Houston detectives release video of May kidnapping in hopes of catching suspect

The Houston Police Department is releasing video in hopes of identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping:

On Monday, May 24, 2021 at around 9:40 am, the complainant was at his apartment complex, located at the 4900 block of West 34th, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that he was approached by a male that he knows as “Cuba,” who pulled out a handgun and told him that they were going to take a drive to his bank and withdraw money. The complainant was then forced to get into the suspects’ vehicle, an older model black Ford Mustang, and then drove to a bank, located at the 1200 block of Blalock. The suspect then walked behind the complainant as they approached the counter and was forced to withdraw $600. Once the complainant had the money, the suspect grabbed him and forced him back to his vehicle. The suspect then drove the complainant back to his apartment complex and fled the scene. 

Suspect description: Black male, mid to upper 20’s, 5’8, long dark hair, and teal jacket.
