New Mayor Brings Old Anti-Crime Methods Back to Liberal City

New Mayor Brings Old Anti-Crime Methods Back to Liberal City

New York City has a new mayor and he doesn’t like “broken windows” any more than Rudy Giuliani did. Everybody knows the Big Apple “is in the midst of a staggering crime wave.” Concerned citizens are really happy to see Rudy’s anti-crime units back on the street. They were re-branded as “anti-gun units” to appease liberals but the job is the same.

Mayor Adams gets aggressive

Violent crime numbers for things like murder, rape, robbery and assault skyrocketed in New York City under Bill de Blasio’s liberal Democrat administration. The new mayor, Eric Adams, was elected in a clear referendum to clean up the crime.

He quickly reinstated special NYPD units to patrol city streets and subways, calling them Anti-gun units to make them more palatable to progressives. They’re after the gangsters holding and using illegal guns, not average Second Amendment supporting citizens.

Its come to the point where “New York is a city under siege,” Judicial Watch describes. “Every day brings a new horror story.

Criminals go in and out of the revolving door system with ease, while justice never seems to get done. Police are getting ambushed on a regular basis. Mayor Adams is doing something about it.

Back when Rudy Giuliani was mayor in charge of the city, he implemented a “Broken Windows” theory of policing. The phrase is meant as “a metaphor for urban decline.” When a building’s broken window isn’t repaired, it “soon leads to the other windows being broken and more disorderly conduct.

As Giuliani’s police commissioner William Bratton and George Kelling, the father of Broken Windows theory write, “a neighborhood where minor offenses go unchallenged soon becomes a breeding ground for more serious criminal activity and, ultimately, violence.

Decriminalizing crime

For years, liberal progressives have been decriminalizing crimes one by one. Then they defunded the police out of existence. Citizens not yet ready to try do it yourself justice elected Mayor Adams, begging him to put a stop to “public urination, public drinking, littering, and subway turnstile jumping.” De Blasio had legalized all those things.

Now shoplifting is being decriminalized in liberal jurisdictions, too. Along with incidents of harassment, menacing and petty theft. Not to mention the looting and actual breaking of windows as fallout from those justice for George Floyd peaceful protests.

Mayor Adams had a solution. A “refreshed version of the successful but controversial NYPD anti-crime unit, which was disbanded in 2020.” Each six-member team “will aggressively tackle gun crime in New York.

Around 170 are on the street already, “focusing on high crime areas.” Adams wants to get bail laws back on track and “crackdown on transit crime with an increased police presence in the subways.

The first of Mayor Adams’ new units made “a first arrest just two hours into the first patrol — an alleged member of the Bloods crime gang with a loaded 9mm handgun.

By the end of the very first week, the units “had arrested thirty more suspects and taken ten illegal guns off the streets.” Someone needs to mail them some donuts.

Bill de Blasio Proposes Rule to ‘Silence’ Parents Critical of NYC Education Policies

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, in his last few weeks in office, is attempting to silence parents critical of public education policies, according to two parent leaders.

Proposed Chancellor’s Regulation D-210 would give the Department of Education (DOE) the authority to “discipline and remove” elected parents from Community Education Councils (CEC) — the city’s version of a school board — if they criticize the school district they are charged with holding accountable, write former District 2 CEC president Maud Maron and current District 2 CEC vice president Danyela Souza Egorov in the New York Post.

According to Maron and Egorov, the “whole point of an elected parent council” is to be able to freely oppose DOE policies. The proposal is set to be voted on December 21, a date chosen, write the parent leaders, because it is “not a historically high parent-participation date.”

One section of the newly minted “Code of Conduct” bars council members from engaging in “frequent verbal abuse and unnecessary aggressive speech.” It also gives the chancellor the authority to remove a member if they the chancellor determines their conduct is “contrary to the best interest of the New York City school district.” Removal from the CEC might come if member conduct “creates or would foreseeably create a risk of disruption within the district or school community.”

Maron and Egorov say the new proposal also “establishes yet another administrative position to monitor parents: the equity-compliance officer.” This officer would be “charged with deciding who to target for removal.”

