WHAT’S NEXT? (The G20 Summit & Future Lockdowns)

RemnantTV Published November 26, 2022

It may seem as if the COVID pandemic is over but for the political and corporate leaders who gathered in Bali for the November 2022 G20 summit, it is anything but. In fact, they’re already planning the next one, which is why they’re calling for preemptive global lockdown measures.

In this edition of The Remnant Underground, Michael Matt returns to the theme of waking the masses to what the Global Elites are up to, which includes war on God. In fact, Klaus Schwab advisor, Yuval Noah Harari came right out and admitted it: “The whole idea of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection – this is fake news!”

Plus, more on Governor Ron DeSantis’s decision to tell Klaus Schwab to pound sand, Tony Fauci steps down, and Traditional Catholics take their formal resistance to Pope Francis into the pages of the New York Times.

Finally, how do you like your Tesla so far? Enjoy it while it lasts because California is running out of power and the Global Elite are getting ready to ration energy worldwide.

This madness doesn’t have to become our reality. There is a way out. Michael Matt explains.

China Doubles Down on ‘Zero Covid,’ Orders Police to Hunt Down Protesters

China Doubles Down on ‘Zero Covid,’ Orders Police to Hunt Down Protesters

The Chinese Communist Party, through its state propaganda outlets, insisted that it would not relent on its brutal lockdown and quarantine policies known as “zero Covid” on Monday, apparently responding to, but not acknowledging, protests in major cities nationwide over the weekend.

Beijing has insisted on “zero Covid” for nearly three years, abruptly trapping people in their homes and often leaving them without food or basic medicine. The Chinese government announced its first deaths attributed to a Chinese coronavirus infection in six months last week – three people over the age of 87 – meaning that, by the regime’s own tally, more people have died as a result of lockdowns, forced internment in quarantine camps, and other “zero Covid” policies than by Chinese coronavirus infections.

Chinese citizens have staged protests, some of them violent, against the policies since at least March 2020, when a group of people in Hubei province – where Wuhan, the origin city of the virus, is located – brawled with police and overturned police cars in an attempt to leave their province. The NGO Freedom House observed in a report this month that protests have slowly increased in frequency until becoming a “daily” occurrence this year.

Simultaneous protests erupted over the weekend in some of the nation’s largest cities – Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou, among others – against the Communist Party’s lockdown and quarantine policies, apparently triggered by disgust at authorities failing to properly address a high-rise residential fire in Urumqi, occupied East Turkistan, last week. As the building was under a coronavirus lockdown, firemen could not reach it through barricades, resulting in at least ten and as many as 40 deaths, including children. The Communist Party denied any relationship between the deaths and “zero  Covid” policy.

China is currently committing genocide against the Uyghur indigenous population of East Turkistan.

The Chinese government’s Global Times propaganda outlet insisted on Monday that authorities had “optimized” their lockdown protocol to improve its efficiency, touting new policies such as allowing those who live in areas not documenting any coronavirus cases to avoid mandatory testing. The Global Times did not mention the protests, but listed the cities with the largest protests – Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, and Zhengzhou – as those “optimizing” their policies. It nonetheless warned that any “optimizing” would not lead to an end to quarantining and lockdowns.

“The authorities have stressed that optimizing and adjusting the measures does not mean loosening prevention and control, nor is it a lifting of [Chinese coronavirus] restrictions or ‘lying flat’ in fighting the virus,” the Global Times asserted, adding that “the optimized policies were welcomed by many netizens,” but not offering any evidence to back up that claim.

The People’s Daily, the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party, boasted on Tuesday that the lockdown policies that prompted the protests were “scientific and effective” – a claim the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) has contested – and the regime would not abandon them.

The Japanese outlet Kyodo News also observed that China’s Ambassador to the United Nations Zhang Jun made public  remarks this week defending the lockdowns by claiming that the only alternative to them is death.

“You might say you prefer more liberty, more freedom, but then you have to be prepared to die,” Zhang reportedly told the Qatari outlet Al Jazeera.

Also weighing in publicly on Tuesday was Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying, one of the few people in China legally allowed to use the American social media platform Twitter. Hua did not directly address the protests, instead insulting the United States to defend China’s lockdown policy.

