George Soros Puppet Child Greta Thunberg Lurks Out From Under Rock to Make Announcement

greta thunberg covid summit climate change

Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg has said she will not attend the high-profile United Nations climate change summit if current vaccination trends continue.

Greta Thunberg threatens to boycott event over “vaccine nationalism”

Thunberg tweeted Friday morning in response to a BBC report which said she had “no plans” to attend the summit, known as COP26, which is due to take place in Glasgow, Scotland in November.

“Of course I would love to attend the Glasgow COP26. But not unless everyone can take part on the same terms,” Thunberg tweeted.

She argued that many countries were vaccinating “healthy young people” against Covid-19 at the expense of higher risk groups and front-line workers in other countries.

Thunberg said inequality was already at the heart of the climate crisis, adding that if people could not be vaccinated and travel to the summit to be equally represented, that would be “undemocratic.”

“Vaccine nationalism won’t solve the pandemic,” Thunberg said, arguing that “global problems need global solutions.”

Nobody cares what this little globalist puppet has to say

High-income countries have been accused of vaccine nationalism, having bought more than 4.6 billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines, according to data released in March by the Duke Global Health Innovation Center. In comparison, low-income countries have secured just 670 million doses of the vaccines.

Thunberg also said in her Twitter thread that even if the COP26 summit had to be delayed due to the pandemic, that “doesn’t mean we have to delay the urgent action required” on climate change.

Sky News reported last week that the summit could be delayed for a second time due to the pandemic.

“We don’t have to wait for conferences nor anyone or anything else to dramatically start reducing our emissions,” Thunberg stated.

At the same time, the activist said that a virtual conference would be “far from optimal,” given the lack of high-speed internet and computer access in certain parts of the world, which would also limit equal representation at the summit.

White House Explains Why They Will Let Private Sector Initiate The Vaccine Passport Demand – Government Doesn’t Need to Get Involved When Multinationals Do Their Bidding

CTH will continue pointing out the merge of Government and Multinationals while Conservative Inc and Republicans run from criticism of their K-Street masters.

Let us start by taking a look at this specific point about COVID vaccination passports:

The people behind the JoeBama administration do not need to step on the hot-button issue of ‘vaccine passports’ because they already have ideological allies working on the issue.  Remember that phone call with 100 multinational corporations a few days ago?  Why would a Marxist government need to engage in an issue highly charged with politics, when they can just farm-out the same outcome to their Marxist corporate allies?

Hopefully people can see what is happening here.

There are trillions at stake.  Those trillions need to engage in control mechanisms to retain their position.  The multinational corporations know how financially lucrative COVID compliance is.  Those same multinationals are setting up the parameters for control in the exact same manner the U.S. government would.  The ideological multinationals and the ideological JoeBama administration are working in concert.

Multinationals do not like capitalism because within the process of capitalism they do not have control over the financial outcomes.  Capitalism breeds competition; multinationals abhor competition, they are totalitarian in ideology and want the entire pie under their control.  Multinational corporations do not like capitalism; underline it, emphasize it, do not forget it.

Capitalism is based on the principles of a free market.  Multinationals do not want a free market, they want a controlled market.  Their efforts toward a vaccine passport are an example of yet another control they can manipulate for maximum financial benefit.  It really is that simple…..

…. Meanwhile the crew of totalitarians behind JoeBama know they can benefit from their corporate allies.  The multinationals will pay the politicians for control and the politicians will construct defensive legislative outcomes that protect the multinationals.  That is what is happening in exponentially increasing sunlight.

Unfortunately the multinationals are also the funding mechanism for the UniParty.  Democrats and Republicans both benefit from the financial process of payments by the multinationals for control of legislative outcomes.   This is the entire purpose of K-Street.   In third-world countries we call bribery of elected officials “corruption”; however, in the United States we call bribery of elected officials “lobbying”, the process is exactly the same.