Noting the timing, the two parent leaders say the regulation comes immediately after an election in which, for the first time, parents were able to directly vote for CEC members. According to Maron and Egorov, some seats were “flipped,” electing members critical of DOE policies.

As Breitbart News reported, a Manhattan school decided to racially segregate students to participate in “affinity groups,” a policy apparently being followed across the city and one which Maron and Egorov say parents have “sharply objected to.”

The parent leaders also noted other city school policies that they believe are the reason for flipping CEC member seats to DOE skeptics. “Over the last three years, we parents have vocally opposed the DOE’s misguided school-closure and masking policies,” they wrote. “Parents have clashed with the DOE regarding plans to scrap the SHSAT entrance exam to specialized high schools and eliminate gifted and talented schools and programs.”

“Calling parents ‘domestic terrorists’ did not work to silence parents at school-board meetings,” Maron and Egorov conclude, “and trying to do an end-run around democratically elected parent leaders should not be allowed either.”

Bill De Blasio Calls for Vaccine Passport Programs in Other Parts of the Country

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) on Monday defended his updated vaccine mandates — expanding to private-sector employees as well as young children —  claiming that “vaccine mandates work” and that such vaccine passport programs should be emulated across the country.

De Blasio listed a series of new mandates on Monday, one of which is a “first in the nation” expansion to private-sector employees, covering about 184,000 businesses. Additionally, he is now requiring businesses to discriminate against unvaccinated children ages 5-11, including them in the Key to NYC vaccine passport program beginning December 14.

“This is something that is going to keep kids safe and families safe. Go get your child vaccinated. As long as they’ve gotten that first dose by December 14, they can continue to participate [in] indoor dining, entertainment, all these great things,” he said Monday.

The far-left mayor attributed the “aggressive” actions to the Omicron variant, as well as the winter months and upcoming holiday gatherings.

“We cannot let those restrictions come back,” he said, suggesting that the solution is doing things that “work.”

“Vaccinations work and vaccine mandates work. That’s the bottom line,” he asserted.

“Use the thing that works. Vaccination,” he continued, calling it the “central weapon in this war against COVID.”

“It’s the one thing that has worked every single time across the board on a strategic level. It’s the reason New York City is back in so many ways, and it’s the reason we can avoid shutdowns and restrictions,” de Blasio claimed, calling the Key to NYC Pass “extremely effective” and calling for similar programs across the country.

“[It] needs to be more,” he said of the program, adding it “should be used in more and more places.”

In August, Mayor de Blasio bragged about having President Biden’s support for a vaccine passport program, claiming that Biden said, “100 percent said yes, cities and states and counties” should follow suit and implement similar coercive mandates.

“Now as to the fact that this should be picked up all over the country, and emulated, what clear, clear support we got from President Joe Biden,” de Blasio said at the time.

Notably, it was over one year ago that Biden promised he “wouldn’t demand” mandatory vaccinations.

New York City to Mandate Coronavirus Vaccine for All Private Sector Employees

New York City to Mandate Coronavirus Vaccine for All Private Sector Employees

New York City will mandate the coronavirus vaccine for all private sector employees starting December 27 in an attempt to combat the omicron variant.

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the “first in the nation” measure on Monday morning, calling it a preemptive strike against the omicron coronavirus variant and a measure to “maximize vaccination quickly, so we can get ahead of omicron and all the other challenges we are facing right now with COVID.”

“All private-sector employers in New York City will be covered by this vaccine mandate as of Dec. 27,” he added.

Bill de Blasio’s mandate also expands indoor dining, entertainment, and fitness vaccine mandate for children, ages five to 11 years old. Individuals who are between those ages and unvaccinated will reportedly be refused service at restaurants, entertainment venues, and gyms on December 27.

The new measures will also require two vaccine doses, up from one, to be considered fully vaccinated.

Bill de Blasio’s omicron variant measures come as the virus has spread to 17 states, the Washington Post reported on Monday. It has rapidly spread, though candidate Joe Biden promised at least ten times in 2020 to “shut the virus down.”