“What we want is to protect our people’s lives and ensure them a better life,” Hua said, in a statement that most Chinese citizens could not legally read give the platform it was posted on.

The vocal defense of the Communist Party’s brutal policies erupted simultaneously with police operations to track down and silence known protesters, multiple reports have confirmed. Police are reportedly targeting university students in particular and officials are reportedly attempting to shut down universities to disperse concentrated groups of young people living on campus.

The news agency Reuters reported on Tuesday that it had compiled evidence of police persecuting individuals believed to have been present at protests, ordering them to appear at police stations or otherwise disappearing them into custody.

“In one case, a caller identifying as a police officer in the Chinese capital asked the protester to show up at a police station on Tuesday to deliver a written record of their activities on Sunday night,” Reuters narrated. “In another, a student was contacted by their college and asked if they had been in the area where events took place and to provide a written account.”

“There are just too many police. Police came to check the ID of one of my friends and then took her away. We don’t know why. A few hours later they released her,” one anonymous alleged protester in the nation’s capital told the outlet.

Multiple reports have accused police of seizing the phones of random passersby in Shanghai and checking them for images or videos of protests, deleting anything that may be used to share the reality of China with the world.

Communist Party authorities have also reportedly deployed large numbers of police officers to key plazas and other public spaces that could potentially be used to gather in an attempt to scare protesters away. The U.K. newspaper the Guardian called it a “show of force” intended to silence dissidents.

“Dozens of police cars lined the streets around a central Beijing subway station and patrolled surrounding blocks on Monday evening, while uniformed and plain-clothed officers stood guard at station exits and stopped passersby for questioning,” the Guardian observed. “In Shanghai, authorities barricaded a street where protesters had gathered for the past two nights.”

Some independent reports online have suggested that the Chinese military is planning on a potential intervention. Independent journalist Jennifer Zeng shared a video allegedly showing military vehicles, including tanks, organizing in Xuzhou. Breitbart News could not independently verify the video.

Police are also reportedly attempting to convince citizens that the protests were not a result of genuine disapproval of the lockdown policies, but “foreign interference,” claiming nefarious foreign agents were organizing destabilizing activities. Radio Free Asia (RFA) documented an incident in Beijing in which a man, presumably a Chinese regime agent, approached protesters and condemned them for being “foreign anti-China forces,” prompting general outrage.

RFA reported on Monday that authorities were emptying universities in an attempt to disperse potential protesters. Among those institutions reportedly urging students to leave is Tsinghua University, one of China’s most prestigious academic institutions and dictator Xi Jinping’s alma mater. Reports estimate that thousands of Tsinghua students joined the protests this weekend.

“Tsinghua University … is offering free bus services for students to all major Beijing railway stations and airports so they can return to their hometowns,” RFA reported, citing the Global Times. “Similar measures are underway at the University of International Business and Economics and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to ‘help students return home,’ the paper reported.”

RFA reported, citing several sources, that the Party is forcing university leadership into “emergency meetings” to respond to the protests, addressing them as a “foreign phenomenon” but not offering any evidence that any foreign powers are involved.

“When you say foreign forces, are you talking about Marx and Engels?” one protester reportedly quipped when asked to beware of foreign forces.

White House Ignores China’s Violent Crackdowns in Delayed Statement Supporting Right to Protest

The White House reacted to news of widespread protests of coronavirus lockdowns in China, issuing a mild statement supporting peaceful protests.

“We’ve long said everyone has the right to peacefully protest, here in the United States and around the world,” read a statement from the White House National Security Council shared with reporters. “This includes in the PRC.”

The statement was released Monday morning after critics pointed out that the White House had not said anything over the weekend to defend the protesters.

During the White House press briefing on Monday afternoon, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby repeated a similar message, noting that the president supported the overarching right to peaceful protest.

“The president’s not going to speak for protesters around the world, they’re speaking for themselves,” Kirby said when asked by reporters if he had a specific message to the protesters in China.

But Kirby and White House failed to condemn China’s violent authoritarian crackdowns of the protests or their attempt to censor protesters online.

Biden has personally remained silent throughout the weekend, ignoring reporters as he returned to Washington, DC, on Sunday evening after a long Thanksgiving holiday in Nantucket. He also held an event at the White House with Nobel Prize winners on Monday afternoon that was closed to the press.