In a slightly nuanced outline of the same type of Government and Multinational merging, Glenn Greenwald has a solid article explaining why and how the corporate world is using “false wokeness” as a tool for expanded financial benefit.

Greenwald – […]  Large corporations have obviously witnessed the success of this tactic — to prettify the face of militarism and imperialism with the costumes of social justice — and are now weaponizing it for themselves. As a result, they are becoming increasingly aggressive in their involvement in partisan and highly politicized debates, always on the side of the same causes of social justice which entities of imperialism and militarism have so effectively co-opted.

Corporations have always sought to control the legislative process and executive branch, usually with much success. They purchase politicians and their powerful aides by hiring them as lobbyists and consultants when they leave government, and those bought-and-paid-for influence-peddlers then proceed to exploit their connections in Washington or state capitals to ensure that laws are written and regulations enforced (or not enforced) to benefit the corporations’ profit interests. These large corporations achieve the same goal by filling the campaign coffers of politicians from both parties. This is standard, age-old K Street sleaze that allows large corporations to control American democracy at the expense of those who cannot afford to buy this influence.

But they are now going far beyond clandestine corporatist control of the government for their own interests. They are now becoming increasingly powerful participants in highly polarizing and democratic debates. (read more)

.

Can you see it now?….

The federal government is lost amid this sordid soup of interests.  Republicans and Democrats are benefiting from COVID financial opportunities provided by the multinationals.  How will this play out?…  Well, follow it to its natural conclusion.

It will be up to the individual states to block vaccine passport requirements initiated by the private sector.  Unfortunately their track record on mask requirements is not a good precursor for what needs to happen.  States will need to initiate legislation that prohibits private companies from demanding vaccinations in order to participate in their commercial enterprise (airline flights, venue entry, tickets, etc.).

Some states will do this, other states will not; that’s the problem.  We are going to have “free states” and “control states”.

Ideological banks may stop doing business in free states.  Ideological airlines may stop doing business in free states.  Ideological companies like Amazon may stop doing business in free states.   Everything will fracture and the Alinsky crew will be high-fiving themselves.  Then issues like the postal service will come up…. Eventually the federal government will step-in to play a role and… they will likely support the corporations because that’s who pays them.

The worst part about all of this is the origination is a fraud.  The entire functional narrative of the COVID virus is based on a fraud.  It’s not about a virus; nothing about this has anything to do with a virus; it is all about control.

Can you see it now?…

Here Are The People Behind The MLB All Star Game Move from Atlanta

MLB atlanta game voter ID law

By now you have probably heard that Major League Baseball (MLB) moved the All-Star Game out of Atlanta. MLB cowered like a frightened soy boy to a radical lunatic Democrat operative when it decided to join the Woke Supremacy in claiming the reason for its decision was that the new Georgia election integrity law was racist. Of course, the argument that the new law is racist is not real, but the fear of the crazy person pushing them to do it most certainly is.

MLB caves to the radical Democrats

As predicted by anyone who has kept up with Georgia politics, the lying miscreant applying behind-the-scenes pressure was failed Georgia lunatic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, the same woman who still refuses to concede her race against current Governor Brian Kemp.

On Wednesday evening, Fox News confirmed that Abrams was the culprit behind the MLB Commissioner’s decision.

“Major League Baseball (MLB) commissioner Robert Manfred decided to move the All-Star Game on his own after holding extensive discussions with voting rights groups associated with NBA loudmouth Lebron James, Stacey Abrams, and racist loudmouth Al not so Sharpton,” according to sources familiar with the situation.

“Abrams and Sharpton told the commissioner players would boycott the game if not. Sources say that Abrams’ current stance, that she is disappointed about the Georgia boycott, is suspect as she was a key player in the decision,” the report continued. “James has publicly supported the Georgia boycott,” adding to the commissioner’s pressure.

In other words, Abrams lied about being “disappointed” over the boycott when she was instrumental in the threats made to the MLB commissioner.

Threats like that are called extortion, a felony, and I wonder if the Georgia Attorney General will investigate?

“Abrams’ group and Sharpton also urged the commissioner to support other issues, including voter drives and H.R. 1, the For the People Act — sweeping election reform that recently passed the House,” the Fox report continued.

Apparently, Abrams was not the only one who lied here. When the MLB issued its statement, it appears that it lied to baseball fans and the players about the reasons behind its decision.

“Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and the Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views,” the statement read. No mention of LeBron James, Al Sharpton, or Stacey Abrams.

Those “among others” are radical leftist members of various levels within the Woke Supremacy who seem to be the actual force behind the MLB’s decision to move the game out of Atlanta, a decision that cost small businesses and the state of Georgia about $100 million in revenue.

MLB boycott voter ID law atlanta

The Left is pushing for more voter fraud in the 2022 elections

MLB has since moved the game to blue-state Colorado, which has even stricter voting laws than Georgia. They moved the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, a city that is 51 percent black to Denver, a city that is about 91 percent white because they said Georgia’s new voting law is racist. And yet Colorado’s voting laws, at least in the Woke Supremacy’s mind, are worse than Georgia’s.

For example, Georgia has 17 days of in-person early voting, while Colorado only has 15. Colorado also has a photo ID requirement to vote in person. Colorado has the exact same rule that campaign workers may not give anything to voters standing in line that Georgia has. Knowing all of this, does the MLB’s move make any sense at all?

President Joe Biden, Stacey Abrams, and other members of the Democrat Woke Supremacy have referred to the Georgia election integrity law as “Jim Crow” infuriating Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, causing him to go public and fight back at such an egregious accusation.

“There is nothing ‘Jim Crow’ about requiring a photo or state-issued ID to vote by absentee ballot – every Georgia voter must already do so when voting in-person,” Kemp said in a statement to The Hill.

Coca-Cola Gets ‘Woke’, Then Put Right Back to Sleep

coca-cola georgia boycott

Republican lawmakers in Georgia have asked Coca-Cola to remove its products from the statehouse after its CEO attacked Georgia’s recently passed election integrity bill.

Coca-Cola and other big companies getting involved in politics

“Coca-Cola Company has been one of Georgia’s most successful companies,” started the letter. “We, as members, have enjoyed partnering with Coke to make Georgia the #1 State in which to do business and our relationship has been built on respect, transparency, and honesty.”

“Unfortunately, upon the passage of the ‘Election Integrity Act of 2021’, your company has made the conscious decision to perpetrate a national dialogue which seeks to intentionally mislead the citizens of Georgia and deepen a divide in our great State,” continued the letter.

“We have the responsibility to all of Georgia to not engage in those misguided intentions nor continue to support corporations who choose it. SB 202 expands early voting opportunities, provides for a pathway to ensure shorter voting lines, secures the use of drop boxes which otherwise would be illegal, as well as several other provisions allowing all Georgians greater access to fast, secure and transparent elections.”

Major corporations run by radical lefties

“Given Coke’s choice to cave to the pressure of an out of control cancel culture, we respectfully request all Coca-Cola Company products be removed from our office suite immediately,” said the letter. “Should Coke choose to read the bill, share its true intentions and accept their role in dissemination of mistruths, we would welcome a conversation to rebuild a working relationship.”

Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey called the bill “unacceptable” and “a step backwards.”

“Let me be crystal clear and unequivocal, this legislation is unacceptable, it is a step backward and it does not promote principles we have stood for in Georgia, around broad access to voting, around voter convenience, about ensuring election integrity, and this is frankly just a step backwards,” said Quincey.

Instacart Attacked Georgia’s Voter ID Law But Requires Its Own Shoppers To Provide ID

Two hundred companies signed off on a letter last week to condemn the new Georgia election bill, which notably requires identification for voter absentee ballots. Among the signees was the founder and CEO of food-delivery service Instacart, Apoorva Mehta.

“We believe every American should have a voice in our democracy and that voting should be safe and accessible to all voters,” the statement said. “There are hundreds of bills threatening to make voting more difficult in dozens of states nationwide. We call on elected leaders in every state capitol and in Congress to work across the aisle and ensure that every eligible American has the freedom to easily cast their ballot and participate fully in our democracy.”

While Instacart joined the group of virtue-signaling executives, the company neglects that it mandates all shoppers who deliver groceries to demonstrate photo and facial identification to participate in the gig economy.

According to the company’s website, “the first thing you’ll need to have on-hand” to become an Instacart shopper is “the details of your driver’s license.” Furthermore, applicants must provide their social security number information to get to the next step of inputting their bank information. Additionally, a shopper must undergo a background check that will take up to 10 business days to be cleared to be a contractor. Even after providing this information, a shopper must center their face on the application and be confirmed to shop on a daily or weekly basis.

Nevertheless, Instacart has seemingly taken issue with a bill that both mandates voter ID for absentee ballots and institutes an 11-day deadline for requesting an absentee before election day. Instacart has placed itself on the side that prefers an “election season,” which Democrats have sought.

The hypocrisy here is only worsened by the fact that the company wishes to make shoppers wait up to 10 days to begin working, while implying in its condemnation of the bill that 11 days is far too short for a contractor to have to request an absentee ballot. Why should there be any window, any background check, or any mandate for its employees to prove ID if Instacart takes issue with a bill to do exactly what it is doing (for something far less consequential)?

In truth, one should need to demonstrate ID to both work at Instacart and vote in an election, but these companies are too beholden to left-wing activists, and thus have lost any shred of credibility to comment on the issues of the day.

Instacart did not immediately respond to a request for comment by The Federalist.

MAGA Majority, 75% of Voters Support ID Requirement, Majority of Voters Do Not Support Georgia Boycott

As CTH has noted often before, the pragmatic MAGA policies -and the America First agenda- are supported by the overwhelming majority of Americans.  The problem we face is far-left ideologues, the BIG TECH conglomerates, controlling the communication platforms that allow us to recognize the scale of our unity.

To evidence the majority opinion, today Rasmussen reports on a poll of over 1,000 voters to ask the key questions [SEE HERE].  The results are what we would expect.

♦ On the corporate boycott of Georgia the majority of Americans do not support it:  Democrats: 50% support the boycott, 38% do not.  Unaffiliated: 35% support the boycott while 47% do not support it.  For Republican voters: 25% support the boycott and 63% oppose it.  This translates to all voters: 37% support the boycott and 50% do not.

The majority of Americans do not support the ideological corporate boycott of Georgia.  This is why the boycott of the corporations who are acquiescing to the minority can be punished so severely.   With only 1 in 3 Americans supporting the corporate decision, those corporations can be crushed.

♦ Additionally, in the same polling the overwhelming majority of Americans support showing ID to vote.  “75% of Likely U.S. Voters say requiring voters to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to vote is necessary to “a fair and secure election process.” Nineteen percent (19%) disagree.”

With only 1 in 5 voters supporting the far-left policies of the JoeBama administration, there is a very real possibility they can be punished in the mid-term elections for their insane left-wing agenda.

Biden Flip-Flops On Georgia Boycott, Refuses To Say The Masters Should Relocate

Less than a week after President Joe Biden expressed strong support for Major League Baseball’s decision to move its All-Star game to Colorado, he refused to say the Masters Tournament should also boycott Georiga over the state’s newest election law on Tuesday.

“I think that’s up to the Masters,” Biden said before expressing support for corporations enacting economic sanctions over political disagreements. “It’s reassuring to see that for-profit operations and businesses are speaking up about how these new Jim Crow laws are just antithetical to who we are.”

The flip-flop comes less than a week after the president told ESPN he “strongly” supported the MLB’s boycott of Georgia.

“I think today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly. I would strongly support them doing that. People look to them. They’re leaders,” Biden said in an interview with ESPN on Wednesday. “Look what’s happened with the NBA, as well. Look what’s happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports, and it’s just not right.”

Biden’s tune changed on Tuesday when he warned that a mass exodus of businesses from the state could hurt “the people who need the help the most.”

“There’s another side to it too,” he said. “When they in fact move out of Georgia, the people who need the help the most — people who are making hourly wages —sometimes get hurt the most. I think it’s a very tough decision for a corporation to make, or group to make.”

Despite his concerns, Biden claimed that he “respects them when they make that judgment”  and “supports whatever judgment they make.”

On the same day of Biden’s gaslighting, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reiterated that the president and his administration did not call for any businesses to boycott Georgia.

“Ultimately, let me add one more thing, it’s up to Major League Baseball to determine where they’re holding their All-Star Game,” she said during her Tuesday press briefing.

“He also was not dictating that Major League Baseball move their game out of Georgia,” Psaki said on Friday. “He was conveying that if that was a decision that was made, that he would certainly support that and that’s true in the context of the remarks he made in that interview.”

It’s Long Past Time For Conservatives To Boycott Corporations That Hate Them

So much fuss in the past several weeks has been about the Georgia election bill. Naturally, given the legacy media’s editorializing of the false premise that Republican Gov. Brian Kemp’s signed measure restricts voting rights, the leftist mob has sought to put pressure on corporations to denounce S.B. 202.

Thus, Major League Baseball cratered. The MLB announced last Friday the relocation of its All-Star Game, which was scheduled in July at Truist Park, where the Atlanta Braves play. The game will now take place in Denver, Colorado, at Coors Field, the Rockies’ home field.

Other corporations bowed down to the mob as well, including Delta Air Lines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck. The hashtag #BoycottCocaCola trended on Twitter last week, culminating in CEO James Quincey virtue-signaling about how the bill is “unacceptable.”

“It is a step backwards, and it does not promote principles we have stood for in Georgia around broad access to voting and voter convenience, about ensuring election integrity,” the beverage executive said.

“What we do is we raise the specter of voter fraud and now we restrict legal voters, eligible voters with the ability to cast ballots,” claimed Merck Chairman and CEO Ken Frazier. “And that’s what’s wrong with this bill — because democracy depends on every voter in this country having free and fair access to vote without discrimination and without undue hindrance.”

All of the bumper sticker aphorisms about democracy and election integrity are in response to a bill that mandates voter identification for absentee ballots and prohibits partisan actors from passing out gifts to voters in line at the polls, among other provisions that should be uncontroversial.

It is truly appalling the degree to which the left sees election security as oppressive or racist nowadays. While these corporations are within their rights to take political positions, conservatives ought to take a page from the left’s playbook and announce the boycott of organizations that 1) callously reject ordered liberty and 2) are willing to appease the far-left at all costs.

It’s time for the right to get tough — and to stop supporting groups that do not support them.

Consider the Chicken Sandwich Wars

For years, the left has understood it can affect the culture through boycotting. Regardless of flawed motives and immoral outbursts, Democrats have done this much more effectively than the right. Case and point: fast-food chain Chick-fil-A.

The left has exhaustingly fomented over Chick-fil-A’s stance as a Christian organization. After vocal leftists claimed they would stop eating at Chick-fil-A in 2012 — despite the business booming regardless long after president Dan Cathy came out against gay marriage — in due time, the company gave in to the mob from a public relations standpoint.

While conservatives took a stand for Chick-fil-A, and the chain reported a “record-setting day” of sales after then-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee called in a Facebook post for “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” Cathy caved in 2013 and deleted his tweet over the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage.

“He realized his views didn’t necessarily represent the views of all customers, restaurant owners and employees and didn’t want to distract them from providing a great restaurant experience,” the company said in a statement.