The News York Times admitted in November more people have died under Biden’s watch from the coronavirus than under former President Donald Trump, despite vaccine availability.

NYC Is About To Let 800K Noncitizen Immigrants Vote In Its Elections

NYC Is About To Let 800K Noncitizen Immigrants Vote In Its Elections

The New York City Council plans to pass a bill that would authorize approximately 800,000 immigrants who are not citizens of the United States to vote in local elections.

The “Our City, Our Vote” legislation would ensure that migrants who hold green cards, migrants who maintain a legal work status in the United States, and DACA recipients are granted special voter registration forms that are used to obtain a local-only ballot at the polls.

“The legislation calls for training poll workers and community education campaigns to ensure every voter receives the correct ballot,” The New York Times reported.

Outgoing Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio said he has “mixed feelings” about the legislation because it could dissuade migrants from obtaining citizenship, and he reaffirmed his belief that giving immigrants special voting privileges “has to be decided at state level, according to state law.” The veto-proof majority in the Council, however, plans to move forward with the bill on Dec. 9.

One councilman, Ydanis Rodriguez, told The New York Times that the bill is a good thing for Democrats who can use it to further the talking points claiming that “voting rights are being attacked” across the country.

“It’s important for the Democratic Party to look at New York City and see that when voting rights are being attacked, we are expanding voter participation,” he said.

Republicans, however, are already fighting Democrats’ efforts to legislate noncitizen voting into permanency in other places around the country. In October, the Republican National Committee announced it would sue Montpelier and Winooski, Vermont, for altering their town charters to accommodate municipal voting by noncitizens.

“Democrats are trying to dismantle the integrity of our elections. In addition to attacking widely supported safeguards like voter ID, Democrats also want foreign citizens to vote in American elections. Republicans are fighting back on this far-left assault against election integrity — unlike radical Democrats, we believe that our elections should be decided solely by American citizens. This is a matter of principle and we will fight in all 50 states to ensure this remains the case,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said.

NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio Calls Rittenhouse ‘Violent Gunman’ After Verdict Announced

NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio Calls Rittenhouse ‘Violent Gunman’ After Verdict Announced

After the announcement that Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges in the shootings that killed two men and injured a third during last year’s riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Democrat New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio falsely called the two men who were killed by Rittenhouse as they attacked him “victims,” adding that Rittenhouse – who was then 17 years old – was a “violent, dangerous man” and “violent gunman.”

“On August 25, 2020, Rittenhouse – who was then 17 years old – made the short 30-minute trip from the town of Antioch, Illinois, to Kenosha, Wisconsin, with the stated purpose of assisting business owners and residents in protecting their property from rioters and looters,” reported. “Rittenhouse walked around the city armed with a semi-automatic rifle for protection and carrying a first aid kit for helping anyone injured in the riots. “

“People are getting injured, and our job is to protect this business, and part of my job is to also help people,” Rittenhouse said in a video before the shootings occurred. “If there’s somebody hurt, I’m running into harm’s way. That’s why I have my rifle, because I need to protect myself, but I also have my med kit.”

As he was guarding a used car dealership, Rittenhouse was attacked and chased by rioters. He ended up shooting two rioters as they tried to attack him, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and injured a third who had aimed his gun at Rittenhouse, Gaige Grosskreutz. All three men shot by Rittenhouse were white.

After four days of jury deliberation, the jury found that Rittenhouse was “not guilty” on all charges.

“This verdict is disgusting and it sends a horrible message to this country,” de Blasio wrote on Twitter in response to the verdict. “Where is the justice in this? We can’t let this go. We need stronger laws to stop violent extremism from within our own nation.  Now is the time.”

“Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum are victims. They should be alive today. The only reason they’re not is because a violent, dangerous man chose to take a gun across state lines and start shooting people. To call this a miscarriage of justice is an understatement,” de Blasio added.  “The far-right trolls who think it makes a difference whether a violent gunman got his weapon before or after he crossed state lines are missing the point: two people are dead and their killer is left unaccountable. That’s not justice and they know it.”