The White House statement also noted that China’s “zero COVID” crackdown policies would make it “very difficult” for China to contain the virus, echoing rhetoric used by the World Health Organization.

The statement pointed to promoting vaccines, boosters, testing, and early treatment of the virus as a solution for the United States.

Protests in China continue, as Chinese dictator Xi Jinping is trying to suppress them and hold firm with his coronavirus containment policies.

The latest round of protests was sparked after an apartment building fire killed ten people in Urumqi, as people in the city blamed the lockdown policies for failing to rescue the victims.

Welcome again to Episode #28 of the Eagle’s Eye Report. This episode is Hosted by myself with Co-Host and Producer Stephen Roberts. The title of today’s show is … From Truth to Trust … Or NOT !!! The intent of this weekly show is to be a mechanism for communicating the truth and facts in a country increasingly forbidding of these very concepts.

No, as I say weekly, this not a pleasant way to introduce a show … but today reality is blatant and not very pleasant in many aspects. Thus the reason, and intent behind the Eagle’s Eye Report.

Our mission is to keep you armed with the vital truth, as well as to present you with a platform where you can discuss these vital issues without fear of censorship or exclusion, that being the sponsor of this show … TLBTalk.com.

It Ain’t Over Until It’s Over

NOTE: The first portion of this article/episode is based on an article – They Will Lock You Down Again – written by, Jeffery A. Tucker. A link to the full article can be found below the archived show.

The lords of lockdown barely escaped their worst possible fate, namely that the topic would become the national and international source of scandal that it should be. And let’s add the vaccine mandates here too: even if such had been morally justified, which they were not, there is absolutely no practical reason for them at all.

To have imposed both of these within the course of one year – with zero evidence that they achieved anything for public health and vast amounts of unfolding evidence that they ruined life quality for countless millions – qualifies as a scandal for the ages. It was in the US but also in nearly every country in the world but a few.

Might that have huge political implications? One would suppose so. And yet today it appears that truth and justice are further off than ever. The most passionate of the anti-lockdown governors – those who never locked down or opened earlier than the rest of the country – won on their record. Most of the rest joined the entire political establishment in pretending that all of this is a non-issue. Tragically, this tactic seems to have worked better than it should have.

Meanwhile, a few points to consider:

The US government, through the Transportation Safety Administration, has signed yet another order extending the ban on unvaccinated international visitors until January 8, 2023. This means that no person who has managed to refuse the shot is allowed to come to the US for any reason. This is 30% of the world’s population, banned even to enter the US on their own dime. Something like this would have been inconceivably illiberal three years ago, and been a source of enormous controversy and outrage. Today, the extension hardly made the news.

The Biden administration has once again extended the Covid emergency declaration another 90 days, which continues to grant government vast powers without Congressional approval. Under a state of emergency, the Constitutional structure of the US is effectively suspended and the country remains on a wartime footing. This announcement was not controversial, and, like the above, it barely made the news.

Many colleges and universities, and also other schools and public agencies, continue to enforce the vaccine mandate even without any solid science behind the approval of the bivalent shots or any real rationale behind the push, given that most people have long ago been exposed and acquired natural immunity, and, moreover, it is very well established that the shots do not protect anyone from infection nor stop transmission. They just keep doing this anyway.

… and more …

During the second half a discussion is held on show related topics with Cancel The Cabal‘s Founder/Director and Eagle’s Eye Report Co-Host and Producer Stephen Roberts, The Butcher Shop‘s Founder/Director, and TLB Contributing Partner Bill the Butcher, and myself.

Grab a seat, fasten your seat-belt, and listen up as we discuss and define the what, where, why, and how of the ongoing COVID Global Scamdemic, as well as what is really in-store for humanity going forward …

Democrats Abused Gen Z With Covid Insanity For Years And GOP Leaders Refused To Campaign on It

The “red wave” that never was is in part thanks to Gen Z voters, who turned out in record numbers in the midterms and voted overwhelmingly Democrat. The Gen Z results are devastating and cost Republicans several key races, but they aren’t surprising considering Republican leadership had no strategy to win over young voters. Sen. Mitch McConnell, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Tom Emmer, and the Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel willfully neglected Gen Z.

