Joe Biden went to Ukraine and bragged at a Council on Foreign Relations speaker event on January 23, 2018 where he talked about making Ukrainian officials fire their state prosecutor Viktor Shokin.

Shokin was doing an investigation at the time involving Burisma and its owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, for corruption.

Biden’s bombshell quid pro quo was caught on video and showed him threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantee.

[embedded content]

“‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting a billion dollars. I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’

“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.”

The Threat Worked

Within a matter of a few weeks, the investigation was halted and Hunter Biden remained on the board making $83,333 despite having no relevant experience.

Censorship at its Finest

Despite the massive bombshell, Facebook and Twitter have been heavily censoring the New York Post story.

The network was able to obtain the information off of Hunter Biden’s laptop that he left for months at a computer repair shop. The shop owner tried to return the device but Biden never responded so he eventually turned it over to the FBI.

The mainstream media has also been all but silent on the matter.

Despite the lack of coverage, the American people now know the truth about the corruption that the Biden family is involved in.

Donald Trump: Joe Biden ‘More Corrupt’ than ‘Human Vacuum Cleaner’ Hunter Biden

President Donald Trump accused former Vice President Joe Biden of being more corrupt than his son Hunter, who pursued lucrative foreign business deals overseas while his father was vice president.

“Joe is far more corrupt than Hunter because Joe knew everything,” Donald Trump said citing information suggesting that the former vice president was getting a cut of the profits. “Joe’s getting a piece of everything.”

The president spoke about Biden and his son’s foreign deals during a campaign rally in Carson City, Nevada, on Sunday and also on Twitter.

One of the emails published by the New York Post showed Hunter Biden outlining a “provisional agreement” with a Chinese energy company. The proposal cites ten percent of the equity held for “the big guy” — identified as Biden, a source told Fox News.

New details of Hunter Biden’s deals have been published by the New York Post after they acquired a trove of emails found on a laptop that likely belonged to Biden.

“They found the laptop, you know. They call that the laptop from hell,” Trump said.

The laptop is said to contain thousands of emails as well as photos of Hunter Biden.

Trump described Hunter Biden as a “for-profit cash machine.”

“This guy’s a vacuum cleaner,” Trump said. “He follows his father around and takes millions, hundreds of millions, and billions of dollars out of these countries. … I call him the human vacuum cleaner.”

Sen. Ron Johnson Calls For FBI To Address Reported Biden Ukraine Meeting

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) on this week’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” called on the FBI to answer questions about a reported meeting between former Vice President Joe Biden and a senior official from Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Johnson said, “I think it’s pretty odd that quite honestly the Biden campaign all they’ve done to deny this is to say that the meeting one of these e-mails revealed that Vice President Biden had with the number three in control of Burisma never showed up on his official calendar. There’s all kinds of meetings that didn’t show up on his official calendar. This wouldn’t surprise me if this one didn’t. The first thing after we got contacted by the whistleblower the day after we issued our report on Ukraine was, you know, we contact the FBI and determine is this story true? Can you verify any of this? And took a couple of days to basically give us no information.”

He continued, “So I just sent another letter yesterday because the FBI has a duty to inform us if they believe this was maybe Russia disinformation, they should give us a defensive briefing and tell us about that and if, for example, they also believe that what information this whistleblower gave us is fraudulent that would also be a crime and FBI should tell us that. So we’re trying to assess out of the FBI what do they know and when did they know it, but the larger question really is, if they had this information, and these are genuine e-mails, and it would probably reveal all kinds of things that would have been very relevant to the impeachment case why did they sit on it? Are they covering up just because Hunter Biden might be engaged in things that also maybe should have been investigated and possibly prosecuted? Do we have two systems of justice, one for Democrats and one for Republicans one for the well-connected versus one for the rest of the Americans that’s really the larger issue here at play?”