Bill de Blasio Brags About Forcing Thousands of City Workers to Get Vaccinated: ‘Great News’

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) delivered “great news” during Wednesday’s press conference, announcing that thousands of city employees who were placed on unpaid leave due to the coronavirus vaccine mandate have succumbed to government coercion and got the jab.

According to the Democrat mayor, vaccination rates have risen significantly since the announcement of the city worker mandate. Eighty-six percent of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), for example, is vaccinated, up from 70 percent at the announcement of the mandates. Similarly, the Department of Sanitation New York (DSNY) and New York City Fire Department (FDNY) are also reporting an increase in vaccinations since the announcement.

As of November 1, after the mandate went into effect, 9,000 employees were placed on leave without pay. However, that number now sits at 2,600, representing less than one percent of all city employees, per the mayor.

According to the NYC Mayor's office, 86% of the city's 378,000 municipal workers have received at least one dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. The mayor has given municipal workers until 5 P.M. tonight to get vaccinated and has also eliminated the option to get tested weekly. “I want to thank again all our public servants who made the decision to get vaccinated. I want to welcome those who have not yet made that decision to do so. We need you. Let’s move forward together,” de Blasio said.

“So obviously, a lot of employees upon recognizing the opportunity to keep serving the public, keep getting paid, keep their families safe, keep their colleagues safe, keep the people they serve safe,” he continued.

“They made the decision to come in and get vaccinated. So 2,600 employees on leave without pay from this current mandate. [A] very, very small piece of our public work force,”  he added.

De Blasio said there are currently 12,400 employees seeking exemptions from the mandate. However, de Blasio once again warned that many of those will be denied.

“Look what we know from past practice … some of those will be approved, a good number will not be,” he said. “Then people will have the choice of course, get vaccinated, come back to work, and I do expect most people are going to take that choice based on everything we’re seeing here.”

“Most people will ultimately make the decision to get vaccinated and we welcome that. This is further proof of why this city is the safest place to be in America right now,” he declared, echoing the sentiments expressed in Tuesday’s press conference, where he called New York City the “safest place to be” in the United States.

Last month, de Blasio said he prefers to “respect people’s intelligence” before forcing them to get vaccinated, essentially suggesting those who are refusing to do so are making a foolish error.

De Blasio Has Ensured People Who “Care For Criminals Have More Rights Than People Who Care For The Average New Yorker”

NY Fire Dept Union Head

“When you tell someone they have nine days to make a decision for a vaccination or lose their job, they don’t want to work with you.”

Steve Watson

Andrew Ansbro, president of the FDNY-Firefighters Association, slammed NYC mayor Bill De Blasio Monday, after it was revealed that some 2300 firefighters are unable to do their jobs because of the vaccine mandate.

Ansbro assured Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham that the firefighters are not all anti-vaccine, but they are standing up against a vaccine mandate.

“From the beginning, a lot of members didn’t feel they need it because they were already infected previously,” Ansbro noted, explaining “We just want our day in court. We want to have the ability to be heard.”

“When you tell someone they have nine days to make a decision for a vaccination or lose their job, they don’t want to work with you,” Ansbro urged.

He also pointed out that regarding vaccinations, “Teachers were given over a month, and corrections does not have to make the decision until December 1st.”

“So once again, the mayor is showing that people that care for criminals have more rights than people who care for the average New Yorker,” Ansbro declared.

The union leader also slammed critics who are suggesting that firefighters on ‘sickouts’ are causing staff shortages themselves, noting “You can’t claim that the unvaccinated firefighters are causing a staffing shortage because this morning you were sending them home. So they wouldn’t have been working either way.”

First responders protesting the mandate proclaimed that they are being treated like “garbage” and “thrown to the trash.”

One firefighter commented, “When we go to calls, we don’t judge and say are you worth saving?” adding “But now our livelihoods and our families well being is a question, are we worth it? We never asked that question during the pandemic.”

NYPD officers also protested Monday by holding a sickout, prompting the leftist media to go into attack dog mode:
