Report: Biden Is Cutting Medicare Benefits Thru Inflation Reduction Act

Two economists reported Tuesday in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that President Joe Biden is cutting Medicare benefits through the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which cuts payments for prescription drugs for seniors.

Casey B. Mulligan and Tomas J. Philipson wrote:

President Biden has accused Republicans of scheming to cut Medicare. In fact it is his signature legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act, that will lead to benefit cuts and premium increases for seniors. Medicare’s popular drug-coverage program is headed for a painful amputation.

The private plans participating in Medicare’s prescription-drug program, known as Part D, currently draw on three sources of revenue to finance prescriptions: out-of-pocket payments from patients, premium payments made by plan members, and subsidies from the federal government. In 2025, under the Inflation Reduction Act, both government subsidies and out-of-pocket payments by patients are scheduled to be cut sharply. The difference will have to be made up by premiums. But the statute inhibits this third revenue source, which is also subsidized, from increasing more than 6%. That’s hardly enough to cover inflation, let alone compensate for the other two revenue losses.

We estimate that beginning in 2025, plan subsidies—specifically, the reinsurance subsidies for the beneficiaries with the most drug spending—will be cut $30 billion, out of revenue that currently totals about $110 billion. With $30 billion less to finance prescription benefits, something will have to give. Plans currently have far too little profit to span the chasm that the Inflation Reduction Act opens between expenses and revenue.

Biden has claimed to want to cut the costs of prescription drugs like insulin, despite canceling — in his first week in office — an executive order by President Trump to lower the prices of insulin and epinephrine.

He and his party also claimed during the midterm elections that Republicans want to eliminate Social Security and Medicare, since Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) wants to reauthorize all federal spending at regular intervals.

My Family Can’t Afford To Recycle Thanks To Democrats’ Obsession With ‘Environmental Justice’

My Family Can’t Afford To Recycle Thanks To Democrats’ Obsession With ‘Environmental Justice’

I care about the environment. It’s not something conservatives are afraid to say, but it’s also not our main talking point. For instance, I also care about well-budgeted initiatives that actually improve the lives of Americans. Unfortunately, thanks to the Biden administration’s obsession with so-called “environmental justice,” inflation is only getting worse and driving the cost of utilities so high that families can no longer afford the recycling services leftists insist are good for the environment.

My family loves the land. We have a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, and a composter, and we work to limit the amount of single-use plastic products in our home. I’ve been hunting and laid down a deer before. There is no cleaner meat than that. I’m a firm believer that self-sufficiency is one of the healthiest forms of living.

Sure, I used to drive a Yaris and shop at Trader Joe’s, but that was before I became a mother of four. During the nearly two years of the Biden administration’s reign, the cost of living in my area has skyrocketed to the point that cutting back is necessary for survival.

But many families have already done so. We’re way beyond just sticking to the basics; we’re being pinched to the breaking point. In September of this year, the Heritage Foundation found that Americans have lost an average of $4,200 in annual income thanks to the current administration.

While inflation continues destroying lives, Biden continues to ridiculously insist that our economy is “strong as hell.” Meanwhile, those of us who have always maintained strict budgets are cutting back more and more, but there isn’t much left to reduce.

As the cost of gas, groceries, clothes, water, heating and cooling, and other necessities continued to climb, I was struck by a massive change in my family’s waste bill. I expected it to go up due to the gas crisis created by the Biden administration’s energy mismanagement, but it doubled over the course of a few months.

At first, I thought this was a mistake. My husband and I had already changed trash services to a cheaper option, but it was by no means inexpensive. And we bundled the usual waste and recycling together.

While the inflation rate is currently recorded at just over 8 percent, our bill increased by 100 percent. In double-checking the breakdown, half of the new bill was due to environmental fees.

While the Inflation Reduction Act was advertised as a form of benevolent relief to the American people, it was filled with social justice initiatives driven by left-wing party preferences and green theories, which have yet to prove helpful to anyone but the bureaucrats collecting more and more tax money, or “fees.”

One such section was vaguely detailed back in August through a White House fact sheet about how the Inflation Reduction Act helps advance “environmental justice.” Under the section regarding improving clean transit technologies, the administration noted that “addressing diesel emissions” is a priority. Just how this will be addressed is not indicated, but given the recent diesel shortage, and the new slew of “environmental fees” being added to waste bills, one can easily deduce that this will manifest in some form of taxation.

So, now thanks to the new attack on diesel which has at least in part led to the ongoing shortage, my family cannot even afford to recycle. I called to have that service removed, and it’s reducing our waste bill by 25 percent. It’s a frustrating prospect because I’m more concerned about plastic pollution than carbon emissions, and price increases still abound, but honestly, I’ve also been contemplating ending our garbage service altogether and just burning our trash or burying it in the backyard to save money.

That’s how tight things are right now. In a first-world country, families are struggling to afford properly taking out the trash.

How this will lead to “environmental justice” is beyond me. Biden’s green initiatives amount to little more than a money-laundering scheme. They do nothing to help improve the state of the environment.

And there are plenty of other alternative approaches that could be undertaken to protect the environment other than the implementation of costly and burdensome regulations. The government could plant more trees, incentivize reduced plastic packaging in manufacturing, offer families tax breaks for growing their own food, and grant land developers tax breaks for leaving an acre or more of natural space between commercial and residential sites. But, most importantly, we should be investing in energy independence. This would easily be more effective and less costly than overtaxing diesel and strangling people’s bank accounts.

If it comes between feeding my children or paying the garbage bill, I’ll do whatever I can to keep the kids nourished. It may seem like a no-brainer, but we’ve already reduced our heating, cooling, water usage, travel, and eating habits. We were never that wasteful to begin with, but I can’t stop thinking about this as Election Day creeps closer and closer.

My family can’t even afford to recycle anymore. And it’s because of green initiatives meant to further “environmental justice” facades. This is unsustainable.

Biden: ‘A Lot of What We’ve Done’ on Economy ‘Has Not Kicked in Yet’ — ‘I’m Not Sure about’ Polls Showing Voters Favor GOP on Economy

Biden: ‘A Lot of What We’ve Done’ on Economy ‘Has Not Kicked in Yet’ — ‘I’m Not Sure about’ Polls Showing Voters Favor GOP on Economy

During an interview with MSNBC on Friday, President Joe Biden responded to polling data showing people trust Republicans on the economy by stating he’s not sure how accurate polls are and “a lot of what we’ve done and we’ve passed has not kicked in yet.”

Host Jonathan Capehart asked, “[H]ere’s a problem, I think, for you and Democrats, despite all the good economic news, low unemployment, record job creation, wage increases, Social Security cost of living adjustment to 8.7%, the highest in 40 years. And yet, poll after poll shows that the American people trust Republicans on the economy and think that Republicans should control Congress. How do you break through that?”

Biden answered, “I’m not sure about the polls. Because the way people conduct polls today, it’s hard. 90% of it is you get on the telephone where you have to call seven times to get somebody to answer the phone, number one. Number two, a lot of what we’ve done and we’ve passed has not kicked in yet. For example, we have all this money to rebuild the highways, bridges, Internet, etc., but it’s going to take time. It’s not all happening overnight. It’s not like we passed a law and all of a sudden the highways and bridges are all functioning. And it’s not like we’re in a position where we’re saying no senior — which we do — is going to have to pay more than $2,000 a year for their drug costs…it hasn’t kicked in yet. It doesn’t kick in until next year.”

Debate: Democrat Tim Ryan Touts ‘Inflation Reduction’ Act as Economists Say Spending Worsened Inflation

Debate: Democrat Tim Ryan Touts ‘Inflation Reduction’ Act as Economists Say Spending Worsened Inflation

Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan (OH), during a debate on Monday night, touted the so-called “Inflation Reduction” Act as helping Americans, while even liberal economists say Democrat spending worsened inflation.

When asked about supporting the so-called “Inflation Reduction” Act, even though economists have been against spending more, Ryan, during the debate, touted the legislation by saying it was an “opportunity” to reduce inflation.

He noted that, eventually, it would also lead to tax cuts for working people and that the legislation is “not a gimmick” and “it’s an actual economic tool to help relieve some of the pressure.”

However, despite what Ryan said, economists, even liberal economists, have spoken out against the massive level of government spending done by the Democrats, which has fueled the inflation crisis causing suffering for Americans.

Larry Summers, a Harvard professor — who also served as the director of the National Economic Council under President Barack Obama and the Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton — said in November 2021 that Biden’s spending “a tremendous wall of money” that “set off” inflation that “spirals.”

Jason Furman, a Harvard professor — who served as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Barack Obama and on the Council of Economic Advisers and the National Economic Council under President Bill Clinton — said in May 2021 that the spending packages are “too big” and noted that he did not “know any economist that was recommending something the size of what was done.”

Asset manager Steve Rattner, who served as counselor to the Treasury Secretary in the Obama administration, wrote last November in an opinion piece for the New York Times that the amount of spending the Democrats have done “contributed materially to today’s inflation.”

Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said last December that the Democrats’ spending “boosted demand,” which was one proponent of inflation.

Stock Market Tanked 14 Percent Since Biden’s Inflationary Boondoggle Passed

The stock market continued its downward spiral on Thursday as the economy struggles to cope with Democrats’ reckless spending adding fuel to runaway inflation.

All three benchmark indexes closed under their opening value with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down more than 450 points. The NASDAQ dropped nearly 3 percent Thursday and the S&P 500 fell by nearly 80 points.

The Dow’s decline marks a continued trend since the signature passage of President Joe Biden’s dubiously named “Inflation Reduction Act” on Aug. 16. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has now fallen nearly 5,000 points, or more than 14 percent, in the aftermath of Biden’s bill becoming law.

The U.S. inflation rate, meanwhile, remains at a four-decade high with Labor Department data out in early September revealing that prices rose 8.3 percent last month over the year prior. When Biden celebrated the bill’s passage at the White House in mid-September, markets continued to plunge as James Taylor played “Fire and Rain” on the South Lawn.

In July, official GDP numbers revealed two consecutive quarters of negative growth, meaning the country is in a recetion. The Biden administration responded by pretending the recession doesn’t exist and sought to redefine the term, and his lapdogs in the corporate media followed the administration’s lead.

“Most economists and most Americans,” Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told reporters, “have a similar definition of recession — substantial job losses and mass layoffs, businesses shutting down, private sector activity slowing considerably, family budgets under immense strain. In sum, a broad-based weakening of our economy. That is not what we’re seeing right now.”

Most Americans are struggling to cope with inflation, however, with prices for gas and groceries increasing far higher than what they were when Biden took office. The nationwide average for a gallon of gasoline, for example, is $1.36 higher than in January 2021.

According to a survey published by the University of Michigan the month before Yellen’s comments to reporters, consumer sentiment plunged to its lowest record. Inflation also remains at the top of voters’ minds in poll after poll headed into the November midterms. Yet in an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Biden claimed the inflation rate was up “hardly at all.”

As the nation’s economic health continues to deteriorate, the stock market will keep collapsing. The falling markets have already wiped out more than $9 trillion in U.S. household wealth.

Democrats Are Doubling-Down On ‘Stupid’

Democrats Are Doubling-Down On ‘Stupid’

The Democrats are doubling down on ‘stupid’

By: Patricia McCarthy

Different people rise to the top under socialism than under capitalism. The higher on the socialist hierarchy you look, the more you will find people who are too incompetent to do the job they are supposed to do.” – Hans-Hermann Hoppe

As Joe Biden’s mental incompetency continues to be revealed, and his historic unpopularity continues to rise, the leftists who infest MSNBC, CNN and the networks pretend that about thirty people showing up to see Biden in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and ten thousand showing up to see Donald Trump a few days later does not mean Biden isn’t revered and respected.

Of course Biden is not revered or respected — by anyone; he is the worst president in American history and has done terrible damage to the country since he was inaugurated. No one is unaware of these facts. No one. Everyone needs fuel, food and shelter. Biden’s insane energy policies have devastated the nation. The cost of all those things has risen catastrophically. Even the untouched-by-inflation wealthy know this is true. They may not care because their wealth protects them from the worst excesses of Biden’s mismanagement, but they are acutely aware of the economic calamity caused by a cabinet of unqualified and inadequate people, all of whom are unfit to lead a troop of boy scouts.

The Pelosis, the McConnells, the Romneys, Dianne Feinstein, Richard Blumenthal, Mark Warner, et al. Not one of them gives a hoot about how inflation is affecting their constituents, but they cannot deny it is happening and that it is part of the globalist agenda they all support. The middle classes are as much an irritant to the elites as the working class. But they are so arrogant, so secure in their faux superiority, they accept no blame, no responsibility. So stupid are they, they pretend Biden is sentient.

Doubling down on stupid is Biden’s Orwellian-named “Inflation Reduction Act,” billions to be spent on green projects that are mostly scams.

Relying on theft and deceit is an unconscious admission of incompetence.” ― George Hammond

What could make this worse? Putting the corrupt John Podesta in charge of spending it. California absurdly bans the sale of gas-fueled cars by 2035. Other states foolishly follow suit. At the same time, they ask residents to refrain from charging their electric vehicles which they want to make the only purchasing option.

They operate on the ridiculous assumption that wind and solar energy are here, ready to launch planes, trains, and automobiles. They believe that by forcing the public to cooperate, we could all heat and cool our homes with renewable energy sources that simply do not exist in sufficient volumes.

All of Europe is suffering under exorbitant energy prices, the price they are paying for succumbing to the guilt the hoity-toity child scold, Greta Thunberg, heaped upon them.

Trump warned them at the United Nations, and Germany in particular, not to rely on Russia alone for energy. They laughed.

Bet they are not laughing now.

The entirety of the global warming hoax is just that, a hoax, part of the WEF’s plan to control how all the little people live their lives. That’s what the pandemic, lockdowns, mask and vaccine mandates, were all about: Control of the masses. If their tactics killed millions? Collateral damage, the necessary cost of executing their plan; monsters like Yuval Harari have long wanted to depopulate the planet.

The Democrat belief that there is enough green energy to replace fossil fuels is obviously dimwitted and dangerous.

And how about this? The Democrats all know that the left stole the 2020 election. They all know it, without a doubt. They know because they tried to steal the 2016 election but underestimated Trump’s popularity. There has been more than enough proof uncovered in various states to show exactly how they did it. The talking heads on MSNBC and CNN can protest all they want, but they know. Given the number of experts who have weighed in, they all know. They tell themselves it had to be done to prevent Trump from winning.

But he did win. All of which means that the left is responsible for the drastic state of the nation under the hapless Biden. They put him in office by illegitimate means. They doubled down on stupid, and look where it got us!

Then there is the left’s obsession with all things woke, especially transgenderism, as if it affected thirty or forty percent of the population.

In fact, it is about .06%. That is clearly not enough for the left’s ongoing campaign to destroy the nuclear family. This administration is pushing transgenderism as if their lives depended on recruiting as many unsuspecting kids as possible into the trans fold. The more they recruit, the more mutilating surgeries they can underwrite. The Biden administration’s preoccupation with the sexualization of children is obscene.

It is the presidency of grooming and the erasure of women. Allowing biological males to compete against women is rendering women virtually non-existent. This perverted mindset does not bode well for the future of our civilization in peril. This has nothing to do with compassion; it is all about laying waste to the Judeo-Christian values on which this nation was founded. As for the damage done to those suffering from gender dysphoria, a mental illness, the trans activists could not care less. They want to expand their numbers by any means available. This is all not only stupid but evil. (See Matt Walsh’s What is a Woman and Tucker Carlson’s Trangressive on Fox Nation.)

Perhaps the most obvious flashing neon lights of ‘stupid’ is the Democrats’ many, many feeble attempts to ruin Trump by lawfare, beginning with the Russia hoax and their most recent foolhardy panty raid on Mar-a-Lago, a hugely stupid misadventure that revealed those institutions to be something akin to the Keystone Kops.

The Democrats fabricate reasons to indict practically everyone in Trump’s circle and put them in prison if possible. Their desperation would be funny if it were not our reality. Meanwhile, the truly criminal acts of Hillary Clinton, creator of the Russia hoax, and her many partners in crime go unindicted and unpunished. America no longer has an equal system of justice. This president uses the FBI and the DOJ as his personal hit squads, tasked with destroying all opponents.

The Democrats are terrified of Trump and his anti-swamp supporters who will not be mollified by any amount of Bidenesque cajolery.

This is a mendacious administration. It is not representing the people of America but focuses on the wealth-producing perks of public office that enrich themselves and their families. Beyond that, they are all members in good standing of the WEF, that pompous, unscrupulous globalist organization that has long dreamed of implementing their Great Reset, that plan to permanently elevate themselves to a one-world leadership status and render the rest of us serfs. That’s the game they’re playing and they are sticking to it. Wreck the country, preserve their own wealth and power. Unless the masses rise up and stop them, America will be well and truly over.

Is ours a government of the people, by the people, for the people, or a kakistocracy rather, for the benefit of knaves at the cost of fools?” ― Thomas Love Peacock

Want to Win the Midterms … Listen to Ron DeSantis

Want to Win the Midterms … Listen to Ron DeSantis

Want to Win the Midterms? Listen to Ron DeSantis

By: J. Robert Smith

If you’re a GOP congressional candidate, who should you take advice from on how to win your election? Mitch McConnell — who, by all appearances, is a Disney animatron created to trip up Republican contenders — or Ron DeSantis, ultra-successful governor of Florida and a candidate who won a nail-biter in 2018, which was a very Democrat year?

If the GOP candidates follow DeSantis, the Vegas odds favor them bagging their Democrat opponents. DeSantis is no Elmer Fudd hunting wabbits. He’s smart, tough, and relentless – and he’s right on the issues. He wins.

Expect DeSantis to dispatch hatin’ Charlie Crist to a St. Pete taxidermist this November.

Crist, like every other Democrat across the country, is running with America’s wannabe il duce, delusional Joe Biden. Creaky old Joe, that is, who miserably fails at everything he touches. Biden’s 20 months in office is a testament to failure. DeSantis has a four-year track record of success. People are flocking to Florida — not just to hang at the beaches, but to live. Increasingly, salt-of-the-earth folk are shaking off blue state blues for red state freedoms and jobs.

Summed up in a short paragraph is DeSantis’ formula for winning elections. No need to stroke checks to overpriced Washington-dwelling, GOP consultants. You can figure it out all by your lonesome. From the Daily Wire, September 3:

We’ll hold Biden accountable,” DeSantis told [“The Ingraham Angle”] guest host Raymond Arroyo. “This is a referendum on his failures, make sure everybody knows how his policies have contributed to the mess we’re in, and then articulate what you will do to address things like the border, like crime, like inflation. I think if you do that, I think Republicans are going to win both chambers. And I think it’ll be a really good night.” [italics added]

If hunting isn’t your thing, think of DeSantis as a boxer. He’s recommending the old one-two punch. No need to win on points when you can KO your opponent.

This election season, KOing Democrats happens first with the facts of Biden’s dreary record.

Republicans running against incumbent Democrats need to pound away at their voting records, which ties them to the disastrous policies and governance of Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer. In open seat contests, a Republican need only ask his dodging opponent: “Do you support Joe Biden? If so, why? If not, why are you running as a Democrat?” The second punch — the KO — is telling voters what you’ll do to make things better. Once your opponent is on the canvas, it’s match over. Voters will see to it.

So, if hunting or boxing isn’t for you, then imagine you’re a painter. Voters, being busy with daily life, don’t have much time to tour art galleries. With jobs to work, bills to pay, and kids to tend to, they aren’t going to devote a heckuva lot of time studying your masterpiece versus whatever a Democrat slops on a canvass.

Take advice from a master, the late, great Gipper — yes, the affable but politically shrewd Ronald Reagan: Dump the insipid pastels that establishment Republicans love (who really likes motel lobby art?) and paint in big, bold colors. Offer stark contrasts with Democrats. Ask grandmaster Donald Trump about the indispensability of contrast, especially this year. Your painting needs to show voters how vividly different you are from your opposition.

Even Old Joe, in his bitter, hate-filled rant before Independence Hall the other night, was setting up a classic “us versus them” contrast, albeit in the creepy, destructive way of a demagogue. Let Biden and Democrats hate. Republicans need to lay out differences with calm and precision, but never back off.

Frame the choice for voters starkly: “You can buy the mess that Biden and his Democrats have splashed onto a canvas or buy this smart, sensible composition I’ve rendered.” Then watch how voters line up to buy your art.

This election, Republicans command the issues and should express their positions confidently. Inflation, energy costs, crime, the border, Biden’s personal corruption and the corruption of the Department of Justice and FBI, for starters, are the stuff of your election masterpiece. Use all those elements without subtly. Voters want to see the big picture.

Some Republicans, being parochial souls will claim, “What works for DeSantis in Florida won’t work for us in Nebraska or Pennsylvania.” Poppycock. There’s an old bias that travels ‘round and ‘round: that people are different depending on their part of the country.

Sorry to dent local pride, but human nature is universal. Some issues may differ — not many Nebraskans care about eradicating pythons in the Everglades — and personal styles may vary, but people are people, kumbaya! Most Americans — from the Florida Keys to the Aleutian Islands — prefer a straight talker like Harry Truman to Slick Willie or a polished snake oil peddler like Barack Obama. (Mitt Romney lost to Obama in 2012 because he didn’t have the cojones to keep fighting with straight talk.)