Johnson added, “This isn’t a standard investigation where if the FBI doesn’t indict somebody that everything remains confidential. This is something that as we were talking about relates to national security and if there’s criminal activity involved that could be tied to Hunter Biden or his business associates or even possibly tie it back to other members of the Biden family. As some of these e-mails indicate that Joe Biden was fully aware of he was taking his 10% cut or requiring 50% from his family member’s salary, this needs to be known before Americans go to the polls.”

Trump Campaign: 11 Questions The Media Must Ask Joe Biden About Hunter Biden ‘Selling Access’

Tim Murtaugh, the spokesperson for President Donald Trump’s campaign, said Sunday that the news media should ask Democratic rival Joe Biden “red, flashing, glaring” questions about allegations about his son, Hunter Biden, “selling access.”

Murtaugh noted that the Biden campaign had not denied the substance of reports that Hunter Biden had arranged meetings between his business partners in Ukraine and China and with then-Vice President Biden.

The reports have been based on emails purportedly discovered on a laptop abandoned at a repair shop in Delaware, and subsequently reported by the New York Post and others; and emails shared independently with Breitbart News by one of Hunter Biden’s former partners.

Biden is reported to have met with an adviser to the corrupt Ukrainian energy company, Burisma; and with executives from the China Entrepreneur Club (CEC), including Chinese billionaires and Chinese Communist Party loyalists.

The Biden campaign “does not dispute the authenticity of these emails nor do they dispute that the laptops these emails came from” belonged to Hunter Biden, Murtaugh said.
He argued that the emails showed that Joe Biden lied when he said: “I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period.”

Murtaugh added that Biden had not denied any of the allegations.

“The lone exception is to say that no such meeting [with Burisma] appeared on Joe Biden’s official schedule at the time. This explanation is a joke, and it’s embarrassing to the Biden campaign that this is the best they can do.”

He noted that the Biden campaign had told Politico that it could not rule out that such a meeting might have taken place. And he noted a report in Fox News about emails that discussed 10% of one deal being set aside for someone called the “big guy.”
Murtaugh also noted that the one time a mainstream media reporter asked Biden about the allegations, Biden attacked him.

Nevertheless, Murtaugh argued, journalists covering the Biden campaign had a duty to ask him the following questions:

  1. Did Hunter drop off this laptop at that repair show in Delaware?
  2. Does the laptop belong to Hunter Biden?
  3. Why would a grand jury subpoena the laptop [which was seized by the FBI for a grand jury]?
  4. Are the emails authentic?
  5. Have you ever met any of Hunter Biden’s foreign business partners?
  6. What did you talk about with Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner and fellow Bursima board member, when you played golf [as captured in a photo revealed last year]?
  7. Did you meet with Vadym Pozharskyi, the Bursima executive, in that meeting [in 2015], as described in the emails?
  8. Can you explain the 10% stake n the Chinese energy company described as being specially for you, as worked out by Hunter and his business partners?
  9. Is Hunter Biden holding money for you?
  10. Do you make Hunter give him half of his income [as alleged by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, based on a text message purportedly found on the laptop]?
  11. Are you, as a candidate for President of the United States, compromised by the Chinese?

Murtaugh added that efforts by Facebook and Twitter, the “Silicon Valley mafia,” to “squelch” the story had “backfired on them, because it made it a much bigger story.”

He said that if the moderator in the third debate did not bring up the issue, President Trump would likely do so.

The Biden Emails Prove Impeachment Was A Sham

Remember January? I know it feels like several lifetimes ago, the before times of life as we used to know it. But think back to the biggest story of those chilly days. It wasn’t the Chinese virus slowly spreading to our shores or the Democratic presidential primary. No, it was the impeachment of the president of the United States. This week’s bombshell New York Post story on Hunter Biden now shows what many of us suspected: The impeachment was a ridiculous sham.

The basis for the impeachment, for those whose recollections are understandably shaky, was that President Trump pressured the president of Ukraine to launch investigations into the energy company Burisma for the purely political purpose of hurting Joe Biden. Central to that allegation was the argument that Trump and the United States had no legitimate interest in seeing Burisma investigated. If the trove of emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop are accurate, and they have not been disputed, then this argument falls to pieces.

Pam Bondi, working for the Trump defense team, said this back during the national ordeal about the Democratic House managers’ constant attempts to call allegations against the Bidens “baseless”:

In their trial memorandum, the House managers describe this as baseless. Now, why did they say that? Why did they invoke Biden or Burisma over 400 times? The reason they needed to do that is because they’re here saying that the president must be impeached and removed from office for raising a concern. And that’s why we have to talk about this today. They say ‘sham.’ They say ‘baseless.’ They say this because if it’s OK for someone to say, ‘Hey, you know what? Maybe there’s something here worth raising,’ then their case crumbles.

And here we are. If these emails are accurate, then it is as clear as is the summer sun that Hunter Biden was absolutely selling access to his father and the Obama administration in exchange for his lavish salary. This was literally at the heart of the Trump defense, and it really is a silver bullet. What reasonable person would even suggest that the president of the United States may not push allies to investigate legitimate corruption involving the executive branch of the federal government?

House Republicans this week sent requests for information to the FBI to see if they were in possession of these emails at the time of impeachment. It is an important question that the American people deserve an answer to. To borrow a phrase from another show-stopping trial of the century, if the email’s legit, you must acquit. As far as I know, there is no way to reverse an impeachment, but if there were one, now would be the time.

Remember, “Impeachment is forever”? It was the big catchphrase right before “Don’t touch your face” shot up to No. 1. When was the last time you even heard a Democrat say the word impeachment? If this black mark on Trump’s presidency is so very damning, then why isn’t the Biden campaign making a big deal about it? Or frankly, talking about it at all? The reason, of course, is that even back in January, Democrats were concerned that should Biden win the nomination, some of these chickens could come home to roost. Now they have, and my goodness, they are laying some heavy eggs.

What Trump must make clear in the final weeks of the election is that not only was his impeachment a giant lie, a despicable ploy by desperate Democrats, but it was also a massive cover-up on behalf of Joe Biden. It is time for what we naively thought would be the biggest story of 2020, namely impeachment, to make its way back into this election — not as Democrats intended as a negative for Trump, but as his ultimate vindication against charges we now know to be baseless, crude, and deeply cynical.

Joe Biden Lashes Out at CBS Reporter for Asking About Hunter Biden Emails: ‘I Have No Response’

Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden refused to explicitly respond to the bombshell emails obtained by the New York Post, alleging a direct link between the then-vice president and his son Hunter’s lucrative business dealings with Ukrainian gas conglomerate Burisma.

When Biden was leaving Michigan Friday night, CBS Reporter Bo Erickson asked him about the story claiming Hunter introduced Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma, to then-VP Biden – who was in charge of U.S. policy towards Ukraine – in 2015.

Hunter was also serving on the board of Burisma when the alleged meeting took place, and he was getting paid tens of thousands of dollars each month.

“I know you’d ask it. I have no response. It’s another smear campaign, right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask,” Biden replied, sounding annoyed.

CBS Reporters Ed O’Keefe and Paula Reid came out in defense of their colleague for questioning the Democrat presidential nominee, who rarely speaks to the press.

Although the Biden campaign has denied that the former VP ever met Pozharskyi officially, it has not denied ever meeting the man.

“We have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place,” Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement, Politico reported Wednesday.

“Biden’s campaign would not rule out the possibility that the former VP had some kind of informal interaction with Pozharskyi, which wouldn’t appear on Biden’s official schedule,” Politico added.

Senior Biden advisers, including Michael Carpenter and Amos Hochstein, who served the former VP at the time of the meeting, also said that Biden might have met the Burisma executive in an unofficial capacity.

Hunter’s work for Burisma between April 2014 and April 2019, while his father served as vice president, raised eyebrows among some Obama-era officials who saw it as a conflict of interest.

The VP’s son serving on the Burisma board was at the center of the Democrat efforts to remove U.S. President Donald Trump from office during the impeachment proceedings.

Former VP Biden has claimed he never spoke to Hunter about his business dealings overseas.