What is most upsetting about the Democrats’ triumph — with youths preferring that party over Republicans by a whopping 28-point margin, according to exit polls — is that unique from most cycles, Republicans had one important advantage with young, particularly college-aged, voters: Democrats had spent the last two years uniquely torturing Gen Z with ineffective and abusive Covid policies.

Unfortunately, neither McConnell nor McCarthy did anything to capitalize on the incredible circumstances. They had zero plan for recruiting Gen Z voters, opting essentially to hand 10 percent of eligible voters to Democrats, which the left took full advantage of.

In the lead-up to the midterms, Democrats did weekly college campus door-knocking events at dorms and apartments. Democrat candidates visited and spoke to students. Democrat grassroots organizations publicized mail-in-balloting (which is very attractive to the convenience-driven generation). Most importantly, savvy leftist consultant groups taught Democrat candidates how to effectively campaign to young voters via social media and particularly TikTok.

This election cycle was a lost opportunity for Republicans who had a chance to remind young voters that Democrats violated their bodily autonomy and mentally enslaved them for two years. Covid posed virtually no threat to young people. Yet Democrat leaders pressured left-wing university bureaucrats into forcing healthy students to take experimental Covid shots that were not only ineffectual but caused now-verified cases of vaccine injuries, such as heart issues and irregular menstrual cycles

Students who did not comply with the Covid shot mandates were punished in a whole host of ways, including campus officials disabling their university WiFi, barring them from campus, restricting them from attending in-person learning, and preventing them from registering for classes. Some were even expelled

For over a year, leftist administrations defrauded students of their tuition dollars by subjecting them to inferior remote learning. When classes finally resumed in person, colleges required students to wear masks, which continued even when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention admitted they were utterly useless.

Even worse, as University of Chicago student Declan Hurley wrote last year, “In addition to being epidemiologically indefensible, this policy is cruel to deaf and hard-of-hearing students like me” because it “[bars] us from reading people’s lips, muffling people’s voices, and inhibiting effective communication.”

Universities shuttered campus indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, which was not only detrimental to students’ mental and physical health but also anti-science, since being fit is a crucial safeguard against the worst Covid outcomes for those with comorbidities.

Some schools, like the one I attended, forced students to sign documents pledging to follow anti-science Covid mandates. My school’s “Required COVID-19 Attestation” forced students into mental submission as well, making students “agree” to claims such as, “COVID-19 poses a serious public health risk” and “my failure to follow the [COVID-19] requirements,” like wearing a cloth over my mouth, “may endanger myself and/or others.”

Schools were caught targeting and surveilling unvaccinated students, and some institutions are accused of installing security cameras in the hallways aimed at residents’ doors to make sure students weren’t visiting one another.

Perhaps most disturbing was the universities’ anonymous Covid-19 violation reporting systems, where students were encouraged to turn in their peers to university authorities for doing things like standing closer than six feet apart or wearing a mask improperly. Covid violation punishments could be as severe as putting students’ class registrations on hold, kicking them out of student housing, and even suspending or expelling them.

While it is true that most college students were compliant with the Covid mandates, that doesn’t mean they liked them. Many young adults figured out quickly that Covid posed no real threat to them. They knew Covid wasn’t dangerous when they tested positive with mild symptoms. They dutifully showed up to class with their masks on but knew it was all for show because they took their masks off for weekend frat parties. They realized the “vaccines” were worthless once they got Covid after their first jab. They also knew the mandates were unjustified and unethical and that lockdowns in particular caused them to suffer from increased rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Even when they were back in person, social interactions were policed and limited.

How did universities get young people to comply, then? The answer is fear (and not fear of the virus). As UChicago sophomore Eden Negussie said in 2020, “The hysteria around COVID restrictions has bred an environment of such extreme judgment and fear that we cannot even function as normal human beings without being on edge.”

Standing up against Covid tyranny meant social and professional consequences. It meant you could be labeled a “grandma killer” or a “fascist.” It could damage your reputation or cause you to lose friends or student housing. You may even lose an internship or job opportunity. Understandably, students submitted instead of gambling their careers before they’d even started.

Just because students were coerced into compliance doesn’t mean they enjoyed colleges’ mandates. The GOP leaders could have formulated a plan to emphasize how Republican governors from conservative states were able to stop university vaccine mandates and point out how students from liberal states were less fortunate. They could have reminded students of how miserable they were during lockdowns and brought out the incriminating vaccine and mask data that proves Democrat-fueled mandates were not only pointless but harmful.

They could have exposed the liescorruption, and hypocrisy of the politicians and government health bureaucrats who came up with the authoritarian Covid policies. They could have promised to launch investigations that would bring justice to people like Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci. They could have assured students that what Democrats did to them over the last two years was un-American and unethical and that Republicans plan never to let it happen again.

Republicans might not have had a chance at winning Gen Z, but they certainly had a chance at tightening the unprecedented gap by which Democrats won them over. Covid is one of many issues Republicans could have run on (unsustainable grocery, gas, and heating bills are undoubtedly another issue they should have emphasized more to young voters).

Unfortunately, Republican leaders decided to do absolutely nothing. They handed Gen Z to Democrats on a silver platter. Perhaps a misguided Gen Z strategy could have been forgivable, but no strategy is inexcusable — and yet another indication that the old-guard GOP leadership needs to go.

They Will Lock You Down Again !!!

They Will Lock You Down Again

Masking is not in disrepute because we never really obtained anything like an honest admission of their failure to control the spread. Even today, there is a percentage of people out there permanently traumatized. On travels, I’m seeing perhaps 10-20% but in some Northeastern cities, regular wearing of masks is also very common. Once they became a symbol of political compliance and virtue, that sealed the deal and the culture was changed. Now we face the threat of mask mandates whenever government deems it necessary because the Transportation Safety Authority has been given the go-ahead by the courts.

The end of vaccine mandates in most areas of life, and hence also the drive for a passport to distinguish between clean and unclean people, is a good sign. But the infrastructure is still in place and becoming more sophisticated. It is hardly a final victory. It might only be a temporary respite, while all the ambitions are still extant.

More than that, the Biden administration (and all that it represents, including the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, and everything else called the establishment) has its own pandemic plans in place. The idea is not to dial back the mandates or cool it on them. It’s the reverse: centralize all pandemic planning to make a South Dakota, Georgia, and Florida experience impossible the next time. Also, spend tens of billions in more money.

The principle seems to have emerged among the agencies, intellectuals, and politicians who did this. Whatever you do, never admit to having made any major mistakes. And never connect the economic, cultural, health, and educational disasters all around us to anything the government did in 2020 or 2021! That would be nothing but a conspiracy theory.

The pandemic racket is so huge at this point that it is even embroiled in the FTX meltdown over the weekend. Sam Bankman-Fried’s brother Gabe actually founded a nonprofit solely for the purpose of providing “support” for the $30 billion that the Biden administration has allocated to pandemic planning. The institution “Guarding Against Pandemics” is very obviously a honeypot for such funding, complete with on-the-record endorsements from many Democrat Party candidates who won election.

Meanwhile, yes, there have been many successful court challenges to many features of the pandemic response. But not enough. The main machinery that took away liberty and property in the name of virus control is still in place in all its essentials. The CDC to this day brags of its awesome quarantine powers that it can deploy any time government deems it necessary. Nothing about that has changed.

In the big picture and rendered in a philosophical sense, humanity seems to have lost its ability to learn from its own errors. Put in more gritty terms, too many people among ruling-class interests gained financially and in terms of the lust for power during the pandemic to prompt any serious rethinking and reform.

In any case, that rethinking and reform is now put off for another day. Anyone seriously concerned about the future of humanity and the civilizations it built must throw themselves into the long-term battle for truth and reason. That will require that we use every bit of what remains of free speech and what remains of the longing for integrity and accountability in public life. The group we have come to call “they” want a demoralized population and a silent public square.

We cannot allow that to happen.

After Destroying Your Kids’ Education, Teachers Unions Think We Should All Just Hug It Out

After Destroying Your Kids’ Education, Teachers Unions Think We Should All Just Hug It Out

One couldn’t help but notice the ironic timing. One week after the release of results on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) showed a historically large decline in student test scores during Covid-induced lockdowns, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten tweeted out approval of an article in The Atlantic calling for “a pandemic amnesty:”

Apart from the obvious quip of whether there’s an amnesty the left will not support, Weingarten represents perhaps the last person who has the right to advance this message. School lockdowns went on for far longer than they needed to, thanks to Weingarten and her union cronies — and America’s children paid the price. Parents across the country can and should take offense at Weingarten’s dismissive attempt at self-absolution.

Public Schools’ Prolonged Shutdowns

Weingarten’s intervention aside, The Atlantic article has more than a nugget of truth in it. At the beginning of the pandemic, we didn’t know a lot about Covid — exactly how and where it was transmitted, how to treat it, and so much else. In such an environment, people obviously would make statements they thought were true, and promote policies they thought beneficial, only to discover that later evidence proved them wrong.

To that end, writer and professor Emily Oster makes a fair point:

There is an emerging (if not universal) consensus that schools in the U.S. were closed for too long: The health risks of in-school spread were relatively low, whereas the costs to students’ well-being and educational progress were high. The latest figures on learning loss are alarming. But in spring and summer 2020, we had only glimmers of information. Reasonable people — people who cared about children and teachers — advocated on both sides of the reopening debate.

Notice the key qualifier here: “In spring and summer 2020,” people had little information about how Covid spread, and therefore (in Oster’s view) school lockdowns seemed reasonable.

But lockdowns didn’t last only through spring and summer 2020. In many cases, they lasted through the spring of 2021. A tracker of schools’ opening status found that a majority of public schools did not go back to fully in-person learning until the week of April 19, 2021. That’s more than one year after the pandemic began, and well after the period in which Oster argues incomplete and imperfect information should excuse public officials’ poor policy choices. Well into January 2021, at least 1 in 6 public schools remained fully remote, with the schoolhouse doors shut to all would-be learners.

By contrast, an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, released on the heels of the dismal NAEP scores nationwide, notes that Catholic schools took a different approach. Most Catholic schools had reopened their doors by the fall of 2020. And whereas public school students’ test scores dropped dramatically from pre-pandemic levels, scores in Catholic schools actually rose — particularly for African American and Hispanic students.

In other words, by the fall of 2020, school closures, and the drop in test scores that appear to have been caused by the same, represented a policy choice, one that Weingarten and the AFT embraced.

Pro-Lockdown Unions

To her credit, Oster notes that she advocated for school reopenings, and (wrongly, in my view) received harsh criticism at the time for doing so. Weingarten and the organization she heads, on the other hand, didn’t just support prolonged shutdowns — they worked behind the scenes to keep schools closed.

Documents released pursuant to Freedom of Information Act requests revealed how, within weeks of the Biden administration taking office, the American Federation of Teachers received a draft copy of Centers for Disease Control guidance on reopening schools. Several AFT-suggested passages raising doubts about school reopenings were adopted almost verbatim by the CDC, leading one public health expert to ask why “this political group [i.e., the AFT] gets to help formulate scientific guidance for our major [federal] public health organization. … This is not how science-based guidelines should work or be put together.”

Having found herself on the wrong side of history for promoting prolonged lockdowns, Weingarten has spent the past several months trying to rewrite it. However, her claims that AFT supported prompt school reopenings sparked so much pushback that she apparently now wishes to move beyond the entire matter.

America’s Children Suffered

Oster’s article argues that, in the interests of moving forward, “we need to learn from our mistakes and then let them go.” Certainly, perpetual gloating and/or insults won’t advance anyone’s long-term interests, even if they may make people temporarily feel self-satisfied.

But between the two extremes of forgetting history entirely or, to take a more cynical view, putting it in the proverbial memory hole and holding a perpetual grudge stands the appropriate middle ground, where people 1) admit fault and 2) take steps to make amends.

In the case of school lockdowns and their devastating effects, the solutions seem obvious. Even if she won’t offer her resignation as AFT president, will Weingarten admit that she and her organization got things wrong by casting doubt on reopening in AFT’s clandestine communications with the CDC? Will the public school teachers who spent months and months out of the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year commit to doing more in terms of after-school tutoring, to make up for the poor policies their union adhered to for far too long?

The American people should not try to exact vengeance on political leaders who made erroneous policy choices — but they have every reason to demand accountability, including from “leaders” such as Weingarten who fail to admit their mistakes. The children who could suffer the effects of pandemic-era learning loss for years, or even decades, to come should expect no less.