After what seems like an eternity of Biden’s compulsive lying and Democrats routine inversions of the truth — except when doddering Bernie Sanders slipped, spilling the beans about the laughably  named “Inflation Reduction Act” — plain talk is in demand. Mealymouthed, “Can’t we all just get along” babble isn’t what voters need. Respect voters by not mincing words.

Jittery Republicans who blur differences court needless defeat. To borrow from the British Parliament, the upcoming elections are about “dividing the House.”

Democrats to the left, Republicans to the right. No in-between. Democrats mustn’t be permitted to pretend to be conservative in any way. They must be forced to stand with Joe, Nancy, and Chuck. They must be held strictly accountable for plunging the nation into a cauldron of troubles, troubles that are launching the nation toward crises.

In the wee hours, when Republican candidates have time to take stock, they need to reflect on the fact that the midterms and the 2024 elections aren’t run-of-the-mill. These aren’t ordinary times. Wishing so won’t make it so.

The republic is fast approaching a crossroads. Shall there be a rebirth of our rights and liberties or are we to sink into tyranny, the definition of which isn’t yet entirely clear, though the contours are unmistakable? Shall we bequeath a prosperous nation – a nation of expansive opportunities — to future generations or are prosperity and opportunity to be ground under by the anti-liberty cabal on the left? Shall we be a nation freed from deep institutional corruption — a nation that restores moral integrity to our institutions and culture? Or is the nation’s future brutish and morally squalid?

Republican candidates reading this, answer these questions: If you have children, grandchildren, and, one day, great-grandchildren, which America do you want them inhabiting? When they look back on you, what will they think? In this critical moment in our nation’s life, will they see you has having taken courage in hand? Will they regard you as consequential in this fight? Or as failing to measure up when it was most required of you?

Now, pause … and try to imagine how Reagan, Trump, and DeSantis would answer those questions.

Biden’s Loan ‘Forgiveness’ Decree Proves ‘The Inflation Reduction Act’ Was A Joke

The so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” was signed by President Joe Biden on Aug. 16. On Aug. 24, a mere eight days later, the same president announced his student debt “forgiveness” decree.

Let’s, for the sake of argument, momentarily take the Dems at their highly dubious word and accept that the “Inflation Reduction Act” was not only a “historic” Earth-saving “investment” but one that also saved taxpayers $300 billion by implementing a new tax hike on consumers and a six-fold expansion of the IRS. And let’s suspend our disbelief and ignore the fact that virtually every welfare-state program ends up existing in perpetuity, experiencing mission creep, and costing vastly more than initial projections.

A new Penn Wharton Budget Model study finds that President Biden’s “student loan forgiveness” will cost taxpayers $605 billion—or approximately $300 billion more than the historic recently passed inflation-reducing law was allegedly cutting. That’s using “static” assumptions. The Penn study also finds that probable variations in behavior, due to an income-driven repayment program that caps monthly payments (as if the moral hazard of nationalizing loans wasn’t bad enough), is likely to drive the cost of the program over $1 trillion:

There would also be financial incentives for future borrowers to shift education financing toward more borrowing to take advantage of the 5% repayment threshold. If the Department of Education simply auto-enrolled borrowers for which it had sufficient information (i.e., switched from “opt in” to “opt out”), the additional costs of the IDR program alone could reasonably exceed $450 billion.

Yet, the same political media that suddenly grapples with defining a “recession,” and regularly refers to Florida’s parental freedom bill as “Don’t Say Gay,” has simply regurgitated the Democrats’ propagandistic “inflation” bill language, even though anyone who’s spent five minutes in Washington understands that the “savings” were nothing but accounting gimmicks meant to allow Joe Manchin and others to tell their constituents that inflation concerns were satisfied. And by the way, where is the principled Manchin today? After helping Democrats play this transparent game where socialists demand $5 trillion and then settle for a bill with an estimated price tag of $740 billion, he is silent on Biden’s trillion-dollar unconstitutional spending decree.

Even if we believed all the fabricated numbers found in the “Inflation Reduction Act,” not only did Biden’s loan “forgiveness” decree blow up any pretense that the reconstructed “Build Back Better” bill was even nominally about stemming inflation, but it blew it up in just eight days.