Former VP Biden has also denied any Burisma-related conflict of interest or wrongdoing by him or his son despite members of the Obama administration warning that it looked terrible that Hunter was working at a Ukrainian company that U.S. officials believed to be corrupt.

In an ABC News interview, Hunter himself admitted that his father’s political position helped him secure the lucrative appointment to Burisma’s board of directors.

The senior Biden boasted in 2018 about threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees to Ukraine as VP in 2016 if the Eastern European country did not fire its top prosecutor, who wanted to investigate the owner of Burisma for corruption.

Big Tech, namely Facebook, Twitter, and Google, have tried to censor the New York Post story.

Emails: Burisma Adviser Told Hunter Biden His ‘Ultimate Purpose’ Was to ‘Close Down’ Investigations

An adviser to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma suggested in an email in 2015 that Hunter Biden was expected to provide “deliverables” for the company, including the “ultimate purpose” of stopping “cases/pursuits into the company’s founder.

The email, contained in a batch published by Ken LaCorte at the Media Action Network, is reportedly from the same laptop that has been the source for a recent series of articles in the New York Post purportedly about Hunter Biden’s business dealings. The authenticity of the emails has not been verified.

The batch includes an email in November 2015 from Burisma adviser Vadim Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden’s business partners (on which Hunter Biden was cc’ed), outlining a set of “deliverables.”

The emails make clear that Biden and his partners were expected to arrange meetings with U.S. and Ukrainian officials with the goal of “improving Nikolay’s case and his situation in Ukraine.”

“Nikolay” appears to refer to Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, according to the Post.

Pozharskyi wrote that the “list of deliverables” included “the ultimate purpose” of stopping “cases/pursuits against Nikolay”:

My only concern is focus to be on the same page re our final goals. With this in mind, I would like to formulate a list of deliverables, including, but not limited to: a concrete course of actions, uncle. meetings/communications resulting in high-ranking US officials in Ukraine (US Ambassador) and in US publicly or in private communication/comment expressing their “positive opinion” and support of Nikolay/Burisma to the highest level of decision makers here in Ukraine :President of Ukraine, president Chief of staff, Prosecutor General, etc

The scope of work should also include organization of a visit of widely recognized and influential current and/or former US policy-makers to Ukraine in November aiming to conduct meetings with and bring positive signal/message and support on Nikolay’s issue to the Ukrainian top officials above with the ultimate purpose to close down for   any cases/pursuits against Nikolay in Ukraine.

Other emails in the trove show a keen awareness of Hunter Biden’s relationship to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, who was leading U.S. diplomacy with regard to Ukraine.

In May 2014, Pozharksyi wrote to Hunter Biden and Archer explaining that Burisma was under pressure from the Ukrainian government. He claimed that government officials, seeking cash, had decided to pressure the company by launching investigations that could result in the company losing its energy licenses or its business partners.

He added:”We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message / signal, etc .to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions”.

Another May 2014 email from Heather King, a partner at the Boies, Schiller & Flexner law firm, to Pozharskyi — on which Hunter Biden and Archer were cc’ed — proposed creating a “bullet-proof vest” for Burisma, including relationships with U.S. government officials.

Another email, dated May 13, 2014, reported that Vice President Biden’s counsel called Hunter Biden’s business partners to ask that they tell Burisma to take down a photograph of Devon Hunter and Joe Biden that appeared on Burisma’s website.

That was the same day reporters asked the White House and State Department about Hunter Biden’s relationship with Burisma. (Joe Biden has claimed that he was not informed about potential conflicts of interest posed by his son’s work for Burisma.)

In 2018, former Vice President Joe Biden boasted that he had threatened Ukraine with the loss of $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees — in the middle of a war with Russia — if the country did not fire its top prosecutor, which it then did.

Former Vice President Biden has also denied having anything to do with his son’s overseas business interests, but the Post revealed that Hunter Biden had arranged a meeting between his father and Pozharskyi in 2015.