Years later, after continued leftist complaining over Chick-fil-A funding groups that both define marriage as between a man and a woman, as well as its backing of pro-life groups, the company announced in 2019 it was changing course to prove fealty to its secular, woke overlords. It was pretty pathetic, but it is an important lesson.

Those on the right recognize Chick-fil-A dropped the ball by capitulating, but we must also recognize that the strategy of the obsessive radicals worked. More importantly, Chick-fil-A never lost money, or was actually boycotted to its detriment.

Yet, pressure from activists still forced the company to change course. The lesson is that if the right could both boycott and be ardent in its rhetoric, change will come. Companies are in operation to make money, after all. If conservatives remind them of this, they will crater.

It’s Time to Play Offense

The left is already engaged in a culture war for ideological domination of every American institution, so there is no other choice than for the right to join the fight as well. What does this entail? Well, former President Donald Trump certainly channeled the proper mindset. It’s time to get on the offensive.

“Never submit, never give up!” Trump said in a statement. “It is finally time for Republicans and Conservatives to fight back — we have more people than they do — by far! We can play the game better than them.”

In addition to boycotting the organizations that have voiced disapproval over the Georgia election security measure, conservatives need to take a firm stance against the Big Tech oligarchs that want nothing more than to muzzle their mouths shut. Conservatives also need to keep calling out the hundreds of companies that defended the Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioting and looting over the summer, including Adidas, American Airlines, Ben & Jerry’s, BMW, Dell, Foot Locker, and many others. Any company that supports lawlessness and disorder should not receive your paycheck.

Any company that is openly supportive of the killing of the unborn and funds Planned Parenthood should be boycotted. This includes hundreds of companies, such as Craiglist, Dockers, Allstate, Aetna, United Airlines, Patagonia, Liberty Mutual, and others. Here is a recent list provided by Family Council. It might seem burdensome to retreat from products that have defined your livelihood in America’s materialistic society, but if the left is threatening to boycott goods, we cannot just sit around and twiddle our thumbs with hollow statements about the free market.

What about the companies that have backed measures to restrict your Second Amendment rights? In a letter obtained by the New York Times in 2019, 145 groups called for gun control measures. Save this document, print it out, and circle the name of each company. Blow them up on social media and call your representatives to voice your complaints.

Conservatives need to make companies remember what they are here for: to provide goods and services, not be the arbiters of ideology. As America splinters off into political and cultural niches, and our nation grows more and more divided, the war for our businesses means letting them know that they will lose customers if they continue to alienate their customers.

Joining the fight, as Trump called for, means having a backbone and at least attempting to pressure the rich and powerful to confirm their positions on the issues. For far too long, the right has been content with a free market that is made up of companies that despise freedom. Conservatives have rendered capitalism to be a god — neglecting that the companies they support should also have their interests in mind, or at least not be against them.

Republicans have endlessly preached about why the free market should be external to ideology, but denying that politics plays into the culture — and culture into politics — shows that some in the GOP don’t know what time it is. In the process, we have been deceived by soulless and immoral corporations growing wealthier by the minute.

A free market is great, but what is undoubtedly not great is giving your hard-earned cash to people who support ideas and organizations fundamentally opposed to you and what you believe. It is not the 1980s, and the sun is not shining down in Washington. It is time to fight like your country depends on it — because it does.

It is time for Americans who are sick and tired of being pawns in the left’s kingdom to fight back. It is time for you to boycott corporations that hate you.

After MLB Backlash, White House Pretends Biden Didn’t Call For Economic Sanctions Against Georgia

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodged a question about President Joe Biden’s position on Major League Baseball’s decision to relocate its All-Star Game to Colorado over the new Georgia election bill during her Tuesday press briefing.

“Is the White House concerned that Major League baseball is moving their All-Star Game to Colorado, where voting regulations are very similar to Georgia?” Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked.

Psaki’s reply, however, did not touch on the Biden administration’s position. Instead, she rattled off a list of differences between the Georgia election reforms and Colorado’s current election laws, which she claims promote voting.

“First, let me say, on Colorado. Colorado allows you to register on Election Day. Colorado has voting by mail where they send, to 100 percent of people in the state who are eligible, applications to vote by mail. Ninety-four percent of people in Colorado voted by mail in the 2020 election. And they also allow for a range of materials to provide even if they vote on Election Day for the limited number of people who vote on Election Day,” she said.

Psaki said the Georgia voting law, by comparison, is “built on a lie,” and that there was no fraud in the 2020 election.

“What there was, however, was record-setting turnout, especially by voters of color. So instead, what we’re seeing here, for politicians who didn’t like the outcome, they’re not changing their policies to win more votes, they’re changing the rules to exclude more voters. And we certainly see the circumstances as different,” she said.

Psaki concluded her monologue by washing the administration’s hands of the MLB’s decision.

“Ultimately, let me add one more thing, it’s up to Major League Baseball to determine where they’re holding their All-Star Game,” she said.

Psaki previously denied that Biden “called for businesses to boycott” but that he does support them if they choose to remove themselves from the state.

“He also was not dictating that Major League Baseball move their game out of Georgia,” Psaki said on Friday. “He was conveying that if that was a decision that was made, that he would certainly support that and that’s true in the context of the remarks he made in that interview.”

In his interview with ESPN, the president said he said that “today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly” and that he would “support” the MLB relocating the game.

“People look to them. They’re leaders,” Biden said. “Look what’s happened with the NBA, as well. Look what’s happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports, and it’s just not right.”

MLB has relocated the All-Star Game to a city with more voter restrictions and less black citizens

Major League Baseball (MLB) is reportedly planning to relocate the All-Star Game from Atlanta, Georgia to Denver, Colorado in response to voting legislation recently passed in Georgia, sources told the Associated Press.

The MLB Commissioner’s office is expected to declare Tuesday that the Colorado Rockies will host the game.

“Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box,” said MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred in a statement. He added, “Fair access to voting continues to have our game’s unwavering support.”

Company executives from MLB and other corporations claim the new legislation suppresses voting rights and President Joe Biden told ESPN it’s “Jim Crow in the 21st Century” and that he would “strongly support” moving the game out of Atlanta.

However, the MLB has chosen to relocate the All-Star Game to a state where there are more voter restrictions.

The state of Colorado require proof of identification when casting a ballot to vote and it also has fewer early voting days than Georgia.

Glenn Kessler, a reporter for The Washington Post, analyzed the new Georgia legislation and came to the conclusion that many provisions of the Georgia law make voting more accessible, not less.

Many are now questioning if Commissioner Manfred had read Georgia’s voting laws before deciding to pull the All-Star Game from Atlanta.

The All-Star Game has also been pulled from a city with mostly black citizens and has been relocated to a city with mostly white citizens.

According to U.S. Census data from 2019, Atlanta, Georgia, is 51% black and Denver, Colorado is 9.8% black.

Moreover, The Daily Caller reported that the relocation of the All-Star Game will significantly impact black-owned businesses in Atlanta. Nearly 30% of businesses in Atlanta are black-owned and Georgia will face an estimated lost economic impact of more than $100 million due to the MLB’s boycott of Atlanta, according to the outlet.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has declined to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opening game will boycott any other Major League Baseball events after the MLB “adopted what has turned out to be a false narrative about the election law reforms in Georgia,” Abbott wrote in a letter to a top Texas Rangers executive on Monday.

“It is shameful that America’s pastime is not only being influenced by partisan political politics, but also perpetuating false political narratives,” Abbott said, adding that he “will not participate in an event held by MLB, and the state will not seek to host the All-Star Game or any other MLB special events.”
