Those words were penned by the Prophet, John Lennon before he was shot in the back for saying that he was more popular than Jesus. God made man, man made churches, churches made theology, and then the plate was passed.

Another noted writer, John Fogarty coined the phrase What You Burn in Your Crazy Mind. In my humble opinion, you can learn more about the human condition listening to old timey rock and roll than you’ll ever learn from Joel Osteen! I find it amazing that people find it amazing when they discover that their spiritual leaders are surprisingly human. Atheists poo poo the Bible, but there’s a lot of wisdom packed between those covers. Things like for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God!

The case of Jesse Boyd v The State of Montana is such a paradox. Here we have a church group going down a country road, marching for Jesus. We’ve all seen this before. A demonstration of faith. Usually dragging a cross and handing out pamphlets to passers by. No harm done. Donate or drive on by. Myself, I keep change in my ashtray and when I see anyone doing that or holding a sign I grab some change and give it to them. I believe God hears their prayers before mine, and I need all the prayers I can get!

The Church of the Righteous Gun would have been alright except that a motorist didn’t stop to donate. He stopped to let them know that they were illegally parked. Now, this could have ended right there, all except four of the disciples chose to beat the hell out of the old boy, one with an American flag.

(I’m sorry I did that, Lord, I promise I won’t do that no more.)

The way I understand it, he is going to rely on a freedom of religion defense. The promise of that freedom is supposed to be secured by the First Amendment. Let’s get a picture of that.

That looks all very fine until you apply federal law. If you want to dance with snakes in Arkansas on Sunday that’s freedom of religion, but if you want to dance with a couple sister wives in Salt Lake City that’s a felony. Meanwhile, out in California men marry men, women marry women, and tigers marry chairs. The same legal logic applies to the second extension of the constitution. Picture please.

Now, I want you to walk into any courtroom with a gun strapped to your hip, reciting that to the judge as you approach the bench. I’ll notify your survivors.

You can preach to passers by all you want, but you can’t beat ‘em up. It’s as simple as that. The first blow thrown also threw the Bible out the window. The lawyer for the defense will twist and turn the events with his legalese, but that won’t change the basic facts of the case. Four against one, flag as a weapon, they were illegally parked, and from what I understand Mr. Terrell was only exercising his freedom of speech.

The Gang of Four are not without their supporters. One example being John Lamb. He put up a video swearing before God and five other old white men that the highway whereupon the incident took place was the place, and therefore holy ground, and this shall be borne out by three holy tablets which Lawyer Pierce will present to the court presently. Can I have an Amen?

I grew up a Baptist. I became Catholic, with a side order of Mormon. There are many flavors of the Faith. When two believers of different wavelengths cuss and discuss it usually boils down to one proposition. My invisible guy in the sky can whip your invisible guy in the sky! No one has the complete answer. One from Column A two from Column B. Jesus Himself said Those who are not against is are for us. Ask yourself. Other than seeking personal glory (Which is what they were really doing) on that road that day, what did Boyd & Co. accomplish, other than an assault on an old man? And on that road Jesus didn’t show up and blind anyone. Ya’ll have a blessed day.

New Petition Backs One Nation’s 2020 NSW Religious Freedom Bill Abandoned by the Big Parties

Alongside pandemic cronyism’s cost-of-living pressures, the battle for religious freedom is a vital political battleground.

As a long-cherished key component of freedoms, protected under Christ-centred classical liberalism, freedom of religion is the proverbial canary in the coal mine.

Learn from the history of Eastern Europe after red horde “antifascists” raped, plundered, and pressed people into the service of Soviet expansionism.

Lose religious freedom, and eventually, Western society loses them all.

Neo-Marxist Control

For many Middle Eastern and Eastern European Western Sydney residents, losing freedoms, and the subsequent political persecution which followed, is partly why 64.9% said “no” to same-sex marriage in 2017.

This is why members of that community defended Israel Folau in 2019.

The memory of being forced to live by lies under Communist puppet states, informs global concerns about the West’s slow surrender to forced speech, thought police, and politicised phobias (see here, here, here, here and here).

Having had their concerns validated by the continuous pattern of bullying from LGBT Incorporated, this is also why some of Australia’s victims of Communism are demanding politicians reconsider One Nation’s 2020 Anti-Discrimination Amendment (Religious Freedoms and Equality) legislation.

When asked, Michael Andjelkovic, Independent for Liverpool, agreed.

Concerns about political persecution run right through the more sober-minded members of Australia’s religious community.

Andjelkovic, who is connected to the Serbian Orthodox church, told Caldron Pool that alongside voting in the New South Wales state election in March, he’s asking concerned members of the religious community to sign an e-petition requesting the urgent enactment of One Nation’s proposals.