Breitbart News reached out to Pozharskyi for comment via email, but received no response.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos Fails to Ask Joe Biden About Hunter Biden Emails

ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos failed to ask former Vice President Joe Biden at a town hall Thursday night about new email evidence that his son, Hunter Biden, arranged a meeting with him for an adviser to the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma in 2015.

As Breitbart News noted Wednesday, the New York Post reported on emails it had obtained from an abandoned laptop in which Hunter Biden’s correspondence with a senior Burisma official was preserved.

The Post broke the story:

Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post.

The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.

An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.

The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.

The mainstream media attempted to ignore the story, and social media companies suppressed or blocked it, provoking complaints about censorship and leading Republicans to announce that they would subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

That led the Wall Street Journal‘s James Freeman to write earlier Thursday:

Many Trump voters who tune in to ABC tonight will be fully expecting the anchor to invite “undecided voters” to ask the former vice president if he thinks the President is being mean to the Biden family. Mr. Stephanopoulos could also dodge the issue by inviting Mr. Biden to share his opinion of the New York Post.

On the other hand, tonight also represents an opportunity for ABC to set itself apart from the raft of media companies, new and old, that have dedicated the last 36 hours to suppressing a damning report about their favorite candidate. Regardless of the particulars of the Post reporting, Hunter Biden’s overseas windfalls have been clear for a while. ABC should hold the former vice president to account for the abuse of his office.

Despite having 90 minutes in which to ask Biden the question, Stephanopoulos never did so, nor did anyone in the audience.

Breaking: New Set of Hunter Biden Emails Released

A fresh set of leaked emails has been released Thursday, allegedly recovered from a laptop Hunter Biden dropped off for repair but never picked up. The New York Post took a lot of heat when they publicly revealed the first set on Wednesday. The fact checkers are going frantic but they don’t have a lot of weight in their arguments when The Post obviously has pictures of a coke crazed Biden and a treasure trove of highly suspicious emails.

Hunter Biden hammered two days in a row

There’s a lot of screaming coming up out of Joe Biden’s basement this week. Joe isn’t happy that his bad seed offspring is ruining any chance Kamala Harris has of being president. The latest batch of leaked messages shows Hunter on the prowl for something to pay for his habit. His monkey chow was costing him a fortune so he tried to make a deal with China. He made sure to let the “major Chinese firm” Shanghai conglomerate China Energy Co. know he was looking for deals “interesting for me and my family,” an allegedly veiled reference to his father Joe Biden, who was serving as vice president at the time.

There was obviously some kind of quid pro quo but the details aren’t out yet. In May of 2017 under the subject line “Expectations,” one thread spelled out details of “remuneration packages” for six people in a business venture. Hunter was identified as the “chair/vice chair depending on agreement with CEFC.” His pay was “850” and he “has some office expectations he will elaborate.” Those “expectations” allegedly included access to his father on demand. That seems to have quite a bit of substance when you consider what the Post reported Wednesday.

The day before, The Post turned the nation’s capitol upside down by publishing “other emails that showed Joe Biden lied when he said he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.” In that batch, an adviser to the Burisma energy company in the Ukraine, Vadym Pozharskyi, thanked Hunter for “an opportunity to meet your father.”

Eighty percent split four ways

The Chinese company Hunter Biden was cobbling together entered into a “provisional agreement” where 80 percent of the “equity” would be “shared equally among four people.” Biden and three of his buddies, Probably including Devon Archer and Chris Heinz.

An email posted by James Gilliar with J2cR consulting notes, “I am happy to raise any detail with Zang if there is shortfalls?” Zang would be Zang Jian Jun who was the former executive director of CEFC before they went bankrupt. Also in 2017, Hunter “reportedly discussed a deal with Ye Jianming, a since-vanished chairman of CEFC.”

Hunter Biden wasn’t shy about insisting on heavy coin for not a lot of work, he made it crystal clear his real value had nothing to do with what he knew but who he knew. “Consulting fees is one piece of our income stream but the reason this proposal by the chairman was so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would also be partners inn [sic] the equity and profits of the JV’s [Joint Venture’s] investments.”