Vital Human Right

Agreed upon, then avoided for political reasons by the major parties, the Mark Latham bill was passed by the legislative council and legislative assembly, via a 2020 Joint Select Committee.

Latham’s proposals, in sum:

  1. Prohibited discrimination on the ground of a person’s religious beliefs or religious activities in work and other areas, so that religion has protections equal to other forms of discrimination in NSW.
  2. Protected religious schools by asking the state to recognise that ‘doctrines, tenets, beliefs or teachings of the religion are integral to the existence and purpose of these organisations; and that religious and associational freedoms are fundamental to a free and democratic society.’

Latham was backed by Dr Con Kafataris, (founder of the Australian Christian Alliance), who sees a gathering storm heading for Christian schools if freedom of religion isn’t safeguarded.

Kafataris’ concerns include the potential impact on churches if vilification proposals backed by Labor become state law.

The New South Wales One Nation legislator was also supported by the Australian Religious Alliance (formerly the Australian Christian Alliance), who have put themselves at the forefront of what will be a long fight with Cultural Marxist bureaucrats over protections for Classical Liberal freedoms.

Michael Andjelkovic said that Mark Latham will be delivering a keynote address about his religious freedom protection proposals in South-western Sydney on March 2.

Opponents of religious freedom know if they can tear down freedom of religion, they are removing the vanguard of conscience, thought, faith, and family. Any success replaces a free society with an enslaved one. A house of freedom for a house of slavery.

Commenting on the importance of protecting freedom of religion, Andjelkovic said we “don’t need a watered-down version. We need Latham’s.”

The One Nation bill is holistic, representative of classical liberal values, and specific to the protections of hard-won classical liberal freedoms.

Revival and the Healing of Australia

Years ago, while travelling to our friends’ cattle property in Central Queensland, Fiona and I were struck by how dry and barren the countryside looked.

We imagined the wild animals constantly searching for water in that unforgiving environment.


Desperate Need

Without a doubt, our nation has experienced a desert-like environment when it comes to the sweet flow of God’s Spirit. And like those animals in the Callide Valley, so many people have desperately searched for a water source to quench their thirst and impart life.

Not knowing any better, many have hoped for relief in Satan’s paltry offerings.

They have sought satisfaction in empty entertainment, alluring drugs and alcohol, soul-destroying sexual pursuits, and ever-demanding materialism — all of which are cruel mirages that promise so much and deliver only emptiness.

There is only one thing that truly satisfies the thirsty soul, and that is the presence of God.

Promising Signs

Today the countryside in Central Queensland looks very different. Barren fields have been replaced by green pastures, following significantly increased rainfall over the past twelve months or so.

Previously near-empty dams are now full. Residents in South-East Queensland are even being “encouraged to make the most of high water supply levels” by way of a $55 discount on their water bills.

Perhaps this significant change we are witnessing in the natural environment is an imminent sign of what is about to happen spiritually in this nation.

“But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.”

On the back of cruel politico-pharma tyranny and medical segregation, social breakdown and imminent economic upheaval, there are signs that refreshing rains are coming and revival is set to break out in the churches.

Sweet Rivers of Revival

As evil increases and the world system fails, people become increasingly desperate for life-giving water and Divine intervention. History teaches us that they turn to God and look to the church.

Great Southland Revival

Responsibility falls heavily on the church at this time, and that is why we must have revival.

Our church meetings may be the last roll of the dice for many burnt-out, disillusioned travellers. It is essential that we are the life-giving oases that they are desperately seeking.

Our church gatherings must be refreshing springs. Our assemblies must be reservoirs of the living water that can transform dying souls into brand-new men and women!

Jesus Christ must be seen and heard in all that we do. He must not be hidden behind fancy trappings or empty religion.

We must have the presence of God in our meetings.

On the last day, that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried out, saying,
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

Witnesses to His Power

There are incredible flow-on effects when just one life is mightily touched and transformed by the power of God. There is no greater witness to the life-transforming power of God, than the person who has just experienced it.

Jesus shared living water with a woman He met at a well and she went and brought the rest of the town back to get some!

Flow Mighty River, Flow

There is a mighty rushing river about to flow in this nation. It will come like a flash flood and it will come out of the church. It is the sweet Spirit of God — the yoke-destroying anointing that terrifies Satan to his core.

Satan remembers being exposed by the anointing when our Lord Jesus Christ walked the earth and defeated him at the Cross. And he remembers his oppressive kingdom being plundered when the early church flowed in that same anointing.

All through church history, the devil has been broadsided when the church is revived and the anointing flows through God’s people in great measure.

There is a River of Life that makes the lame to walk and the blind to see, that opens prison doors, and sets the captives free. And that River is about to flow out of us corporately — in a mighty way — for the healing of the nation.
